Like with the gift „Influence of the Bourgeoisie“ Marcus shows his opponend his ring and it starts to glow blue. While it starts to glow, the person sees their lowest moments and traumas in life.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Sapient or Creature target within 20 feet. Affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 8 with a -3 dice penalty. If they are incapacitated or unconscious, they fail automatically.
If they fail, your target will take 1 point of Mind damage and gain a new Trauma selected by the GM. This Trauma may be removed by Effects or mundane therapy, as normal. Affected targets are aware that they are being attacked and can generally tell who did it.
Millions of dark tendrils fly out, souls screaming and yelling, pleading for freedom and yet... It goes silent, the lingering energy of each soul, of each life taken is imbued into the target's soul, with each injury burning and sealing shut with black threads tying them up. When used on the dead, it envelopes them in a maw of darkness, their soul being pulled back into their vessel, to prolong the fight.
Exert your Mind and spend 2 Actions. Select a Living, Animate, or Dead target within arm's reach. You must use up sword in order to activate this Effect. Your target must also Exert their Mind to activate this Effect. Choose a specific Injury on your target that has not yet been treated with this Effect and roll Brawn + Melee at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, the Injury is reduced in Severity by your Outcome. If you reduce its Severity to 0, the Injury is fully healed. Otherwise, it is partially healed and will heal the rest of the way at its natural rate.
This counts as a successful Makeshift Stabilization if the Injury was not already Stabilized; any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will remain. Your patient is required to you must engage in combat at least once per day, every day, for the next month for the next month. If they violate this rule, your treatment is immediately reversed.
If your Outcome is greater than the Severity of the Injury you were attempting to treat, you may apply any excess Outcome to other Injuries on the same patient.
If you begin healing an Injury on a target that has been dead for less than a minute, and your healing reduces their Wound Level to a non-lethal level, their life is restored.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see The countless souls screaming in agony to be let go, to be freed.
When fired the muzzle flash is a strange magenta, and the wounds left by this weapon glow with that same magenta. Any armor the target is wearing seems come apart at the seams with in a flash of yellow energy. If the armor is organic, it softens to the point of loosing it's protective qualities.
This gun used to be Josephine's trusty side arm she picked up after leaving the force, but it seems to have shifted to try to fulfill a different purpose. It's trigger feels heavier than usual, causing more difficulty than one would expect in actually firing it. The trigger only gets heavier when it's aiming at a human target. It seems Redemption has molded itself to Josephine's desires, and has dedicated itself to helping her grow beyond her roots as a police officer. The gun cannot speak but it has a mind of its own, and requires a connection to another sapient creature in order to sustain itself.
This Artifact can be used as a handgun. It is roughly the same size as a handgun but can be collapsed into a lighter decorated with pyschedlic art depicting the ghost of a police officer and concealed. Collapsing or expanding it costs a Quick Action.
Attack by rolling Dexterity + Firearms, Difficulty 6. Successful attacks deal Contested Outcome +4 Weapon Damage.
This item is a living thing. When targeted, it counts as a Living Creature in addition to its other target types. If destroyed or abandoned for more than two days, it dies and becomes unusable.
You also gain the following effects:
When Selma activates Doctor’s Orders, she closes the distance with an eerie calm. As she speaks, her golden glasses catch the light unnaturally, gleaming with a brilliance that no earthly material should possess.
The air between her and the target seems to ripple faintly, as though reality itself is bending to listen.
For just a heartbeat, the target sees their own reflection in the lenses — warped by emotion, intensified into something impossible to ignore.
Observers will instantly know something unnatural is happening, even if they can’t quite explain what.
Doctor’s Orders is not simply persuasion.
It is the clinical weaponization of human emotion — the perfect merging of Selma’s medical mastery and her supernatural Gifts.
The glasses she wears are relics of another reality, tuned to the human soul rather than the human mind. Through whispered words and flashes of hypnotic gold, she can peel back the careful rationalizations people build around themselves, leaving only raw, unfiltered emotion.
Most never realize they've been tampered with. They just act — as if the choices were their own all along.
The legend of Doctor Whispers is whispered in fear and awe because of this: not that she controls minds, but that she convinces you to destroy yourself — gladly.
Exert your Mind and spend one minute. Select a number of Living or Animate targets equal to your Charisma within arm's reach as well as a specific emotion. Roll Charisma + Medicine at Difficulty 6. Affected targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6 -3 dice.
If you succeed, for the next hour, affected targets will do things they otherwise wouldn’t have done, inspired by the chosen emotion. They will not necessarily display their emotions in an obvious way.
Actions they take will be in keeping with their character and the way they tend to deal with strong emotions. They will be unlikely to change their mind about any actions taken or decisions made until after the Effect ends.
If you choose to use Chain of Screaming, your target interacts with any valid target, they must roll Self-Control or be swept up in the same emotion. New targets pass it on as well, and so on, with the remaining duration decreasing by half until the chain stops.
If any affected target takes or deals Damage, this Effect ends.
The Phantom Corsair's unfolds from this deck of cards, into this steel-and-aluminum body measured just 57 in (140 cm) in height and incorporated fully skirted wheels and completely flush fenders while forgoing running boards. It has a white base with a sleek black stripe down the middle. It tops out in 160 MPH (currently).
The Phantom Corsair is a 1-of-a-kind Car that the original owner of the Artifact Jack Strider, now deceased, briefly touched-up to disguise it; after literally robbing it out of it's Museum during a Downtime Move... anyone who sees this car and suspects something may make an Intellect + Drive to discern it, or it's history.
This Artifact can be used as a super car. It is roughly the same size as a super car but can be collapsed into Closed Deck of Cards and concealed. Collapsing or expanding it costs a Quick Action.

A heavy black powder cannon, taken from an 1800s warship, laborious effort has clearly been taken to keep it in working order, as well as decorate it, as it is covered in engravings and decorative coral pieces.

This Artifact holds 5 times what it normally could inside of it. Objects stored inside are weightless. Unless you are storing something commonly found in coffins, this Artifact behaves as its mundane counterpart. This Effect cannot be used unless you are storing something commonly found in coffins.
Living things can be stored in this Artifact. They will have access to anything else inside and may attempt to break free, damaging or destroying the Artifact in the process.
If this Artifact is destroyed, things inside may get out, and it will cease to function until it is repaired.
When scanned or investigated without opening, the contents of this container appear normal and unremarkable.

If anyone other than you opens the container, it appears empty. Others can still destroy it to get at the contents.
The lightning bracers can be activated to summon a thunderbolt into the wearer's hand. Throwing these thunderbolts makes an incredibly loud boom. Once a thunderbolt is in hand, the wearer can throw as many as they wish. The electricity from these bolts will jump between nearby targets.
This Artifact produces ephemeral projectiles that can be used as a javelin.
Attack by rolling Brawn + Athletics, Difficulty 6. Successful attacks deal Contested Outcome +3 Weapon Damage.

The spy can do up their passport to appear as any valid form of identification.
This Artifact can change its appearance. When not transformed, it is roughly the same size as a passport but can be collapsed into a wallet and concealed. Collapsing or expanding it costs a Quick Action.
Spend a Quick Action to activate. This Artifact changes its appearance into a chosen Object. This lasts until you decide to end the Effect, which may be done as a Free Action.
The new object's appearance can mimic specific items (such as a particular painting, a certain person’s ID, etc), but must be of a similar size and weight to this Artifact.
The new appearance is illusory; it will hold up to scrutiny, but its composition is not altered and it gains no new functionality. Any attempt to use it for a function which it cannot perform (for instance, making bread look like a knife and then trying to stab someone) will cause the illusion to fail or allow a Perception check to see through the illusion, at the GM's discretion.
When used as identification and scanned, the scanner will act appropriately and bring up appropriate generic information. Further searches for the identity in the computer will turn up no results. This will not open security doors on its own.
The Predatory Raiment has a cloak feature that allows its owner to hide themselves and their equipment with active camouflage. When viewed, they look like a slightly shifted and shimmering version of the surrounding environment.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are not at all wet and you are wearing this Artifact.
You and everything you are carrying is obscured in one of the following manners. You may Spend an Action to change the way in which you're concealed.
While this Effect is active, any Effect that would obscure you or your equipment specifically from other, additional senses fails automatically.
If someone discovers you, this Effect will not help you hide from them for the next minute. This Effect does not end early when you activate an obvious Effect, attack, or receive an Injury.
The "Reaper" Assault Helmet is the signature piece of the Future Soldier's arsenal. It has a sleek, design and is made of a mysterious matte-metallic alloy. The wearer's face is exposed normally, but when activated, a blue holographic visor flickers to life in front of the eyes. This HUD contains information about the soldier's ammunition and shield status, but more significantly can detect enemy combatants. Anyone nearby who is holding a weapon is painted with a red dot that follows them in real time. This allows the Future Soldier to fire at painted targets in the dark, detect ambushes lurking around corners, and grants an overall tactical advantage.
Expend a point of Battery and spend an Action.
You automatically detect all people wielding weapons within 300 feet of you for the next hour. This includes any who come within range during the duration. You have a sense of how many valid targets are nearby, as well as their distance and direction.
