Orlando Rivera
Bearer of the Shard

A 1-Victory Newbie Contractor played by Metal in Metal’s Oneshot Zone

Orlando Rivera is a welder who will risk his life to become the ultimate cursed swordsman and perfect his family’s craft in the name of justice.

He is 23 years old, lives in a recently reinherited family manor in rural New Hampshire, and often appears as a tall man with shades and touseled dark brown locks of hair, with a heavy tan. Though he’s obviously loaded, his hands are rougher and show the signs of having done manual labor.

Orlando Rivera lives in Metal’s Oneshot Zone, a setting where videos of the supernatural go viral every day.

Biography

The Rivera’s have a long and storied history. Originally from Spain, they moved to the US as a wealthy and reclusive family. Though typically lawyers and doctors and such, their family peculiarly engaged in many American fencing leagues, and were experts in the sport. Orlando knew something was off with his family. Knew that the armory they kept in the attic of the manor was..wrong. He never wanted to engage with his family’s traditions, and so he estranged himself from the family pretty young. Went into welding. But recently the house went through a terrible fire, and Orlando was given everything in the will. Filled with a terrible sense of guilt at the sudden shocking deaths of his family while he was away, Orlando plans to learn their secrets and truly inherit their legacy.
