The user crosses the lance over their chest as a sigil of a shield hovers infront of them. The lance seems to almost radiate heat as it does this.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Animate target within 50 feet who can perceive you through. Roll Charisma + Influence at Difficulty 6. The target may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7.
If you succeed, the target will keep their full attention focused on you for Contested Outcome in minutes. They will automatically fail any rolls related to noticing anything other than you.
If you pass from their perception and they are unable to pursue you, the Effect ends. If they can follow you, they must do so for 2 Rounds or the Effect will end. The Effect will continue even if violence occurs nearby or if your target is Injured. It does end if the target takes Damage from a source other than you.
This does not affect the target’s opinion of you or their mood, and they may take any Actions while affected (including attacking), as long as that action centers on you. Fascinated targets cannot Concentrate.
Touch the loaded manipulator's barrel to the target object, then locate the object in the code of reality and attempt removal. If successful, the object disintegrates into binary code and disappears.
Locate a particular object in the code of reality and attempt to erase it with a targeted application of entropy.
Expend a point of Battery and spend two Actions performing the following ritual: typing on a holographic display. Select a Non-Sapient Object or piece of an Object or structure within arm's reach no larger than a large luggage bag (75 liters). You must use up rechargeable lithium battery in order to activate this Effect. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted. You cannot target objects which are currently in someone else’s possession. Roll Intellect + Technology Difficulty 6.
If your Outcome is 4 or higher, the target will be fully and completely destroyed, leaving behind no meaningful remains. If your Outcome is less than 4, the target will be partially damaged, and any attempts to use it will suffer a dice penalty equal to your Outcome.
When activating this Effect, you may spend an extra minute and maintain Concentration. If you do, it has no Exertion cost, and you may destroy an object which has up to 3x larger dimensions, or up to 27x larger volume than the normal maximum size.
The unit's most basic function. Load a battery, take aim and pull the trigger to unleash a torrent of random reality-altering data.
Rewriting the metaphysical code of reality is really hard. Having a device to help you makes it a little easier. Not caring what you write to it makes it a lot easier. A stream of pure entropy is sure to do some damage. Or a ray gun, if you insist on simplification.
Expend a point of Battery and spend an Action. Select a target within 50 feet. You must use up rechargeable lithium battery in order to activate this Effect. Roll Intellect + Technology Difficulty 6. The target may contest by rolling Body, Difficulty 6.
If the Contested Outcome is positive, the target takes that much Damage plus 4.
You may use this Effect to Defend against any melee, projectile, or firearm Attacks within range or Clash against any Attack targeted at you. Using it to Defend deals no Damage but does not cost Exertion.
You may choose to have this Effect Damage all targets in a perfectly straight line up to its maximum range.
Press a couple of buttons and activate the loaded manipulator. A bubble-shaped shield appears with glowing circuit traces on its surface.
A firewall's purpose is to allow desired packets through a network interface while blocking all others. Extend the concept to the physical world, and we get a force field.
Expend a point of Battery and spend an Action or Reaction. You must use up rechargeable lithium battery in order to activate this Effect. Roll Intellect + Technology at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you create a Barrier extending out 15 feet from yourself, which absorbs 2 times the next (Outcome +2) Damage. Only applies to attacks which originated outside the 15 foot radius, and protects anyone who is within that radius. You may choose to create a bubble barrier. If you do, no physical objects or entities can pass into your bubble until the barrier is broken, but you and the barrier cannot move. Any Damage absorbed by the barrier is reflected back to the attacker, up to a maximum of 2. Their Armor applies in full. The Damage reduction from the barrier is applied before Armor. This Artifact may only have 1 active barrier at a time.
You must maintain Concentration while using this Effect. The barrier will fall if you are interrupted, or if it absorbs the full amount of Damage. When a barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds.
Loaded with a full battery, the manipulator is held up in the air and activated. A light haze of static fills the air in the zone as accelerated entropy eats away at everything.
A directed beam of energy can cause a lot of damage in a short amount of time. A bigger field of entropy can cause just as much damage, you just have to give it some more time.
Expend a point of Battery and spend an Action. Select a Location within 60 feet of you. Choose a 3-D shape that will define the borders of your Effect. You must use up rechargable lithium battery in order to activate this Effect. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. If you fail or Botch, you receive one Mind Damage and a new Trauma.
You create a zone of entropy in the chosen shape, originating at the chosen Location, with a radius of 60 feet. and lasting for 5 minutes. The area inside your zone is affected in any number of the following ways:
You may end this Effect prematurely as a Free Action.
The user places the data manipulator down facing the target and opens a holographic console. For the duration of the revision, a faint blue beam shoots out from the manipulator to the target.
If reality is a computer, than the people are the executables. They can be rewritten, improved, and recompiled. The risks of a mistake are huge, but think of the potential...
Exert your Mind and spend 30 minutes. Select a Living or Animate target within arm's reach. Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you injure a living target, destroy a mechanical target. The target can easily Resist.
You may add one augmentation to your target. Each augmentation counts as a Battle Scar and can have exactly one of the following Effects:
The augmentations you provide are not outwardly visible nor obvious.
The manipulator recognizes its authorized user and can be summoned to their hand (or hand equivalent)
This Artifact cannot be broken. If this Artifact is lost and in no one else’s possession, it finds its way back to its true owner during the next Downtime.
By default, the creator of this Artifact is its true owner. The true owner may formally bequeath this Artifact onto another person within arm’s reach, after which they are its true owner. If the true owner dies or is destroyed, their ownership ends. If this Artifact has no true owner, anyone may spend one day attuning to it to become its true owner.
If this Artifact is in no one else’s possession, its true owner may Exert their Mind and spend two Actions to bring it to themselves.
The data manipulator is touched to the object, and the tip glows as the user searches a database for the object in question.
Find the right row in reality's database, and all of its knowledge can be yours.
Spend a minute. Select a target Object within arm's reach. You must use up rechargeable lithium battery in order to activate this Effect. At the end of your investigation, roll Intellect + Investigation at Difficulty 6.
You learn all the following information about your target:
This Gift cannot have more than 3 Drawbacks, and its Gift Cost is capped at 1.
You cannot investigate the same target more than once per day.
When activated, the bloodstone pendant radiates a warm crimson light, pulsing rhythmically. Its glow envelops the user, mending wounds and regenerating their tissue.
During a stakeout in Transylvania, Soren confronted a vampire coven led by a local count who wore a powerful bloodstone pendant. After a fierce battle, Soren disarmed Viktor, claiming the pendant. He discovered its healing properties, but learned it was weak to silver.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact.
Any Injury you receive heals quickly, reducing its Severity by one level every 6 hours. Any Injuries you receive while this Effect is active do not deteriorate over time. However, any Battle Scars caused by such an Injury will remain unless it is Properly Stabilized as normal.
You may Exert your Mind and spend an Action to reduce the Severity of one of your Injuries by 2. Does not affect Injuries suffered as an activation cost for Effects.
All Injuries you receive are considered Properly Stabilized. You may also choose to heal any Battle Scar on yourself that may not have been caused by an Injury. Doing so takes one day, and the Battle Scar affects you fully until that time.
Ghostly copies of Mistletoe's spear form appear fly forward to to impale his enemies.
Mistletoe's alternate form is a small metal pin in the shape of a branch of mistletoe.
This Artifact can be used as a javelin. It is roughly the same size as a javelin but can be collapsed into Metal Pin and concealed. Collapsing or expanding it costs a Quick Action.

You have access to all of your Powers while you are Zazz but he is now in a pretty magical girl outfit (glitter everywhere), and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. Reverting from your Alternate Form cannot cause your existing Injuries to kill you. Instead, you remain Incapacitated.
While transformed, your Brawn is increased by 1. You do not suffer any Stress while transformed.
Your alternate form is its own deadly weapon. Unarmed attacks made in your alternate form deal +3 Weapon Damage (instead of the typical -1).
While transformed, instead of your normal clothes and equipment, you are equipped with: magical girl outfit/ his weapon is now a magical great axe +3 (lots of sparkles)
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see Zazz is in panties and a mini skirt.
Whenever you enter Combat, roll Self-Control. If you fail, you cannot choose which targets to attack and cannot stop fighting until there are no targets remaining.
When activating this effect, a little finagling is required to get the prototype to actually work - but once it's active, the artifact uses prediction technology to put itself in the way of danger, and actively protects the wearer: Either moving them out of the way or blocking hits for them with the light shimmer that outlines the exo-skeleton under their clothes.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Roll Intellect + Crafts at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you create a barrier around yourself, which absorbs the next Outcome +4 Damage. The Damage reduction from the barrier is applied before Armor. This Artifact may only have 1 active barrier at a time.
The barrier will fall after two hours, or if it absorbs the full amount of Damage. When a barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds.
A holographic projection helps deal with any cameras that might be looking at the subject, while a "simple" perception filter helps fill in the finer details for anybody who is looking at them.
Inspired during her work reverse-engineering a T.O.P. Suit, Ware has realized the ability to hide what she's wearing while she's wearing it is even better than the ability to quickly make it disappear.
This Artifact can change its appearance. When not transformed, it is roughly the same size as a Exo-Skeleton and just as difficult to conceal.
Spend a Quick Action to activate. This Artifact changes its appearance into an Object within the category of Apparel. This lasts until you decide to end the Effect, which may be done as a Free Action.
The new object's appearance can mimic specific items (such as a particular painting, a certain person’s ID, etc), but must be of a similar size and weight to this Artifact.
The new appearance is illusory; it will hold up to scrutiny, but its composition is not altered and it gains no new functionality. Any attempt to use it for a function which it cannot perform (for instance, making bread look like a knife and then trying to stab someone) will cause the illusion to fail or allow a Perception check to see through the illusion, at the GM's discretion.
When used as identification and scanned, the scanner will act appropriately and bring up appropriate generic information. Further searches for the identity in the computer will turn up no results. This will not open security doors on its own.
A mix of GPS and Leyline detection technology allows the artifact to find its owner wherever they are, via Ware's EDT technology. The user focuses their attention into the device implanted in them, and the item - wherever it is - gets disassembled by an almost imperceptible beam. It makes a stop in Ware's EDT room before another almost imperceptible beam makes the item materialize bottom up on the user.
The Scepter of Ang-Kapal is a gruesome device fashioned to look like a skeletal arm clutching a glass eye. When used, blood from the person holding is drawn into the eye where it swirls with dark energy. The eye turns to a nearby corpse and shudders, reviving the creature. The creature does not retain any of its memories or personality, but it is absolutely loyal to whoever is holding the scepter.
The Scepter of Ang Kepal has the unfortunate side effect of driving its owner mad.
Increase your sacrificial Injury's Severity by 1 and spend one minute. Select a Dead target within arm's reach with at least half its skeletal structure remaining. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. If you fail or Botch, you receive one Mind Damage and a new Trauma.
Your target rises as an Animate being. The raised creature is totally mindless, with no memory of its past life or hint of its old personality. They cannot communicate. They will follow any command you speak.
The creature lasts for eight hours or until it dies again. It is revived at full health. Any Injuries it had in life are not accounted for when determining its penalties or progression towards re-death, though they may affect its ability to perform certain actions at GM's discretion.
Raised creatures have their Abilities set to the same that they were in life. Their Charisma and Intellect are set to 1, but their Dexterity, Brawn and Perception are the same as they had in life. A raised creature cannot use any Effects.
Destroying one of your zombies requires a called shot to the head or heart. All other Injuries zombies suffer result in Battle Scars only, limiting their mobility and effectiveness in other ways.
Your revived targets deal 2 Weapon Damage with their unarmed attacks.
If you do not have a sacrificial Injury when you activate this Effect, take a new Severity-1 Injury.
The Predatory Raiment has a cloak feature that allows its owner to hide themselves and their equipment with active camouflage. When viewed, they look like a slightly shifted and shimmering version of the surrounding environment.

If someone discovers you, this Effect will not help you hide from them for the next minute. This Effect does not end early when you activate an obvious Effect, attack, or receive an Injury.
The airship of solitude is the mad scientist's lair and preferred mode of travel. Not only does it include a full science laboratory, it can be collapsed into an incredibly small canvas cube and easily transported. The mad scientist may pilot the ship alone or rely on its autopilot features for ultimate convenience.
This Artifact can be used as a blimp. It is roughly the same size as a blimp but can be collapsed into a phone-sized canvas cube and concealed. Collapsing or expanding it costs a Quick Action.
This blimp has full science laboratory, bullet-proof envelope, and ample parachutes. Any roll to pilot this vehicle receives +2 dice.
You also gain the following effects:
The lightning bracers can be activated to summon a thunderbolt into the wearer's hand. Throwing these thunderbolts makes an incredibly loud boom. Once a thunderbolt is in hand, the wearer can throw as many as they wish. The electricity from these bolts will jump between nearby targets.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. This Artifact changes its appearance into an Object within the category of forms of identification.
