    Detective Marvin 'Mel' Melborn is a former police detective turned private investigator.

    He considers himself a specialist. He solves mysteries, finds secrets, and in his free time he misses doing one of the first 2 things. He has developed a sense of justice over years of working cases, but the drive was first and foremost because secrets are a challenge to his abilities which we cannot ignore.
