Grave Digger "Hand me my shovel, I'm going in."
Sometimes a grave digger has to keep the restless souls and rotting corpses in the dirt. Luckily they tend to have a shovel on hand.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in combat with shovels.
+2 dice to all rolls with shovels. You may Defend against firearm attacks from any range using shovels.
You also gain the following effects:
- Finesse: You may limit the Severity of any Injury you inflict or determine a maximum Wound Level to inflict on the target, including Incapacitated. You may also choose to make this Injury properly or improperly stabilized, or to keep it unstabilized.
- Heavy Strikes: If you are attacking with a blunt weapon, if your attack causes an Injury you may choose to knock the target down and back 15 feet. Standing up is typically a Quick Action.

Charlatans

Nowadays you can't go a day without some phony prophet trying to peddle their wares to you.
Driven by the increased interest in the supernatural, charlatans from palm readers to televangelists are everywhere. And while the vast majority of witches, psychics, magicians, hypnotists, cures, potions, faith healers, and clairvoyants are complete fakes, they do make a living.
As the saying goes, "it's easier for an actor to make it in alternative medicine than Hollywood."
Most people scoff at these clearly-phony supernatural services, yet those same people often buy into at least one scam.
The most dangerous charlatans are the self-styled monster hunters who carry a mall-ninja arsenal and guns with silver bullets. Most have never encountered anything supernatural and do absolutely nothing besides burn some sage and patrol the area for a night or two. Even so, those who are superstitious, fearful, or desperate enough will hire them to solve the problems they simply don't understand. In some cases with disastrous results.
For Contractors, charlatans are red herrings and obstacles. Clumsy fakes that conjure a smokescreen of misinformation and escalate the situations they're in.

Anger and Fury towards the enemy
Remembering his training, getting memories as to how they were taught to simply feel no emotion aside from hatred and anger towards the enemy, to have no feelings and see them as the shit stain of the earth it kicks in farther and further when he is picking up the artifact and remembering the monsters that were people that he killed during the war. Practicing the anger of yesteryears past he attains a new height of skill and is able to use it with weapons used by soldiers of both past, future, and present.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact and you are engaged in combat with Military Melee Weapons.
Your attacks with Military Melee Weapons deal +3 Bonus Damage. Armor is fully effective against this damage.
You also gain the following effects:
- Bullet Parry: You may React to and Defend against firearms and other projectiles with Military Melee Weapons.
- Dismember: If one of your attacks causes a Battle Scar, you may choose for it to be some form of dismemberment, depending on the Severity of the Injury you caused.
- Fancy Footwork: You may move your full Dash distance and attack with your Melee weapon in the same Round without penalty. You may also split your movement before and after your attack.
- Reminder: Bonus Damage stacks with Weapon Damage, but does not stack with any other Bonus Damage. Instead, the highest Bonus Damage is used.
Talon Grip
Like a bird of prey, her hands hold a tight iron grip on what she holds. Her innate ability to use short blades, like a dagger, reflects the possible innate usage of her farthest ancestor's claws.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in combat with Knives.
+2 dice to all rolls with Knives. You may Defend against firearm attacks from any range using Knives.
You also gain the following effects:
- Assassin: If your attack Injures your target, they cannot make a sound, even incidentally, for a single Round. Even the sound of their body and equipment dropping to the ground is silenced.
- Point Control: Called Shots that you attempt only require a Contested Outcome of 2 for small targets and 4 for tiny targets.
- Grip Discipline: You cannot be disarmed against your will by Minor, Major, or Severe Battle Scars, physical Actions, environmental conditions, botches, or Effects. Your weapon may still be destroyed.
- Quick Draw: You may draw and equip yourself with any melee weapon on your person or within arm’s reach as a Free Action, as long as it is not being wielded by someone else.
Tempest Blades
Dance like a whirlwind, a tempest of steel
Hyaku is a quick learner. While it takes most years to master the way of the air bender’s blades, she could get a grasp on the basics with a couple simple combat encounters. Now she can slash and push as the wind does, with multiple heavy blades to back it up.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in combat with greatswords.
+2 dice to all rolls with greatswords. You may Defend against firearm attacks from any range using greatswords.
You also gain the following effects:
- Heavy Strikes: If you are attacking with a blunt weapon, if your attack causes an Injury you may choose to knock the target down and back 15 feet. Standing up is typically a Quick Action.
- Two Swords are better than One: If you are wielding two melee weapons, your Weapon Damage is increased by 1, and you receive +2 dice to any Clash. If you split your Outcome to attack two targets, any target you successfully hit takes the full Weapon Damage and full Bonus Damage.
- Reminder: Bonus Damage stacks with Weapon Damage, but does not stack with any other Bonus Damage. Instead, the highest Bonus Damage is used.
Expert Swordsman
Having been trained in the art of swordsmanship by his father, Woebhiro possesses expertise in handling katanas while in combat to deadly effect.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in combat with melee weapons.
+2 dice to all rolls with melee weapons. You may Defend against firearm attacks from any range using melee weapons.
You also gain the following effects:
- Falling Crane Strike: If you move and then make a successful attack against a target closer than the full distance you could have moved, you may choose to travel the excess movement in a straight line beyond the target.
- Quick Draw: You may draw and equip yourself with any melee weapon on your person or within arm’s reach as a Free Action, as long as it is not being wielded by someone else.
You gain the following benefits as long as It only appears during the Holy Gundam Phase and you are engaged in combat with melee weapons.
+2 dice to all rolls with melee weapons. You may Defend against firearm attacks from any range using melee weapons.
You also gain the following effects:
- Heavy Strikes: If you are attacking with a blunt weapon, if your attack causes an Injury you may choose to knock the target down and back 15 feet. Standing up is typically a Quick Action.
- Two Swords are better than One: If you are wielding more than one melee weapon, you may Attack with all using the highest Weapon Damage, plus 1 for each additional weapon. If you reserve a weapon, any Clash or Defend roll you make is -1 Difficulty, and mob penalties are ingored.
