The core of the Cockatrice, the drakebird’s ability to transform its victims into stone. As a hybrid human with Cockatrice DNA created by GenWyld experimentation, Ulysses has gained some of the beast’s power.

All alterations you make must Must Turn Body Parts to Stone (in mechanical effect only lost body part—or later with more investment, full polymorph+curse of the castle to statueify—stone hand, leg, foot, etc. So no Bad Back, no Wheezing).

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select two Sapient targets within arm's reach. This Effect cannot be used unless any abilities transferred are linked to witchcraft or demonic forces. You must actively and obviously use holy symbol to activate this Effect. If a target does not consent to the transfer, you must roll Charisma + Occult at Difficulty 6 to use the effect on them. They can resist by rolling either Body or Mind at Difficulty 6, depending on what you are attempting to transfer to them.
You may choose a single instance of one of the following to transfer between your two targets:
Whenever you transfer an Injury, it's Severity increases by 1. Whenever you transfer Mind damage or Traumas, the recipient takes an additional Mind damage.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Location which is at most 75 feet away horizontally or 15 feet away vertically.
You jump to the chosen location. If the landing is precarious, the GM may call for a roll to land safely. You will never take fall damage from successfully landing a jump made with this Effect.
You may activate this Effect while in free-fall, as long as your target Location is a surface on which you can land. You are immune to fall damage.
"Heads, or tails?" A simple 50/50 chance, yet getting it right instills one with the feeling that they are on a 'hot streak', that surely they can keep predicting the flow of luck and the face of the coin. Surely the unlikely will happen, and a big win is within reach only if one keeps gambling.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a number of Living targets equal to your Charisma within arm's reach. Roll Charisma + Thievery at Difficulty 6. Affected targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6 -3 dice.
If you succeed, for the next hour, affected targets will do things they otherwise wouldn’t have done, inspired by hubris. They will not necessarily display their emotions in an obvious way.
Actions they take will be in keeping with their character and the way they tend to deal with strong emotions. They will be unlikely to change their mind about any actions taken or decisions made until after the Effect ends.
If you choose to use Chain of Screaming, your target interacts with any valid target, they must roll Self-Control or be swept up in the same emotion. New targets pass it on as well, and so on, with the remaining duration decreasing by half until the chain stops.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is fidgeting with a lucky charm. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
While staring at a target within 20 feet, the user learns certain details about the target's criminal history. The target will also verbally say the crimes revealed to the user.
Spend 2 Actions. Select a Sapient target within 20 feet. You cannot investigate the same target more than once per hour. At the end of your investigation, roll Perception + Investigation at Difficulty 6. The target resists by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7.

This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is intense stare. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
Any information you gather is a verbal confession and made publicly available.
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.
The Thief examines an object closely for a minute to appraise its value. As their eyes dance across the subject, their pupils split vertically, and their irises fade to gold. If it is a particularly valuable item, the Thief may greedily lick their lips, revealing a forked tongue.
Within a minute, they have determined how materially valuable the object is and why.
Exert your Mind and spend a half hour. Select a target Object within arm's reach. At the end of your investigation, roll Intellect + Thievery at Difficulty 6.
You learn all the following information about your target:
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: It's All Mine Roll self control to not attempt to automatically steal whatever this is used on.
You cannot investigate the same target more than once per day.

You may lock, unlock, and/or open any number of doors, locks, or locked targets within arm's reach of you. Cannot be used on Alien technology.
If you successfully operate a lock, you may choose to destroy it, rendering it inoperable.

This Effect activates whenever you receive a Severity 2 or higher Injury from an attack. It does not require an Action or Exertion. Select a Living target within 45 feet. Roll Charisma + Influence at Difficulty 6. Affected targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, for the next minute, your target will do things they otherwise wouldn’t have done, inspired by remorse for hurting such a pure soul. They will not necessarily display their emotions in an obvious way.
Actions they take will be in keeping with their character and the way they tend to deal with strong emotions. They will be unlikely to change their mind about any actions taken or decisions made until after the Effect ends.
The seasoned necromancer's darkest art spits in the face of the natural order. Given sufficient preparation, they may temporarily revive any dead individual.
Take a Severity-1 Injury and spend one minute. Select a Dead target within arm's reach that has died within the last month.
Your target rises as an Animate being. They remember their past life and retain their same personality. They can communicate as they would have been able to in life. They may roll Mind, Difficulty 8, to resist any commands you give them.
The creature lasts for eight hours or until it dies again. It is revived at full health. Any Injuries it had in life are not accounted for when determining its penalties or progression towards re-death, though they may affect its ability to perform certain actions at GM's discretion.
Raised creatures have their Abilities set to the same that they were in life. Their Attributes are all the same as they were in life. Raised creatures have access to any Effects they had in life.
You may only use this Effect once per day.
The Witch summons a crow, whispers a message to it, and sends it off to deliver her words. Half an hour later, the crow arrives at the recipient and repeats her message aloud in its croaking, animal voice.
Spend an Action. Select a target any distance away from you. You must have a specific target in mind, but you require only an intuitive understanding of them, such as their name, face, or Location.
You may send a single message to your target. It can be as complex or as large as you like. It takes at least 30 minutes before it is received.
The message may be intercepted while in transit, and may be overheard, read, or otherwise understood by anyone near either you or the recipient. You must share a common language for your target to understand the message.
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.
True to their namesake, the hacker can penetrate the security of any computer system, granting access to its informational stores, or, in a pinch, allowing them to issue commands. The hacked system will display a flickering image of a ghost until it is dismissed.
While hacking, The Technician's fingers move with supernatural speed, blurring like a ghost.
Exert your Mind and spend 1 minute. Select a Computer within arm's reach. Does not work on Alien technology. Roll Intellect + Technology, with the Difficulty set by the GM depending on the security of the system you are hacking. Sapient targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you may issue a single command to the targeted system. This command must have a specific outcome or be a request for specific login credentials. The command you issue must be within the machine's current capabilities. For example, you cannot order a standard security camera to grow legs and walk around.
If your command does not require bypassing the security of the target (for example, typing on a computer that is unlocked), you do not need to Exert your Mind to activate this Effect, and activation only takes a single Action.
Your Hack cannot be reversed through mundane means for a number of hours equal to your Outcome.
Every hack you make leaves behind a flickering image of a ghost in the system as a personal "calling card" that informs anyone who uses the system that the hack occurred.
