The soldier's been through tougher scrapes than this. A few cuts and bruises won't stop them.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Your Stress from Injuries and Mind Damage is reduced to 0.
If you are Stunned, asleep, drugged, or otherwise made unconscious for any reason other than being Incapacitated, you may Exert your Mind to wake up. Any penalty which was caused by this condition is removed.
Lacey’s teeth become extremely sharp and parts of his body becomes inky black
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
You transform into ________ for 3 minutes. You have access to all of your Powers while you are ________, and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. Reverting from your Alternate Form cannot cause your existing Injuries to kill you. Instead, you remain Incapacitated.
While transformed, your Brawn is increased by 2, your Dexterity is increased by 2, and your Perception is increased by 2. You do not suffer any Stress while transformed.
Your alternate form is its own deadly weapon. Unarmed attacks made in your alternate form deal +3 Weapon Damage (instead of the typical -1).
Your alternate form renders you unable to speak any human language and incapable of fine object manipulation. You can only hold or grasp objects in a crude, clumsy way.
While transformed, you automatically fail any Mind roll to resist an impulse and suffer -3 dice on all other Mind rolls.
You are surrounded by Hellish Fire after giving yourself a cut on the hand to offer your blood and a portal opens next to you releasing Imps from Hell.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
Summon up to 3 Sapient Imp at your location. They last until they are destroyed They are controlled by the GM but will follow any commands you give. You may have at most 3 minions active at a time.
The target feels a strange feeling of safety when talking to the user. The bartender turns and smiles at you, “what can I help you with?”
Spend one minute. Select a Sapient target within arm's reach. You must actively converse with the individual in question for one minute in order to gather any information. At the end of your investigation, roll Charisma + Influence at Difficulty 6.
You learn all the following information about your target:
The quality and specificity of information gained depends on your Outcome.
Any information you gather is verbal and made publicly available.
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.
You cannot investigate the same target more than once per day.
You bite your target somewhere on the body and suck. In an instant, blood courses from their body into your mouth. When you are finished, you spit: something black and writhing hits the ground, then dies.
Exert your Mind and spend 1 Action. Select a Living target within arm's reach. Your target takes a Severity 1 Injury.
You may cure any Non-Alien diseases, toxins, or poisons afflicting your target even if you have not diagnosed or fully understood it. You may cure diseases or poisons even if they are not treatable through modern medicine. During treatment, the malady you are treating does not progress or cause additional Damage or other effects.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see Ellipsis bite and suck the blood from the target.
Despite your best efforts to appear an easygoing person, people recognize you for who you are - a cut above the rest. It's not intentional, but your best theory is that your uneducated control over *stuff* has something of a passive effect, causing people's brains to soften a bit around you. It's very tragic, but no reason not to take advantage. Of course, that near-idolization does come with an unfortunate recognizability...
[Hey, Listen!]: Your words carry an imperceptible weight that not even unfavourable audio conditions can tarry. People always hear you, whether they like it or not.
[Honest Eyes]: The tells that denote the deceptions of other are far too obvious to you. A slight facial twitch. A smile held a microsecond too long. You don't always know *what* they're lying about, but if they're trying to pull the wool over your eyes - you'll know.
[No Choice But To Stan]: The effect you have on other often has them defend you when you're wronged, for reasons you can't totally know. Likely they justify it to themselves as "the benefit of the doubt", but it matters not to you. They all fall in line, in the end.
[Maddening]: Knowing the lies of others has put a certain paranoia into you - what if someone else can see as you do? Best not to risk it - though sometimes, it's unavoidable.
[The Price Of Fame]: The magnetic air that has others bowing to you does have a side effect - you're altogether to easy to remember. Disguises do little, for the mark of your importance does not easily fade. Best not to be spotted, if you need to be unseen.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Your Charisma rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Charisma (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Compulsively Honest - Any time you are asked about yourself, or are offering information about yourself, you must succeed a Self-Control roll in order to lie. If you are ever required to lie for the safety of yourself or others, you must Exert your Mind; otherwise be candid.
You also gain the following effects:
No terrestrial animal dares defy the will of the beastmaster. The beastmaster exerts their dominance over an animal by locking eyes and giving a primal cry. The creature immediately becomes docile and eager to please.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Non-Alien Creature within 20 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless the target is a terrestrial animal.
For the next day, you may issue specific commands to your target which they will be compelled to follow.
Your commands can be complex and multi-layered, though they must still be specific. You cannot make them obviously endanger themselves or violate their instinct for self-preservation. The effects of the command will fade after a day has passed.
The Thief has a stash in which they can store a few objects. It can be accessed through any burlap sack.
Spend a Quick Action. You must actively and obviously use a burlap sack to activate this Effect.
You may withdraw an item from your stash, or add an item that is within arm’s reach to your stash. You may only stash targets which are in your possession, grappled, or otherwise controlled by you.
You may store Objects in your stash, each no larger than something which could fit inside a briefcase (15 liters), and you may store up to 3 things at a time.
You may choose to equip any equipment you withdraw at no additional cost.
The mobster presents a reasoned, logical case to the target: there's a lot of dangerous folks out there, and only they can offer safety... for a price.
If they agree, they will pay the mobster a monthly fee for protection. If they stop making their payments... well, let's just say, the mobster can't be held responsible for any unsavory types that might pay them a visit.
This Effect cannot be used unless you are making a deal to exchange money for protection.
You may make an oath with a physically-present, Sapient target. Communicate the oath's terms to the target, including the requirements and penalties for each participant. If all agree to the terms, you must Exert your Mind and all participants must shake hands to seal the deal.
Record the oath as a Condition. If a party breaks the oath, the Condition ends and they suffer the oath's penalty.
When crafting your oath, you may incorporate any of the following penalties:
The target cannot be compelled to agree via a direct threat of violence, another Effect, or another oath. If you would like to use clever wording to mislead the target, you must succeed a contested Intellect + (Culture or Influence) roll.
The Soldier has spent a healthy ten thousand hours training with the weapons of their military. They are deadly when wielding any firearm made in their home country. Drawing their standard issue at the start of a confrontation is pure reflex, and they may plan their shots to deal collateral damage to those behind their target.
You gain the following benefits as long as engaged in combat with firearms made in your home country.
+2 dice to all firearms made in your home country rolls.
You also gain the following effects:
The aquamancer spends a minute soaking their wounds in at least a gallon of water. During this time, the injured area is obviously absorbing the liquid, and the flesh visibly knits back together.
Exert your Mind and spend 1 minute. You must use up at least a gallon of water in order to activate this Effect. Choose a specific Injury on yourself that has not yet been treated with this Effect and roll Brawn + Survival at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, the Injury is reduced in Severity by your Outcome. If you reduce its Severity to 0, the Injury is fully healed. Otherwise, it is partially healed and will heal the rest of the way at its natural rate.
This counts as a successful Makeshift Stabilization if the Injury was not already Stabilized; any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will remain.
