Even while this Effect is not active, if any Spatial Anomalies come within 50 feet of you, you may roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 7 to detect them.

His knuckles have become hardened, and his biceps and triceps have doubled in size.
A fan of comic books, Mark knew he had to learn to fight. He tends to fight like classical superheroes, just because he hasn't been taught any different- leaning hard on brutal strength and speed rather than skill or finesse.

Mark's unique genetics kicked in at a young age, though it was nearly his late teenage years before he actually started practicing combat and fighting, visiting a community boxing club.

First thing he learned was how to not break them.
Second was how to not destroy the gloves.

You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in unarmed combat.

Your unarmed attacks deal +2 Bonus Damage (instead of -2). The target's Armor is fully effective against this damage.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Armored Fist: You cannot take damage from attacking a dangerous material (such as steel armor, a spiked carapace, or an acidic blob). You may Clash with or Defend against any melee weapons or arrows.
  • Bullet Catcher: You may React to and Defend against firearms and other projectiles.
  • Disarm: If you successfully Defend against or clash with a melee attack, your attacker is disarmed.
  • Finesse: Before making an unarmed attack, you may choose a specific Wound Level. If your attack succeeds, any Injury they receive which would take them beyond the specified Wound Level is reduced in Severity down to an Injury which would take them to exactly the specified Wound Level.
  • One Inch Punch: Even if you are bound or grappled, you may make a standard unarmed attack without penalty if your finger can touch your target.
  • Transcendence: You may Exert your Mind to Defend against any number of incoming Attacks this Round as a Free Action. While active, you can only Defend against attacks directed at yourself. When Defending against a mob using the Mob Combat rules, their Attack does not gain the normal Outcome bonus.

  • Reminder: Bonus Damage stacks with Weapon Damage, but does not stack with any other Bonus Damage. Instead, the highest Bonus Damage is used.
  • Unlike the Ability Brawl, this Effect does not affect small weapons such as knives.

The Werecats powerful legs are capable of launching it across long distances and allowing it to land with relative ease and grace. In the case that they are in their human form, their legs briefly shift into those of the Werecat form, allowing them to access their incredible leaping abilities.

Exert your Mind (unless Alternate Form) and spend an Action to activate. Select a Location which is at most 25 feet away horizontally or 5 feet away vertically.

You jump to the chosen location. If the landing is precarious, the GM may call for a roll to land safely. You will never take fall damage from successfully landing a jump made with this Effect.

  • If you are Encumbered, the maximum range is cut in half. If Encumbrance has reduced your total movement to 0, you cannot activate this Effect.
  • Rolls to land safely will generally be Athletics, but GMs may call for a different roll at their discretion if it makes sense for the specific circumstances.
  • You must be on a surface of some kind in order to activate this effect; it cannot be activated while in mid-air.
  • You may only use this Effect once per round of combat, regardless of any enhancements you have taken.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

Truly one with the dead, Widow begins to not need the things of the living that give them life.

The Demolitionist can sculpt plastic explosives such that they appear to be nothing more that children's toys. These objects have a blue coloration or tint, and don't appear to be anything but the mundane object whose appearance they have taken.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. Select a Plastic Explosives within arm's reach.

The target becomes disguised with a new forged appearance of your choice, which must fit within the theme of children's toys. You may have up to 3 Forgeries active concurrently and may choose to end the effect at will as a Free Action.

The new appearance must be relatively generic, cannot mimic specific items (such as a particular painting, a certain person’s ID, etc), and must be of a similar size and weight to the targeted Object. The forged appearance will generally hold up to any mundane scrutiny, though exceptions can be made at GMs discretion.

  • The composition of the original object will not be altered, and it will not lose its functionality or gain any new functionality outside of its changed appearance.
  • Any attempt to use an object for a function which it cannot perform (for instance, making bread look like a knife and then trying to stab someone) may cause the disguise to fail or require a Perception check at GM's discretion.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

The toon shouts a catchphrase, strikes a pose, and then zips away at a high speed, leaving a cloud of dust behind. While moving, they look like a blur.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate.

You can run at three times your normal movement speed for the next minute.

  • Any Encumbrance penalty to your movement still applies, but you do not suffer from any sort of exhaustion.
  • Damage from a collision depends on your speed at the time, as well as what you hit. GM's discretion, but generally moving faster than a car on the freeway and hitting a dense, solid object like a wall or a tree should be lethal. Mundane armor will not apply, but any supernatural forms of protection will.

The Ninja is a master at blending in to any crowd or organization. If they can find complete privacy, they may channel their ninjutsu to temporarily create the illusion of any outfit or uniform they desire. The new clothes shimmer into existence over their existing garb over the course of a minute of meditation.

The time-twister presses a button on one of her wrist watches, and, in a flash of orange light, disappears. She has skipped 9 seconds forward in time. To her, the travel is instantaneous, but everyone else must wait until she reappears.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action or Reaction to activate. You must actively and obviously use a clock or watch to activate this Effect.

You phase out of reality for 3 Rounds. During this time, you cannot perceive or affect the outside world or take any Actions. Nothing can interact with you in any way.

  • You may use your Free Movement on the Round you phase back in, but you cannot take an Action.

The Thief examines an object closely for a minute to appraise its value. As their eyes dance across the subject, their pupils split vertically, and their irises fade to gold. If it is a particularly valuable item, the Thief may greedily lick their lips, revealing a forked tongue.

Within a minute, they have determined how materially valuable the object is and why.

Exert your Mind and spend a minute to activate. Select a target Object within arm's reach. At the end of your investigation, roll Charisma + Culture at Difficulty 6.

You learn all the following information about your target:

  • You learn the object's highest material value and why it is worth so much.
The quality and specificity of information gained depends on your Outcome.
