An arm made of bone and rotting flesh, the arm connects to the skeletal structure of the one using it, and bursts out of them when the artifact is first activated, the arm burrows it's way through the flesh so that it can connect with the user's spinal column, and subsequently be attached to the already existing skeletal structure.


You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact.

You gain an additional limb that functions as a standard human arm and hand.

Each additional limb you posses can take one Quick Action per Round without incurring a -2 dice penalty to your main Action. Each additional appendage you have gives you +1 dice to make and resist Grapples (up to a maximum bonus of +4 dice).

Any Battle Scars that affect or remove your additional limb will heal in a single week.

Currently includes a wrist mounted grappling hook and a set of gloves & boots.

Years of dodging trouble and getting out of sketchy situations left their mark - making Evans more cold, calculating, but most of all slippery.
As of his last job however Clay is now able to weave trouble by quite literally jumping away thanks to his his new best friend - a wrist mounted grappling hook that has been expertly tuned to account for Clay's lightweight frame and equipment load, making him as slippery as a snake and fluid as a professional dancer, ideally at least.


Exert your Mind and spend an Action or Reaction to activate. Select a Location which is at most 50 feet away horizontally or 10 feet away vertically.

You jump to the chosen location. If the landing is precarious, the GM may call for a roll to land safely. You will never take fall damage from successfully landing a jump made with this Effect.

If your target location is no more than 50 feet away, you may spend your Free Movement instead of an Action to activate this Effect.

  • If you are Encumbered, the maximum range is cut in half. If Encumbrance has reduced your total movement to 0, you cannot activate this Effect.
  • Rolls to land safely will generally be Athletics, but GMs may call for a different roll at their discretion if it makes sense for the specific circumstances.
  • You must be on a surface of some kind in order to activate this effect; it cannot be activated while in mid-air.
  • You may only use this Effect once per round of combat, regardless of any enhancements you have taken.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

Specialized gloves and boots with metal hooks that allow for climbing and easier movement through dense underbrush.


You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact.

You may move easily and without a roll in any of the following situations.

  • Path Finder: You are adept at making your way through crowds, underbrush, and other dense, congested environments. While doing so, you move at full speed.
  • Spider Climber: You are able to climb on and cling to any surface without regard for the ordinary rules of gravity. You climb at your normal movespeed.

'The Axe'

Upon fishing off of his boat one day after finishing a contract, Sam Bellamy noticed he caught something unusual. It was light and felt like a pen, upon asking his friend and roommate Jerry, he confirmed his suspicion. Sam got a piece of paper and attempted to write with it, but upon clicking the pen it transformed into a sword. Sam realized that this pen was more than it seems. Whether fate or luck, Sam could not tell, but now that he has this magical pen, he intends to use it.


This Artifact can be used as a sword / axe. It is roughly the same size as a sword / axe but can be collapsed into Pen and concealed. Collapsing or expanding it costs a Quick Action.

Attack by rolling Brawn + Melee, Difficulty 6. Successful attacks deal Contested Outcome +4 Weapon Damage.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Bastard: You may spend a Free Action to change this melee weapon’s base stats into those of any other basic melee weapon. Changing this weapon's base type affects its size, range, Weapon Damage, and roll.

  • If there is not enough free space to expand the object, it cannot be expanded. You cannot expand this Object as an attack.
  • Reminder: additional Weapon Damage granted by this Effect does not stack with any other bonus to Weapon Damage. Instead the largest bonus is used.

Swordbreaker Piercing

The piercing glows with a weak green shimmer, the eye which the piercing adorns glows green as well. Moments later, a noticeable tremor goes from the user through the ground and walls into the weapon the user looks at as it breaks or disintegrates in a green wave of light.

This piercing was made from blessed metal, dedicated to a goddess of both peace and destruction whose name has been lost in the eons.

This artifact was loaned to one Jacob Sterns by the British Museum.


Exert your Mind and spend an Action or Reaction. Select a Weapon within 20 feet no larger than a duffel bag (35 liters). Roll Perception + Occult Difficulty 6.

If your Outcome is 4 or higher, the target will be fully and completely destroyed, leaving behind no meaningful remains. If your Outcome is less than 4, the target will be partially damaged, and any attempts to use it will suffer a dice penalty equal to your Outcome.

  • Destroyed targets cannot be repaired, as they do not leave any remains behind.
  • If you use this Effect as a Reaction to dodge, you still need to make a roll to dodge. The Effect will occur regardless of the Outcome of this roll, but if you fail you will be hit by the relevant attack prior to the Effect occurring.
  • The penalty from an object being damaged will stack with itself if a target is hit multiple times, but the object is destroyed when it reaches a total penalty of -4.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

The piercing glows with green light for a moment and the user's eyecolor on that side changes to green for the duration of the effect.

To effectively remove weapons you need to know where they are. The user of this artifact will be able to see through solid matter to find weapons.


Exert your Mind and spend an Action.

You may perceive things within 75 feet of you with perfect clarity as though there were no walls or obstacles blocking your view for the next 30 minutes.

Others near you may choose to observe what you are perceiving by engaging in physical contact.

You may perceive through up to 15 feet of material. The Difficulty of all Perception rolls made through a wall are increased by 1 per wall.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

The piercing flashes and a green shockwave expands from the eye of the user, pushing all targets to the edge of the area. If a target tries to approach, repeated waves will hold them back.

To be able to enforce peace you must be able to not currently be under attack.


Spend an Action or Reaction.

Create a repulsion field which extends out 45 feet from you in every direction, and lasts for the next 5 Rounds. Any Animate targets within the field cannot move any closer towards you. If they were within 45 feet from you when you activated the effect, they are immediately pushed back to the edge of the repulsion field.

You must maintain Concentration during this Effect.

When you activate this effect, you may designate any number of specific individuals to exclude from the Effect. Anyone designated in this way is unaffected by the repulsion field, and can approach you as normal.

You must remain standing in the same location while this Effect is active. Moving to a new location will interrupt your Concentration and end the Effect.

This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.

  • If you use this Effect as a Reaction to dodge, you still need to make a roll to dodge. The Effect will occur regardless of the Outcome of this roll, but if you fail you will be hit by the relevant attack prior to the Effect occurring.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

The usual white tone of the eye with the Piercing takes on a significant green color, like bleeding out of the artifact, whenever it's used to see through darkness or the wearer concentrates on seeing far away things.

The final part of the ultimate defense against attackers is the ability to see in the dark, a necessary ability to remove weapons beyond walls in hidden armories.


You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact.

Your senses are enhanced in the following way.

  • Sight: You can see perfectly in dark and even pitch-black environments. You suffer no dice penalty due to darkness.
  • Sight: You can see things that are up to a mile away as though you were only standing twenty feet away, provided your view is unobstructed.

Any senses which have been heightened cannot be overloaded. Battle Scars you receive cannot affect these senses.

  • Examples of overloading a sense include: an explosion causing temporary deafness, a bright light causing blindness, a sedative causing numbness, etc.

"The Firm's" Authority

A regal piece of parchment with eloquent script scrolled across it. nonsensical legal jargen is scrolled all across this parchment and if read by a legal expert clearly shows a lack of care for legal norms.

The User unfurls a Search warrant from the device and clearly states that they have the authority to be where they want to be due to the powers invested to them by the company they work for. all locks with in range obey the the commands of the user because "The Firms" word is the law.


Spend an Action.

You may lock, unlock, and/or open any number of doors, locks, or locked targets within 300 feet of you. Cannot be used on Alien technology.

  • Any door or restraint that is fastened or shut with a mechanism may be considered locked, at the GM's discretion. Can be used on control panels or other electronic locks, but not computer security systems.
  • If you operate a locking mechanism through this Effect which has some other secondary effect (such as the ignition on a car causing the car to start) you may cause that effect as well.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

Shard of Reality

A colossal sword with a pitch-dark blade filled with stars and galaxies, a beautiful sight to behold.

Initially, the Shard appears as little more than a rather ornate silver ring, bearing a large piece of obsidian speckled with what look like stars and stardust. When transformed, however, the Shard becomes an enormous scythe, forged not from steel or metal, but from a shard of a miniature reality, pitch-black and swirling with stardust and galaxies.


This Artifact can be used as a great sword / giant axe. It is roughly the same size as a great sword / giant axe but can be collapsed into an ornate ring and concealed. Collapsing or expanding it costs a Quick Action.

Attack by rolling Brawn + Melee, Difficulty 6. Successful attacks deal Contested Outcome +7 Weapon Damage.

  • If there is not enough free space to expand the object, it cannot be expanded. You cannot expand this Object as an attack.
  • Reminder: additional Weapon Damage granted by this Effect does not stack with any other bonus to Weapon Damage. Instead the largest bonus is used.

Stock Artifact Crafting Gifts

You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact.

You get +2 dice to any Body resistance rolls you make. You also gain the following effects:

  • Survivor: You are immune to all non-Alien diseases.
  • All Brawn No Brain: You suffer a -2 dice penalty on Mind resistance rolls.

  • These bonuses apply only to Body rolls made to resist Effects and other supernatural phenomena. They do not apply to other contexts such as attacks made while under the Creature Transformation Effect.

You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact.

You get +0 dice to any Mind resistance rolls you make. You also gain the following effects:

  • Naturally Resistant: Any time you make a Mind resistance roll, the individual who you are resisting must Exert their Mind, or your resistance succeeds automatically.
  • Clash Of Wills: If you fail to fully resist an Effect, your Outcome is considered to be 0.

  • These bonuses apply only to Mind rolls made to resist Effects and other supernatural phenomena. They do not apply to Trauma rolls or self-control rolls.
