Circumstances describe your situation.
Examples include enemies, wealth, notoriety, social status, contacts, fame, and imprisonment.
Because each Playgroup has its own setting, Circumstances record the Playgroup they were acquired in.
Conditions describe your state of being.
Examples of Conditions include curses, diseases, and impactful personality quirks.
Conditions are granted by Assets and Liabilities or by GMs based on the events of Contracts and Downtime activities like Moves, and Loose Ends.
Because Conditions may have GM-created systems, they also record the Playgroup they were acquired in.
Loose Ends will cause problems for you if you don't tie them up.
Examples of Loose Ends include enemies, debts, evidence, and promises.
All Loose Ends have a Cutoff that counts down each time you attend a Contract. When it hits zero, the Threat of your Loose End manifests, causing issues for your Contractor.
You cannot see the current values of your Loose Ends' Cutoffs, but you can take initiative and make Moves on your Downtimes to deal with them before time runs out.

From a young age, Evelyn had a strong sense of intuition when it came to people. Though she didn't know it as a child, she subconsciously knew what it looked like when someone was telling the truth or lying. In school, she excelled in most subjects but was mostly disinterested in her academics. Everything she was doing at the moment was a waste of time, in her point of view.
Her parents didn't really care about what she did or where she went. Evelyn graduated college and almost immediately got herself an apartment and a stable job as an accountant. This would be any college graduate's dream, but Evelyn wasn't satisfied. Everything was almost too easy, and she needed something more exciting. Her job paid the bills, but sitting at a desk and tapping away at a computer for 8 hours a day was uneventful, to say the least. As luck had it, there happened to be a casino in the city not far from her apartment. Half driven by curiosity and half driven by boredom, she stepped into the building and found what would be her new source of income.
Evelyn was wise to gamble in relatively small amounts, passing off as a middle-class worker who wanted the thrill that came with the game. She was already proficient in the card games when she first stepped in, and only got better with time and experience. While she did lose a good amount of money at first, soon Evelyn was making a profit every time she left the building.
One of her favorite questions to ask her opponents is something along the lines of "Will you tread carefully, or risk it all?" Any reaction on their face, no matter how miniscule, would not go unnoticed and would certainly not be disregarded. She was, quite frankly, ruthless when it came to these games. Anything and everything could be used to her advantage. No matter how they played, Evelyn would always come out on top in the end whether by luck or logic.
