Circumstances describe your situation.
Examples include enemies, wealth, notoriety, social status, contacts, fame, and imprisonment.
Because each Playgroup has its own setting, Circumstances record the Playgroup they were acquired in.
Conditions describe your state of being.
Examples of Conditions include curses, diseases, and impactful personality quirks.
Conditions are granted by Assets and Liabilities or by GMs based on the events of Contracts and Downtime activities like Moves, and Loose Ends.
Because Conditions may have GM-created systems, they also record the Playgroup they were acquired in.
Loose Ends will cause problems for you if you don't tie them up.
Examples of Loose Ends include enemies, debts, evidence, and promises.
All Loose Ends have a Cutoff that counts down each time you attend a Contract. When it hits zero, the Threat of your Loose End manifests, causing issues for your Contractor.
You cannot see the current values of your Loose Ends' Cutoffs, but you can take initiative and make Moves on your Downtimes to deal with them before time runs out.

Ace Pieceman was always a ruffian, he grew up in a very "country" background; that is to say he grew up around a lot of musicians, hunters, gunnuts, typical southern folk of Eastern Kentucky. Ace spent the majority of his childhood growing up into the country-heritage, he played guitar, he shot guns, he hunted deer, he threw up clay pigeons, and he bullied nerds. Ace's family wasn't too notable save for one particular uncle who went by the name Andrew Bartholomew Pieceman; this uncle was known by the family for being rather reclusive and for having a, peculiar hobby. Ace never really saw much of his black sheep uncle as his uncle lived in further east; into the Appalachia's, and Ace lived in an actual town, Ace spent the majority latter half of his childhood living as a normal southern country boy; happy and content.
When Ace was just becoming a teen, and away on scouts leave; his entire family passed away in a mysterious tragedy deemed by local authorities to be "Anomalous" in nature. Ace's entire family had been slaughtered during a trip, their bodies found emaciated and drained as if an apple had been internally dried out. Ace was devastated, his only family was his uncle Bartholomew who lived at the foot of the Appalachians in way-Eastern Kentucky: the black sheep of the family whom Ace was sent to live with.
Apon arriving at his Uncle's Ace was disturbed by how weird everything was, his uncle kept bizarre trophies and taxidermed sculptures of things that Ace just didn't understand. Ace's Uncle's home itself was a strange enclave hidden far away from normal civilization, off twisting country backroads and forest paths that no sane human would ever go down. The home was filled with weaponry, equipment, boons that no typical hunter would have, this was when Ace first began to dip into the world of the Supernatural.
Ace's Uncle began to explain to him slowly that his family had been killed by something supernatural; an anomaly to this world, he began to break it to him that supernatural was less fantasy and more a tragic reality of the world; a revelation that Ace at first thought to be a joke but soon came to accept as reality. Ace with the tragic loss of his family and former way of life took it apon himself to avenge his family, it became his new calling in life. Ace began to train with his uncle, he began to practice special regiments and drills prescribed to him by his Uncle and even accompanied his uncle on his hunts. He learned what sources to follow, what sources to not follow, who to talk to, who not to talk to, what to do, what not to do, he learned what was natural and what wasn't.
Years passed and as Ace came unto his own his Uncle began to grow sick; and in time it became clear that he would eventually pass and Ace would have nowhere to go as the government would eventaully confiscate his land and belongings. Ace never had time to finalize his cryptid training by slaying one of his own, but as his Uncle's days waned his Uncle gave him what possessions he could; and pointed him towards a contact. His Uncle had formerly been contracted by a rather auspicious man who went by the name "Batimir Feratu", a known Rockstar and apparently a not-so-known Occult Investor, His Uncle explained to him that he'd worked for the man and if Ace could make himself useful to him he'd have somewhere to go and somewhere to start again.
Ace took what his Uncle gave him, and found the man at a perfect time; he explained to him what had happened and what he'd been told and implored the man to give him a shot in life and Batimir began to appraise the man; asking him what he could do what he was useful for and why should he take him in? Ace listed his skills, demonstrated them even, and surprisingly it wasn't the gunplay the man was interested in; it was his Guitar skills.
As it turns out Batimir actually needed a guitarist for his band as the previous one had quit on him, and that Ace had come at the opportune time; and the fact that Ace was a descendant / kid of a former associate of his only made it more appealing. Batimir also liked the idea of having someone like him in his band, now Ace was not unfamiliar with the Occult however Ace just assumed the whole "Vampire" thing was a stage character. Ace learned to live with the Rockstar, he learned how to be apart of the ever-shifting Band, and eventaully the two got along.
Things since then have evolved, Batimir has come unto wealth and as a result so has Ace. Lichbane has evolved into a somewhat impressive corporate franchise known as the BoB or Brothers of Blood; with it's upper echelon known to select few as the Crimson Court, a group of prestigious and trustable cultists / muscle that Batimir has had ties with apparently since he was born. Ace now accompanies Batimir personally backed by money and security, Ace now looks forward to exploring the world of the occult; with newly backed resources and manpower from the Count.
