Legendary Artifact

Kyubey’s collar

Created and held by Kyubey.
A collar visible in both human and incubator forms, the tag is some kind of egg shaped item, the information denoting them as being called Kyubey, but little else

Kyubey chooses a location, and simply… appears there, having moved in such a way that no one noticed them, though those who focus on Kyubey can still track them as they move.

You gain the following benefits as long as in Incubator form and you are wearing this Artifact.

Whenever you use your Movement, after all other calculations, the distance you may travel is tripled.

  • Any Encumbrance penalty to your movement still applies, but you do not suffer from any sort of exhaustion.
  • Damage from a collision depends on your speed at the time, as well as what you hit. GM's discretion, but generally moving faster than a car on the freeway and hitting a dense, solid object like a wall or a tree should be lethal. Mundane armor will not apply, but any supernatural forms of protection will.

Community Artifacts

Portable Temporal Anomaly

Created and held by Litia.
a small cube (5*5*5 mm) that refracts light in an odd way

The user looks into the cube and decides on a document they might need. The cube sifts through all possible versions of them, who all made different decisions in life to find the needed documents to reproduce into the current timeline.
After the user decides they have done their job, the documents turn back into the cube.

This Artifact can change its appearance. When not transformed, it is roughly the same size as a Document but can be collapsed into a Prismatic Cube and concealed. Collapsing or expanding it costs a Quick Action.

Spend a Quick Action to activate. This Artifact changes its appearance into a chosen Object. This lasts until you decide to end the Effect, which may be done as a Free Action.

The new object's appearance can mimic specific items (such as a particular painting, a certain person’s ID, etc), but must be of a similar size and weight to this Artifact.

The new appearance is illusory; it will hold up to scrutiny, but its composition is not altered and it gains no new functionality. Any attempt to use it for a function which it cannot perform (for instance, making bread look like a knife and then trying to stab someone) will cause the illusion to fail or allow a Perception check to see through the illusion, at the GM's discretion.

When used as identification and scanned, the scanner will act appropriately and bring up appropriate generic information. Further searches for the identity in the computer will turn up no results. This will not open security doors on its own.

  • If there is not enough free space to expand the object, it cannot be expanded. You cannot expand this Object as an attack.
  • Changing the Artifact’s appearance does not allow you to conceal its Alien nature while any of its other Effects are in use.

Bloomguard Sigil

Created and held by Athena Blossom.
A delicate silver brooch shaped like an open blossom, each petal traced with intricate patterns of vines and shields. At its heart sits a polished, iridescent stone that catches the light like a drop of morning dew. Though small enough to pin discreetly to a uniform or jacket, the artifact radiates a quiet, undeniable strength. When activated, faint outlines of ancient runes glow along its petals, pulsing like a heartbeat as the protective barrier forms.

When activated, the Bloomguard Sigil shimmers visibly, its petals unfolding with a soft metallic hum. Pale, translucent vines of golden energy sprout from the artifact, wrapping around the chosen target in a protective spiral. The barrier appears as a faint, ethereal dome, barely visible unless it catches the light — like a soap bubble made of starlight. To any bystander, it is immediately clear that something supernatural is at play, and that the source of the protection is the brooch itself, now brightly glowing.

Forged from ancient rites long buried beneath the ruins of forgotten temples, the Bloomguard Sigil is a relic of divine craftsmanship, a marriage of mortal ingenuity and celestial will. It channels the unyielding defense of the legendary Aegis, but tempers it with the gentleness of new life — a balance between war and wisdom. Only those who understand the sacred bond between protection and sacrifice can awaken its true potential. When called upon, it weaves a barrier not from steel or stone, but from pure intent: a living testament to the wearer's will to defend what matters most.

Spend an Action or Reaction. Select a Animate target within 20 feet. Roll Intellect + Occult at Difficulty 6.

If you succeed, you create a barrier around your target, which absorbs the next Outcome +2 Damage. The Damage reduction from the barrier is applied before Armor. This Artifact may only have 1 active barrier at a time.

You must maintain Concentration while using this Effect. The barrier will fall if you are interrupted, or if it absorbs the full amount of Damage. When a barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds.

This Gift cannot have more than 3 Drawbacks, and its Gift Cost is capped at 1.

  • Effects which circumvent Armor completely also circumvent your barrier.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

Velvet Regalia

Created and held by Iphus 'Arkmayj' Mekand.
A lengthy silk scarf, colored bright red velvet. The fringe on the end has small bells attached, the ringing gives you an odd sense of soothing.

The fabric of the scarf seems to ring out in harmony with the bells, singing a wonderful song, lulling you into a sleeplike state of unbothered efficiency.

Exert your Mind (unless you win a coin flip) and spend an Action.

Your Stress from Injuries and Mind Damage is reduced to 0. Lasts three hours.

If you are Stunned, asleep, drugged, or otherwise made unconscious for any reason other than being Incapacitated, you may Exert your Mind to wake up. Any penalty which was caused by this condition is removed.

The Bedside Manner

Created and held by Abigail Castodon.
An ordinary looking stainless steel Stethoscope with blue rubber casings for the ear inserts.

Donning the Stethoscope a soft light emanates around it. Placing the bell against the patient emits a transfer of light and knowledge that streams into patient and quickly attempts to remedy any issues that affect the body.

When channeled through a life saving artifact such as "The Bedside Manner", "Wisdom's Embrace" can make quick work of even the most grievous injuries and other maladies. Utilizing the knowledge to undertake treatment and surgery as pure energy, the wearer can convert this knowledge directly into result at a rapid pace by applying it on a sub-atomic level to either revert form or to mend anew. "I Can Save Them allows the user to draw any and all medical knowledge they have have witnessed, even at a cursory glace from the recesses of their memory. Causing that knowledge to be available for use by "Wisdom's Embrace" rather than the user having to recall such details manually. In the right hands, such a potent combination can mean the difference between life and death many times over.

You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact.

You also gain the following effects:

  • In-Network Coverage: Any rolls to provide medical treatment to non-humans, including Effect activations, receive +2 dice.

  • Surgeon Extraordinaire: You may perform any mundane surgery in at most 5 minutes without inflicting or worsening an Injury, and recovery time is reduced to an hour.

  • All stabilizations being proper stabilizations applies to stabilizations from other Effects such as Heal Wound.

Created and held by Luke Griffin.
A small lantern on a keychain, small gray embers lay inside

The artifact contains an ethereal flame, which lies dormant until activated. Once activated the user can see their surroundings illuminated by a faith ethereal light that pierces obstacles. Others see the dormant gray flame awaken and flicker in its housing.

You may perceive through up to 15 feet of material. The Difficulty of all Perception rolls made through a wall are increased by 1 per wall.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

Stock Legendary Artifacts

Lightning Bracers

A pair of bronze bracelets that glow with golden energy.

This Artifact produces ephemeral projectiles that can be used as a javelin.

Attack by rolling Brawn + Athletics, Difficulty 6. Successful attacks deal Contested Outcome +3 Weapon Damage.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Chain Lightning: You may Exert your Mind to perform a chain lightning attack. If your attack succeeds, All targets within 5 feet of your primary target take full Damage. The Damage can “jump” up to 5 times. Each target can be hit only once.
  • Magic Quiver: Instead of throwing this Artifact, it is an object that produces an endless supply of temporary throwable objects. For example, bracers that allow you to throw ethereal javelins, or a sack of throwing rocks that doesn’t shrink when you withdraw one.

  • If there is not enough free space to expand the object, it cannot be expanded. You cannot expand this Object as an attack.
  • Created projectiles last only until they strike their target and cannot be shared or stockpiled.
  • Reminder: additional Weapon Damage granted by this Effect does not stack with any other bonus to Weapon Damage. Instead the largest bonus is used.

Winter Fang

A massive bow made of solid ice.

This Artifact can be used as a bow. It is roughly at least twice as large as a bow and cannot be concealed on your person or disassembled for storage.

Attack by rolling Dexterity + Athletics, Difficulty 6. Successful attacks deal Contested Outcome +3 Weapon Damage. Attacks do not require a successful called shot to do damage.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Infinite Ammo: This weapon never runs out of its standard ammunition.
  • Leave No Trace: Your projectiles crumble or vanish after impact, leaving no meaningful trace of your assault beyond the wounds they leave. If your attack would kill or incapacitate your target, they make no sound, even incidentally, for the next Round.

  • This Artifact cannot be disguised or morphed with other Effects like Shape-Changing object.
  • Reminder: additional Weapon Damage granted by this Effect does not stack with any other bonus to Weapon Damage. Instead the largest bonus is used.

You gain the following benefits as long as you are not at all wet and you are wearing this Artifact.

You and everything you are carrying is obscured in one of the following manners. You may Spend an Action to change the way in which you're concealed.

  • Hearing: You are completely obscured from hearing. You produce no sounds while this Effect is active. All attempts to detect you via hearing fail. Attempts via other senses where hearing would assist are rolled at -2 dice.
  • Sight:You are partially obscured from being noticed by sight. All attempts to detect you using sight are rolled at a -3 dice penalty, and all attempts to detect you where sight would assist are rolled at -1 penalty. Anyone who detects you cannot determine any visual details about you beyond your general shape.

While this Effect is active, any Effect that would obscure you or your equipment specifically from other, additional senses fails automatically.

If someone discovers you, this Effect will not help you hide from them for the next minute. This Effect does not end early when you activate an obvious Effect, attack, or receive an Injury.

  • GMs should use their discretion when determining the exact impacts of this Effect, particularly in conjunction with environmental factors. Standing still against a complex background may render you impossible to detect, and footprints in snow may make it easy. A chance to detect you is not guaranteed.

The Airship of Solitude

The airship of solitude is an imposing black blimp. While flying through the air, it is regularly struck by lightning, terrifying those below.

This Artifact can be used as a blimp. It is roughly the same size as a blimp but can be collapsed into a phone-sized canvas cube and concealed. Collapsing or expanding it costs a Quick Action.

This blimp has full science laboratory, bullet-proof envelope, and ample parachutes. Any roll to pilot this vehicle receives +2 dice.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Crew of One: You alone may stand in for an entire crew if the vehicle would normally be piloted by more than one.
  • Mind of its Own: This vehicle can move and take Actions without you driving it. It has seven dice for all Drive rolls.
  • No Muffler: Any stealth rolls made to hide your vehicle automatically fail, and any rolls made to notice your vehicle automatically succeed.

  • If there is not enough free space to expand the object, it cannot be expanded. You cannot expand this Object as an attack.

The Skeleton Key

At first glance, this appears to be a standard, modern house key made of ivory. A close observer might compliment its skull-shaped head or usual material. No one would suspect it to be one of the Thief's most prized possessions: The Skeleton Key.

Spend an Action.

You may lock, unlock, and/or open any number of doors, containers, knots, or locks within arm's reach of you. Cannot be used on Alien technology.

If you successfully operate a lock, you may choose to destroy it, rendering it inoperable.

  • Operating some locking mechanisms through this Effect may have a secondary effect, such as a turn-key ignition on an older or cheaper car causing it to start or stop. Note that the locking mechanism itself must satisfy the standard targeting requirements (including line of sight), not just the vehicle.
  • Any mechanism that requires a key, keycard, key fob, or combination may be considered locked, at the GM's discretion. This Effect may be used on doors and containers secured with control panels or other electronic locks, but not computer security systems at large.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.
