Read The Room Reading the room is a important skill!
With the book open, a page is written that requires one to be able to decipher its wording. With each text writing itself, after a minute, one will be able to look into the page and see the information they seek.
Spend a minute. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 500 feet You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. If you fail or Botch, you receive one Mind Damage and a new Trauma. At the end of your investigation, roll Intellect + Occult at Difficulty 6.
You learn the following information about the area:
- You can locate the source of any Alien energy or the presence of any Alien effects on the area. Specific information about the function of these effects beyond their general type is not forthcoming.
- You learn how heavily trafficked the area is, what sorts of Animate beings have moved through the area and when.
This Gift cannot have more than 3 Drawbacks, and its Gift Cost is capped at 1.
You cannot investigate the same area more than once per day.
- You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
- Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

Offr.com: What's it worth?
"Most people know Offr.com as the home of the gig economy: a website where you can find a buyer for your old couch, and a worker to haul it away. It’s the home of everything from marketplace goods and bespoke commissions to task fulfillment and transportation services. Some whisper about less-than-legal deals being available on a 'dark web' version of Offr.com. The company denies these claims."
Sooner or later, all Contractors receive an invitation to join Offr Red, the secret membership tier. Offr Red members gain access to exclusive high-confidence, anonymous services. They can sell extraordinary items to Offr or put them up for auction for other Offr Red members to bid on. Crafty Contractors rejoice!
On rare occasions, Offr can even make deals to tie up pesky Loose Ends. However, they always demand a special favor in return.

Exhibit 1: Scene of the crime
So, tell me about this place.
Oleander is well-versed in good study habits. As he investigates a place, he verbally describes each little detail that he sees, and that helps him make sense of what he's seeing; it might even gain him some new insight on this scene.
On places:
Oleander has traveled to many places in his lifetime for his job, yet he still has so much left to learn about the world at large. Now it's bigger than ever. He doesn't know how to feel about that yet.
On yapping:
Being restricted on the grounds of keeping up his reputation has left him deeply unsatisfied whenever he exists in silence. He'll yap to people and plants and even inanimate structures. He'll start talking to himself if he must; it's a good studying habit anyway. Oleander needs all he can to study the cases he's working on. He can't let a single detail escape him in court.
On information:
The internet is a vast place, and he often uses it to go down rabbitholes because of a related subject in a case. He'll always watch timelapses as a way to calm down, and this has inevitably led to more familiarity with how various things age over time.

You learn a single specific piece of information, chosen from the following list, about the area:
- You learn where exactly creatures and people live within the area, and what sorts of creatures they are.
- You can tell the age of any structure or natural formation in the area. This includes trees and plants growing in the area.
You cannot investigate the same area more than once per day.
- You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
- Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.
Whispers of the Dead
“Turn left. Walk forward. I died behind the pipe…” you hear around David, as he finishes his candle-lit meditation.
David seems to focus, and around him in the air you can hear audible whispers in the voices of those that have died in this area, directing him towards their corpses.
David has meddled many a time in the realm and affairs of the Dead by now. He has even wrestled with them, tearing into one of their realms. The Dead have begun to call to him. To seek for him to find them. And so, in his ears, they sometimes whisper….
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 1 mile At the end of your investigation, roll Intellect + Occult at Difficulty 6.
You learn the following information about the area:
- You can tell how many living things have died in this area, what they were, and roughly when the deaths occurred.
- You learn the specific physical location of human corpses in this area
You cannot investigate the same area more than once per day.
- You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
- Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.
Ibutho le Izinzwa
"There has been a battle here..."
The Zulu God is called "uSomanlda", he felt the urge to create a world and therefore he began to shape land and water. He was immensely proud of its creation, he admired the sheer beauty of hills and rivers and was captivated by the huge size of imposing mountains and vast seas. This was a gift to the Zulu people, to use as a bounty of food and security, and in turn, the Zulu people return what was given in respect and praise.
Ibutho, the warrior kin of the Zulu were blessed with the gifts of hunting and warfare, using muthi and traditonal ornaments, they have the ability to contact their ancestors for guidance.

You cannot investigate the same target more than once per hour. At the end of your investigation, roll Charisma + Occult at Difficulty 6.

Static Probe
A burst of green electricity sparks off the contractor's body before dissipating into static, raising the contractor's hair up.
Spend a minute. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 100 feet You must actively and obviously use Fingerless non-conductive gloves to activate this Effect. At the end of your investigation, roll Intellect + Technology at Difficulty 6.
You learn the following information about the area:
- You can locate the source of any Alien energy or the presence of any Alien effects on the area. Specific information about the function of these effects beyond their general type is not forthcoming.
- You learn how heavily trafficked the area is, what sorts of Animate beings have moved through the area and when.
This Gift cannot have more than 3 Drawbacks, and its Gift Cost is capped at 2.
Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Weak stomach: Static Overstimulation.

Spirit of the Earth
The land remembers, I just pick its brain a little.
Roots slowly extend out from Carpathia, their ends glowing gently. They hang suspended in the air as Carpathia speaks into an acorn under her breath. After a minute, the roots all rapidly withdraw beneath Carpathia's skin.
All of the events that transpire in a location, all the thoughts and feelings of the creatures that inhabit the area, all of these things come together to form a spirit that reflects all these things. Technically, the entire universe has formed a spirit. Carpathia is just able to speak to a specific piece. But these spirits are unknowable, and if Carpathia is not careful she can be overcome by the sheer weight of the history around her. The world is rarely so directly hostile towards one of it's inhabitants, especially one as tied to it as Carpathia, but it can overestimate her psyche.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 500 feet You must actively and obviously use Acorn to activate this Effect. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. At the end of your investigation, roll Charisma + Influence at Difficulty 6.

Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 100 feet Can only be activated while you are in the wilderness. At the end of your investigation, roll Perception + Survival at Difficulty 6.
You learn the following information about the area:
- You can tell which entities lay claim to each part of the area and how these borders have shifted over time.
- You learn where exactly creatures and people live within the area, and what sorts of creatures they are.
You cannot investigate the same area more than once per day.
- You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
- Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.
Set the Scene
The detective pulls out their magnifying glass and investigates the area, learning details about any nearby structures and picking up details on what sorts of beings have passed through and when.
