The staff of random will summon a random minion upon use. The minion is loyal and will fight until it dies. The minion could be any monster like a slime or a devil.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.

When turned and twisted the right way, this Aztec relic releases a swarm of flying, pyromaniac sparks, lighting a fire wherever they land.
If turned another way, the Firehive will turn nearby fires into the sparks, raising them up to burn something else within reach.
Spend an Action. Select a target within arm's reach which has both fuel and oxygen available (if you are starting a new fire).
You may start a new fire as large as a fire in a residential fireplace at your target. You may create fires the size of a lighter or candle flame without Exerting your Mind. Your fires require fuel and oxygen in order to continue burning.
Lighting a target on fire deals 3 Damage per Round, starting in the Round after the one in which they caught fire. This Damage is reduced by Armor, but the target’s Armor rating will be depleted by any Damage dealt, destroying the Armor once it reaches 0.
You may extinguish flames as a Reaction. This does not extend to explosives.
You may spend a Free Action on your initiative move a fire as large as a fire in a residential fireplace that is within arm's reach to another location within arm's reach. You may Exert your Mind to draw a line which a fire up to twice as large as a fire in a residential fireplace cannot cross.
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.
It's a regular backpack?
This Artifact can be used as a container. It is roughly the same size as a backpack and just as difficult to conceal.
Your backpack holds 5 times what it normally could. Objects stored inside are weightless.
Living things can be stored in your backpack. They will have access to anything else inside and may attempt to break free, damaging or destroying the backpack in the process.
If your backpack is destroyed, things inside may get out, and it will cease to function until it is repaired.
When scanned or investigated without opening, the contents of your container appear normal and unremarkable.
If anyone other than you opens the container, it appears empty. Others can still destroy it to get at the contents.
Chuckling, I feel for the right temple of my glasses. "Really, Jared, I'm surprised you're not a fan!" I say, casually walking behind him. He barely turns to continue our discussion of Weezer, and in an instant Denouncement is through his heart. "You've been poked by me, fool." I whisper gruffly before he fades. I flick the blood off the rapier and return it to my face before sitting down with a cigarette.

Select one of the following alterations to create out of Man-Made Construction Materials originating at the target:
The alteration begins to form when you activate this Effect and finishes forming on your initiative in the next Round. Until it finishes forming, it is not guaranteed to function.
This alteration lasts one minute but may be prematurely destroyed or altered. Your alterations may be broken through with appropriate tools. Anyone attempting to break through must roll Brawn + a relevant Ability. A cumulative Outcome of 12 across all attempts breaks a hole large enough to move through. See the extended system text for GM guidance on various tools.
A gutted deep sea diving suit, mossy and greened metal repaired and repainted, fitted with breathing apparatus, a backup oxygen tank, atmospheric filters and hydraulics for reliable movement. High tech, but 'retro' in its use of old aesthetics.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact.
You have 4 Armor, which reduces incoming Damage. Armor from multiple sources does not stack. Called Shots may circumvent your Armor, depending on its coverage.
You may spend an Action or Reaction and Exert your Mind to double your Armor rating for one Round.
When you take Damage from a source which is within 5 feet, deal back as much Damage as your Armor prevented.
You may activate or deactivate your armor as a Free Action on your Initiative. As long as your armor is active, your movement speed is halved and you suffer -2 dice to all Dexterity and Perception rolls. While deactivated, it offers no Armor.

The new object's appearance can mimic specific items (such as a particular painting, a certain person’s ID, etc), but must be of a similar size and weight to this Artifact.
The new appearance is illusory; it will hold up to scrutiny, but its composition is not altered and it gains no new functionality. Any attempt to use it for a function which it cannot perform (for instance, making bread look like a knife and then trying to stab someone) will cause the illusion to fail or allow a Perception check to see through the illusion, at the GM's discretion.
