When Lucas activates the barrier, the cape undergoes a dramatic transformation. The outer fabric darkens significantly, absorbing surrounding light and casting a shadowy aura around Lucas. Spectral, gnashing teeth appear along the edges of the cape, moving and clamping as if eager to bite. A faint, sinister hissing sound accompanies the visual, enhancing the eerie atmosphere.
As an attack comes towards Lucas, the cape responds by flaring out, the spectral teeth gnashing more fiercely. The attack is visibly absorbed by an invisible barrier that forms around Lucas, the impact creating a ripple effect through the darkened fabric. Observers would see the attacker’s blow deflected and feel the supernatural force of the cape’s defense.

Holding her palm up, a gap in the environment expands to the size of a subway tunnel, warping the space around it, and train tracks lay themselves down in front of the tunnel. Shortly after, the Dead Line comes barreling through.
(The train pamphlet always remains when the Dead Line is expanded, merely acting as the focus for it's summoning.)

This gun used to be Josephine's trusty side arm she picked up after leaving the force, but it seems to have shifted to try to fulfill a different purpose. It's trigger feels heavier than usual, causing more difficulty than one would expect in actually firing it. The trigger only gets heavier when it's aiming at a human target. It seems Redemption has molded itself to Josephine's desires, and has dedicated itself to helping her grow beyond her roots as a police officer. The gun cannot speak but it has a mind of its own, and requires a connection to another sapient creature in order to sustain itself.
This Artifact can be used as a handgun. It is roughly the same size as a handgun but can be collapsed into a lighter decorated with pyschedlic art depicting the ghost of a police officer and concealed. Collapsing or expanding it costs a Quick Action.

Select one of the following alterations to create out of Ice originating at the target:
The alteration begins to form when you activate this Effect and finishes forming on your initiative in the next Round. Until it finishes forming, it is not guaranteed to function.
This alteration lasts three hours but may be prematurely destroyed or altered. Your alterations may be broken through with appropriate tools. Anyone attempting to break through must roll Brawn + a relevant Ability. A cumulative Outcome of 3 across all attempts breaks a hole large enough to move through. See the extended system text for GM guidance on various tools.
You may sculpt your walls, domes, or tunnels as you create them, without any additional activation time or cost.

The new object's appearance can mimic specific items (such as a particular painting, a certain person’s ID, etc), but must be of a similar size and weight to this Artifact.
The new appearance is illusory; it will hold up to scrutiny, but its composition is not altered and it gains no new functionality. Any attempt to use it for a function which it cannot perform (for instance, making bread look like a knife and then trying to stab someone) will cause the illusion to fail or allow a Perception check to see through the illusion, at the GM's discretion.
