Circumstances describe your situation.
Examples include enemies, wealth, notoriety, social status, contacts, fame, and imprisonment.
Because each Playgroup has its own setting, Circumstances record the Playgroup they were acquired in.
Conditions describe your state of being.
Examples of Conditions include curses, diseases, and impactful personality quirks.
Conditions are granted by Assets and Liabilities or by GMs based on the events of Contracts and Downtime activities like Moves, and Loose Ends.
Because Conditions may have GM-created systems, they also record the Playgroup they were acquired in.
Loose Ends will cause problems for you if you don't tie them up.
Examples of Loose Ends include enemies, debts, evidence, and promises.
All Loose Ends have a Cutoff that counts down each time you attend a Contract. When it hits zero, the Threat of your Loose End manifests, causing issues for your Contractor.
You cannot see the current values of your Loose Ends' Cutoffs, but you can take initiative and make Moves on your Downtimes to deal with them before time runs out.

Dr. Amanda Knox is a doctor in botany with a fascination with the supernatural and exotic. She is renowned in the field for her studies on supernaturally-imbued plants, and she is also active in environmental advocacy. Amanda prefers using her first name as opposed to Dr. Knox to differentiate between herself and her parents.
Amanda was born to a small family in the suburbs of Chicago. Her parents were both university professors teaching anthropology and physics. Due to this, Amanda spent much of her childhood visiting university and new very early on that they wanted to go into academia, despite not being particularly interested in their parents subjects of choice. At 13 her family took a vacation to Bolivia, at which point Amanda became infatuated with the rainforest and it's plants. From that point on they began keeping a variety of exotic plants, though at that point her "collection" was at a minimum.
Amanda received their undergraduate at the university in Chicago where her parents taught. They received an undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in public speaking. During her time in undergrad, she had a non-violent encounter with a ghost, who's presence appeared to cause the death of one of their plants. When her closest friend at the time didn't believe them, they swore to themselves that they would do research on the supernatural to provide proof for those still skeptical of their existence and to better understand what happened.
Amanda went to a graduate school in New York to study botany and conduct her own research for the first time. She began designing ways to experiment with elements of the supernatural and see the affect it would have on plant life. During this time, she ran across an environmental group who had been protesting on campus and they were soon recruited.
In the two to three years since she achieved her Ph.D. Amanda made a name for herself as one of a few botanists studying the supernatural. While some members of the scientific community praised them for the advancement, many deniers of the supernatural consider them to be a sham. During this time, Amanda would also take part in a number of activist protests and activities to fight for environmental change and replant trees. Unlike the other advocates however, Amanda Knox's focus in environmentalism is in plants and helping them grow rather than animals or large scale environmental change. It is rumored among peers that Amanda wants to see a world where plants take over.
Amanda has yet to stick to one particular professorship or research position, instead for now mainly working out of her own greenhouse and jumping from position to position, relying on prize money and funds from her parents. Outside of advocacy and work life, Amanda leads a mostly secluded life, happily tending to their plants and keeping an eye out for new specimens.
