Lawrence grew up like your average kid until one day his brother Danny joined a mafia, Danny always told Lawrence about the things he learnt from the mafia. Lawrence had close connections with that mafia because of Danny. One day Danny suddenly disappeared on a day where he had promised to meet Lawrence at a local bar. Instead somebody else met Lawrence there, Sam Marley a powerful debt collector from the mafia he informed Lawrence that Danny had amounted a enormous debt to the mafia and had disappeared without a trace where he was. Sam informed Lawrence that the debt had been passed onto him reason being his relationship with Danny, Lawrence tried to refuse but to no avail Sam threatened to kill him and his brother if Lawrence were to decline. Lawrence had no choice, a bit suspicious that Sam has never told him the money that Danny owed but he couldn't question it on account of Sam having an entire mafia on his side. Months later Lawrence is still struggling to pay off the debt, he resorted to stealing cars and petty theft. Sam made fairly regular appearances to collect the money Lawrence has amassed sometimes the visits became too regular brutally attacking him, once even taking Lawrence's left eye as payment. To this day Sam had never revealed the insane amount of money Danny owed.

In reality Lawrence had never owed Sam anything, neither did Danny. Danny was dead. A rumor spread around the mafia concerning a mole. Danny was suspected and was soon found guilty and killed on the spot. Sam had just been lying to Lawrence to make money off of the mole incident as well as lying about the fact that his brother was missing. He knew exactly were he was. In an alley 6 feet under.
