Jack Strider was born in Reno, Nevada, on January 13, 2000. His mother and father ecstatic to have a boy, swiftly go home to welcome him into their life. As he grew up, he would be fascinated by magicians and, eventually, gamblers who would do card tricks and show the "secrets" of the cards. Wanting to do the same, his father, after some back and forth, bought him his first deck of cards. He would play with them every day, learning how to shuffle, throw them to land in specific ways, and other tricks done by magicians. Around the age of 16 he would hold his first out of four games in California. He and his friends ended up holding the game in Sacramento, in the back alleys of Midtown, where he would deal out his first hand of Blackjack. While playing, and winning without a thought, the cops whirl around the corner, guns already drawn. Seeing this, he cleans up everything and sprints out, watching his buddy, slowly, getting caught. After the occurrence, his father would keep him around his house on the border of Reno, so his son wouldn't go to jail. For a few years, he would gamble in Reno, winning, and subsequently also losing, until one fateful day, he gambled against a big addict with a wild bet; a 1932 Ford Roadster. Too tempting to pass up, he took the deal, betting the house deed as an even trade. After what felt like an eternity of a hand, he won, but was accused of cheating. Seeing things going sideways, he snagged the keys and ran, being shot at on his way out. Getting out, surprisingly unscathed, he drove home with his prize.
