Crafted Artifact

Diva - Alice

Created by Winsley Herman, given to Alice Abernathy.
It appears as a clockwork version of the desired weapon. The projectiles are self-produced caseless rounds made of brass. The Words “Mortui salutem” Are etched into each round. Gears churn silently throughout its immaculate brass casing. Shots are left to a whispered hiss of steam. When changing forms tentacles reach out from within the casing and rearrange the barrel and shape in a moment. It can turn into a seemingly mundane lighter with clockwork inspirations that still functions as normally. Diva is a god of violence and craves the thrill of the hunt.

Winsley's deals are getting more serious, so naturally he requests to never be separated from his 'Friends'. If he is ever separated from one of the items he holds so dearly he can call upon some of his benefactor's debts and open a tear in the fabric to bring them to him.

This Artifact cannot be broken. If this Artifact is lost and in no one else’s possession, it finds its way back to its true owner during the next Downtime.

By default, the creator of this Artifact is its true owner. The true owner may formally bequeath this Artifact onto another person within arm’s reach, after which they are its true owner. If the true owner dies or is destroyed, their ownership ends. If this Artifact has no true owner, anyone may spend one day attuning to it to become its true owner.

If this Artifact is in no one else’s possession, its true owner may Exert their Mind and spend two Actions to bring it to themselves.

This Artifact's true owner must have it with them to have restful sleep. They cannot regain Mind or Source while separated from this Artifact.

  • "Cannot be broken" means that damage cannot render the Artifact's Effects unusable, nor can it cease to be used for its primary mundane purpose, if it has one.

If they choose to hold or use it, they immediately receive the following Trauma: you believe that the gun is alive at all times, is named Diva, and is a close friend you’ve known for years. during moments or rest or extreme stress make a self control roll not to talk to the gun. Fedora and Trench Coat of Sus-anoo

Created and held by Reginald Jackson.
They appear to just be a normal everyday fedora and trench coat but they seem to be emanating a dark energy of unknown origin. The fedora appears to be rather worn out near the tip from extensive grabbing by it's owner. The trench coat is XXXL while also looking too small on it's wearer all the time, it is black just like the fedora but it smells like it hasn't been washed since it was acquired.

The user will tip the fedora and flap the flaps of the trench coat dramatically and strange runes will begin to glow on the trimming of both articles of clothing.

Unlockerator Prototype

Created and held by Zak Friedman.
The first unlockerator! A pen-shaped object that, when inserted into a keyhole or set against a lock, projects a holographic screen to undo the lock's mechanism.

Zak's new unlockerator devices will open any and all locks. Target the lock and open the unlockerator's interface and plays a small mini game to defeat the mechanism. Once the game is complete, the lock pops open.

Expend a point of Battery and spend at least two Actions performing the following ritual: operate the unlockerator's interface to activate. Select a door, lock, or locked target within arm's reach , which is no more complex than a personal safe door or a keycard reader. Cannot be used on Alien technology. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted.

You may lock, unlock, and/or open your target.

  • Any door or restraint that is fastened or shut with a mechanism may be considered locked, at the GM's discretion. Can be used on control panels or other electronic locks, but not computer security systems.
  • If you operate a locking mechanism through this Effect which has some other secondary effect (such as the ignition on a car causing the car to start) you may cause that effect as well.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

Sack of infinite rubber chickens

Created and held by Chicot (Jean-Anthony d'Anglerais).
It is a small sack full of rubber chickens. The sack is in the same design as the jesters attire Chicot wears.

Chicot dances around with the sack in hand, while searching for where to hit the target. After performing his sad jesters dance, he chucks the rubber chicken at the targeted area of the target, whích then entagles them. The person entagled hears the sound of the screaming rubber chicken but only in their mind.

Chicot got a couple of his fingers bitten off by a chicken in a petting zoo. He would always freeze up, when he heard the evil clucking of th chickens. He managed to overcome his fear and use his symbol of fear for his own good.

The chicken laughs but the clown cries.

Spend an Action. Select a target within 45 feet. Roll Perception + Performance at Difficulty 6. The target may contest by Defending or Dodging.

If you succeed, your target will be restricted at their location by a physical, tangible binding. They cannot move to a new location, and, if your Contested Outcome was greater than their Brawn, they are encased and cannot take any physical Actions other than attempting to escape until they break free.

Restricted targets may escape their binding by spending an Action and taking a Severity-1 Injury. Their movement is reduced by 10 feet until the Injury heals.

You may use this Effect as a Reaction to contest any physical Action a target is taking. Excess Outcome does not restrict the target. This interrupts Concentration.

If your target does not escape within 3 Rounds, they cannot ever free themselves and must be rescued.

This Gift cannot have more than 3 Drawbacks, and its Gift Cost is capped at 1.

Anyone who touches this Artifact will notice it warping their body and may drop it. If they choose to hold or use it, they immediately receive the following Battle Scar: Missing Fingers. If they lose possession of this Artifact, the Battle Scar heals over the course of the next day.

  • For entities whose movement could be considered an attack (e.g. a kaiju), the GM may rule that they are merely slowed instead of fully restricted.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.
