They can resist by rolling either Body or Mind at Difficulty 6, depending on what you are attempting to transfer to them.

When the ring is activated, the ruby inside the ring glows a dull red. A stream of red will flow from the user into the target and all injury's will vanish. They will then appear on the targets body or in there mind.

If a target does not consent to the transfer, you must roll body at Difficulty 6 to use the effect on them. They can resist by rolling either Body or Mind at Difficulty 6, depending on what you are attempting to transfer to them.

Exert your Mind and spend 10 Rounds. Select a Object within arm's reach that is no larger than an SUV. Cannot be used on Alien technology. More than half the target object must be present in order to begin repairs. Roll Intellect + Crafts at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, your target is repaired back to a functional state. If you fail, you spend the full time working before realizing you cannot repair the target.
After you finish activating this Effect, you cannot move quicker than a walk (max 15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour. Exhaustion’s penalty and duration stacks with multiple activations.
The amulet glows and your arm transforms into a leach like tendril made of flesh that latches into a target and either drains or bestows physical or mental energy

Upon signing the contract, purple flames begin to line the signatures on the paper. Those same flames then engulf the person losing their injuries. As the flames dissipate, so do the injuries, instead appearing on the other party.
