Vilhelm was adopted at birth as his real father and mother decided that they would be unfit to be parents, nevertheless, his childhood was quite normal. Ever since he was 4 years old, his parents taught him well, making him learn a bit more about the world every day. This caused him to be familiar with many subjects at school at an early age but he never stood out too much as he didn't desire to be above everyone else.
He made some great friends along the way but nowadays, most of those have parted ways with him as they grew up. It wasn't until highschool that he truly met a lifelong friend. His name was Mark Hughes and the two of them spent a lot of time together during their teenage years. Mark always told Vilhelm about his grand ambition of becoming a lawyer one day and has been preparing for those days ever since. Mark's father was a retired police officer and told him about all of the evil things criminals do in the world and Mark wanted to help his father in some way.
Vilhelm always supported his friend in his goal but he had yet to find one for himself. Out of boredom one day, Vilhelm decided to read through an encyclopedia article regarding vampires, yo-kai and other notorious mythological monsters. He kept on reading many articles and became fascinated by all the mythological creatures he found out about.
Sadly for him, this new hobby wouldn't help him find a true purpose in life as these creatures are merely fiction, so he decided to become a newbie mechanic. This job was a bit hard for him at first but he got used to it pretty quickly and he had a lot of pride in his work because of that. This pride would shatter in a work-related accident wherein an unknown kind of smoke made him cough like he never had done before. Nobody was there to help him out at the time and his organs couldn't keep up. His lungs gave up and his vocal cords were damaged beyond repair. Once found he was rushed to the hospital and survived but was heartbroken once he was no longer able to hear his voice.
He was roaming around in his mind and he thought of the lifelong goal of his friend. This reminded him that life is the most valuable thing in the world and he started learning medicine just in case anyone needed assistance just like he did that dreadful day.
He thought to himself: "If I only had skills beyond those that humans can achieve, I would want to save everyone around the world."
