Circumstances describe your situation.
Examples include enemies, wealth, notoriety, social status, contacts, fame, and imprisonment.
Because each Playgroup has its own setting, Circumstances record the Playgroup they were acquired in.
Conditions describe your state of being.
Examples of Conditions include curses, diseases, and impactful personality quirks.
Conditions are granted by Assets and Liabilities or by GMs based on the events of Contracts and Downtime activities like Moves, and Loose Ends.
Because Conditions may have GM-created systems, they also record the Playgroup they were acquired in.
Loose Ends will cause problems for you if you don't tie them up.
Examples of Loose Ends include enemies, debts, evidence, and promises.
All Loose Ends have a Cutoff that counts down each time you attend a Contract. When it hits zero, the Threat of your Loose End manifests, causing issues for your Contractor.
You cannot see the current values of your Loose Ends' Cutoffs, but you can take initiative and make Moves on your Downtimes to deal with them before time runs out.

Samuel is a lawyer, confident in his craft and skill. The son of an immigrant, he saw first-hand the injustices the world had to offer. Bullied and harassed as a kid, he promised himself that he wouldn't let others go through what he had. Driven by his sense of justice and purpose, he devoted his life to law and criminology, becoming a lawyer who could stand up for those who couldn't stand for themselves. Now settled into the New York law scene, he has spent many years as an attorney for a minor law firm.
Social, kind, and charismatic, he loves to help others and is always willing to lend an ear. Known in his small community as an avid reader he spends his free days in a library outside the city, and hanging out with friends or family.
Of course, nothing good lasts for long, and before he realized it, he had performed his first killing. He killed a well-known politician whom his firm had been hired to represent. But upon learning of their corruption and bribery, Sam couldn't do it. Forced to choose between his job and his justice, he chose the latter, killing them in cold blood.
Shaken by his deeds, he created the persona of Aramus Wayne, a smooth criminal who did what Sam couldn't. Continuing his kills, Sam, as Aramus, became a known serial killer, killing those who had escaped the law or continued in their corruption.
He now lives a double life, on one side: a kind, caring, and living lawyer who wouldn't hurt a soul. On the other: A cold killer who seeks justice through blood.
