Before Braxton began his supervillain career, he was a hopeful young man who had plans to climb the corporate ladder, starting from the very bottom. He believed hard work and dedication were all that it took to progress in this world. What a fucking idiot, am I right? Starting off as a janitor at 22 years old for some Mega-Corporation, Braxton saw himself as being able to become store or regional manager by the time he hit 30. 27 years later, and the furthest he got was just a shitty cashier. Tired and broken, Braxton one day snapped, and torched the place. Except, the dumbass forgot to have an exit plan, and he got caught up in the flames. The intense heat evaporated any tears and sweat he could produce. His only thoughts were that he was going to die, burnt alive in some shitty store he hated. Only then did he realize that he felt just fine. The flames were clearly melting his skin and flesh, but he could still move fine and he felt no pain. He simply walked out of the store, his body a horribly scarred mess but otherwise just fine. From then on, he adopted the name Burnout, and committed various acts of arson around Detroit.
