Basil Butcherson is a former PETA employee who will risk his life to become the ultimate magical girl and to be everyone by consuming a part of them while preserving animal life.

He is 67 years old, lives in a dirt hut inside Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio, and often appears as a bald man with a long white beard covered in mud.

Basil Butcherson lives in The Torrent, a setting where there’s an ongoing torrent of the paranatural.

Movement

Movement is taken immediately before OR after your Action. It cannot be split.
You may Free Move (0) feet. Minimum 5 feet.
You may Dash up to an additional (0 feet).
- Dashing penalizes your Action -1 die per 5 feet.
All-out Sprint: instead of using free Movement or Dash, you may spend your Action and roll Brawn + Athletics ( dice) Difficulty 6. You move (0 + (Outcome x 5) Feet).

Actions

Attack with your weapon or hands.
Evade by rolling to Defend or Dodge. Your Outcome is "spent" to reduce the Outcome of any incoming attacks until your next Action.
Activate a Power or use an Ability as normal.
Hold your Action by declaring an Action and a triggering event. If the event occurs before your turn on the next Round, you perform the Action.

If you have not yet spent your Action this Round, you may use it as a Reaction.

Reactions

Dodge by rolling Dexterity + Athletics ( dice) Difficulty 6. Your Outcome is subtracted from the attacker's.
Defend with your weapon by rolling its attack roll. Your Outcome is subtracted from the attacker's. Availability depends on weapon match-up (tap/hover).
Clash with the attacker using the same roll you would use to Defend. The higher Outcome (not contested) is treated as the result of a successful, undefended attack roll against the loser.

Desperate Defense

If you have already used your Action, you may Exert your Mind to perform a Reaction. Your next Round's Action receives a -2 dice penalty. You cannot Clash as a Desperate Defense.

Will to Survive

Once per Contract, you may reduce the severity of an incoming Injury up to 4 Severity levels (to a minimum of Severity 4). You take a point of Mind damage and suffer a Major Battle Scar that lingers after the Injury is healed, even with proper Stabilization.

If an attack's Outcome is positive after defense, it results in a new Injury with Severity = Outcome + Weapon damage - Armor

Proper Stabilization

Requires an advanced first aid kit for Severity 4 Injuries, a field surgery kit for Severity 5 Injuries, and a surgery theater for Severity 6+ Injuries.

Roll Intellect + Medicine, Difficulty equal to Severity

An Outcome of 1 or greater will Stabilize the Injury and stop its degradation.
Outcome 4+ puts the Injury on track to heal clean: its Battle Scar heals with it.
On a Botch, the Injury's Severity increases by 1.
Failed or Botched attempts may be re-attempted at +1 Difficulty per failure.

Makeshift Stabilization

Attempt a major treatment using insufficient or improvised medical equipment.

Roll Intellect + Medicine, Difficulty > Severity

Outcome 1+ will Stabilize the Injury and stop its degradation.
However, any Outcome less than 4 increases the Injury’s Severity by 1. Botches also worsen its Battle Scar.
Regardless of Outcome, any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will persist after it is fully healed.
Failed or Botched attempts may be retried at +1 Difficulty per failure.

Self-stabilization attempts are rolled at +1 Difficulty.

There is a strong hatred of you in English speaking cultures, and anyone who watches the news or is tuned in to popular culture will reflect that attitude. You get -3 dice for any rolls in social situations, and must roleplay your notorious status when relevant.

Vengeful An insult to or an attack on your person simply cannot be tolerated. Each time someone wrongs you or disrespects you in a major way, you must succeed a Self-Control roll to resist taking revenge.

Lizard Brain You are so unintelligent, you're accustomed to acting on instinct alone. As long as your Intellect rating is 1, being reduced to 0 Mind does not incapacitate you. Instead, you are able to continue to take Actions, though you are limited to dog-like level of intelligence, and Penalty still applies in full.

Born Runner You are built specifically for running. +5 feet of free Movement, +2 dice to all-out sprint rolls.

Biography

Basil "Femur Fiend" Butcherson was dropped on his head when he was first born. Obliterating his frontal lobe, he developed physical attributes over the mental attributes, growing adult teeth at 9 months old. Having accidentally bit his mother, he developed a taste for blood. At 61 years old, after serving questionable food at a dinner party, his PETA co-workers were concerned about him serving "vegan" meat that looked too realistic. Thinking it was made from animals, Basil was terminated from the company shortly thereafter.

At 65 years old and still unemployed, Basil decided to go grave robbing for money. One day, he was found out by an employee who just so happened to leave a bit later than usual. Fearing prison, he murdered him. Despite being inside a cemetery, feeling desperate and cornered, Basil ate the employee rather than burying him. Later, he fell ill, hallucinating about his own life as a child. Thinking that those were the memories of the employee, he set out to obtain all the memories of every last human on Earth. He now not only grave robbed for money, but also the corpses' femurs for bone marrow.

A few months later, Basil was incarcerated after getting sloppy. He was sent to prison on the charges of 2nd-degree murder, grave robbing, desecration of a corpse and theft. He went into cardiac arrest after serving 2 years of his sentence, effectively ending his life sentence. Now 67 years old and attempting to get accustomed back to life, he finds himself with an urge to re-cannibalize as a magical girl named Crimson Devourer Lily.
