Arthur Annuler is a Otherworldly Outsider who will risk his life to understand what lies beyond.

He is 17 years old, and often appears as a somewhat lanky teen in a grey hoodie, white shirt and grey jeans, with black hair and green eyes. faint, black mists seem to seep through the gaps of his clothing.

Arthur Annuler lives in Project *******, a setting where reality flows, bends, and breaks, and the whole world stands at a delicate balance. His journal has 13 entries.

    Arthur Annuler is capable of projecting his voice through the Gap between Realities, letting him speak to people at great distances.

    Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. Select a target within 10 miles of you. You must have a specific target in mind, but you require only an intuitive understanding of them, such as their name, face, or Location.

    You may send a single message to your target. It can be no more complicated than a multi-page letter or a long email.

    The message will only be perceived by the intended recipient. You must share a common language for your target to understand the message.

    • Receiving a message does not force a target to pay attention to you, and they can feel free to ignore your message if they choose. Depending on the flavor of your Gift, they may or may not be able to return to it and read it later on.
    • Generally you cannot communicate with Contractors who are not in a Contract with you.
    • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

    Arthur Annuler is wreathed in a black mist, then disappears for a short amount of time into the gap between realities. The spot he disappeared from leaves an imprint of black mist behind. Arthur is fully capable of moving in the gap between realities.

    Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate.

    You phase out of reality for 3 Rounds. During this time, you cannot perceive or affect the outside world but may take mental and self-targeting Actions. Nothing can interact with you in any way.

    You leave An imprint of black mist in the shape of Arthur behind at your location in the real world when you use this effect.

    • You may use your Free Movement on the Round you phase back in, but you cannot take an Action.

    Arthur Annuler exits our reality as he is swallowed by a shroud of black mist and re-enters at another location with a cloud bursting out around him seemingly instantaneously, having passed through the Gap between Realities as a means of rapid transport.

    Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. Select a Location which is at most 50 feet away horizontally or 10 feet away vertically.

    You jump to the chosen location. If the landing is precarious, the GM may call for a roll to land safely. You will never take fall damage from successfully landing a jump made with this Effect.

    Instead of physically passing through the air, you are teleported directly to your destination. Does not allow you to go through walls.

    • If you are Encumbered, the maximum range is cut in half. If Encumbrance has reduced your total movement to 0, you cannot activate this Effect.
    • Rolls to land safely will generally be Athletics, but GMs may call for a different roll at their discretion if it makes sense for the specific circumstances.
    • You must be on a surface of some kind in order to activate this effect; it cannot be activated while in mid-air.
    • You may only use this Effect once per round of combat, regardless of any enhancements you have taken.
    • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

    Arthur Annuler allows tendrils to reach through the Gap between Realities, grasping his foes and restricting their movements.

    Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. Select a target within arm's reach. Roll Perception + Alertness at Difficulty 6. The target] may contest by Defending or Dodging.

    If you succeed, your target will be restricted at their location by a physical, tangible binding. They can still move their arms and use Effects, but cannot move to a new location.

    The binding around a target must be destroyed in order for them to break free. Breaking the binding requires a total amount of damage equal to twice the contested Outcome from the Effect activation. Damage from multiple attacks is cumulative and stacks linearly.

    • For entities whose movement could be considered an attack (e.g. a kaiju), the GM may rule that they are merely slowed instead of fully restricted.
    • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

    Arthur Annuler opens a small hole to the gap between realities and allows Eldritch Tentacles to reach out from the mists surrounding his body. The tentacles have a reach of 30 feet and blindly lash out at Arthurs foes.

    Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate.

    Summon a single Giant Tentacle at your location. They will last for an hour, or until they are destroyed. They are controlled by the GM but will follow any commands you give. You may have at most 1 minion active at a time.

    Minions have 4 Body and can make ranged attacks at targets up to 30 feet away with 5 dice to attack and +1 Damage. Your minions cannot move. They cannot dodge or Defend. They have dog-level intelligence, and cannot communicate back to you. Any Perception checks they make are rolled with 3 dice.

    Arthur Annuler traded his tongue for power, and that power took the form of a tentacle replacing his lost tongue. The Tonguetacle is capable of extending up to 30 feet and can carry objects.

    You gain the following benefits at all times.

    You gain an additional limb that functions as a standard human arm and hand.

    Each additional limb you posses can take one Quick Action per Round without incurring a -2 dice penalty to your main Action. Any Battle Scars that affect or remove your additional limb will heal in a single week.

    Your extra appendage can stretch to reach an additional 30 feet.

    Your Extra Appendage is incapable of fine object manipulation.

    Arthur Annuler dissolves into a cloud of black mist, the cosmic essence which is constantly leaking from his body. The cloud of mist remains conglomerated, like a single entity, and can squeeze through any gap in its formless state.

    Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate.

    You transform into A cloud of Black Mist for the next minute. You may end the effect early and return to your normal form at will. Your structure must remain relatively contiguous. Observers will view you as an unusual entity moving with a singular purpose.

    While in this form, you can squeeze through any gap that is not air-tight, though this may take more than one Action at GMs discretion.

    Damage from standard attacks is halved, but damage from AOE effects is increased by 1. You may suffer damage from wind and powerful gusts at GM’s discretion.

    You cannot communicate, use equipment, or use Gifts while transformed. Your equipment does not transform with you beyond basic body coverings. You cannot carry any items while transformed.

    The Gap Between Worlds spills out into reality through Arthur, and now it spills into his body, filling in his wounds and repairing them.

    You gain the following benefits at all times.

    Any Injury you receive heals quickly, reducing its Severity by one level every three days, starting once it becomes stabilized. Battle Scars caused by your Injuries will remain.
