Jane focuses on mimicking the specific properties of a subject, such as the hardened material of metal or the speed of a car, as her skin ripples and changes to accommodate the power she’s looking for. The only limit of what she can mimic is her imagination. That, and what she’s touched. These ripples leave scars on her body, intermingling with the ones she already has from her nightly activities.
Exert your Mind and spend 30 minutes. You may only target yourself. The target can easily Resist.
You may add one augmentation to your target. Each augmentation counts as a Battle Scar and can have exactly one of the following Effects:
The augmentations you provide are not outwardly visible nor obvious.
You may end this Effect prematurely as a Free Action.
Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Disfigured: Scarred skin.
Your alteration "heals" over the course of the next month, after which it is fully cured.
Your lower arms perform intricate, quick movements, weaving up an object made entirely of web in a flash. Of course, it may not be the best work considering the time it took to make, so it won't take too long to fall apart under strenuous use.
Exert your Mind (unless you win a coin flip) and spend 1 minute.
Choose a specific type of Weavable Object (Basket, web, scarf, rope, etc) which could fit inside a regular backpack (up to 27 liters). It must be Non-Alien and generic. You cannot create explosives. You cannot create firearms.
Roll Dexterity + Crafts to fabricate up to 5 copies of your chosen Object. The Difficulty is assigned by the GM and depends on the specificity of your chosen Object. The created item lasts 2 hours.
Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Malformed - You have 2 extra pairs of spiderlike arms that can't be used for anything outside of this power. These limbs are targetable and cannot be armored.
Louie's arms can extend rapidly, appearing as though it is a mechanism doig it.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You are permanently and visibly transformed: parts of Louie's skin on his arms are replaced with metallic plating and wiring. You are considered to be a Sapient, Living Computer when targeted. Your Brawn is increased by 1.
Your appendages can reach an additional 30 feet.
Your brain is tapped directly into the world wide web. This is in many ways a terrible burden, but on the other hand, it means you can Google basically anything on the fly. Two thirds of intelligence is knowing when to ask for help; the other third is having fucked up brain chemistry that makes you bad at socialising, probably.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Your Intellect rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Intellect (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Does Not Compute - Whenever you are presented with a critical (crucial) split-second decision, such as a Reaction, roll Self Control. On a failure: you are "stun-locked" out of your reaction, as your brain overclocks itself.
You also gain the following effects:
Momma Ettu knows bad things happen to bad people, without fail. The balance always tips, and if her speaking a few words can help it along, so be it.
By merely mentioning that someone 'has it coming', on success, the target is afflicted with a functionally invisible karmic curse.
It's just.. the *worst* luck.
A root easily tripped across, a car that grazes them as they're crossing the street, or perhaps a monkey in a nearby tree haphazardly tossing a coconut-
The target will find themselves incredibly accident-prone, taking a minor 1 point injury per day, randomly.
Their 'destiny' is ripped away from them, and it's as though the universe itself is conspiring against them. A bird may fly in front of their fireball as they throw it. They may get accosted by a more of dust blown up their nose and randomly sneeze and interrupt themselves as they try to do a power.
This does not summon anything new, or create a disease in the target, it just ensures something in the environment will hurt them when the damage is 'due'
Randomly aggressive animals and freak accidents are usually how to damage is dealt.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Living target within 25 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless Someone must hear her mention that the target deserves whatever is coming.. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. Roll Charisma + Occult at Difficulty 6. Your target may resist by rolling Body at Difficulty 7.
If you succeed, the target is afflicted with a Condition that causes any number of the following symptoms:
The affliction is not treatable by modern medicine. It may be diagnosed by rolling Intellect + Occult at Difficulty 6, and can be cured by Ritually bathe in clean, clear, natural running water under the light of the moon. (15 minutes).
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is Speaking with a calm, soothing voice and an intense stare. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
Your superior and you know it
You gain the following benefits at all times. You must actively and obviously be using Dimond pendant to gain the benefits of this Effect.
Your senses are enhanced in the following way.
The aquamancer has internal reserves of water that they may call upon when needed, and it will gush out of the pores in their skin wherever it is directed.
Spend a Quick Action.
You may withdraw an item from your stash, or add an item that is within arm’s reach to your stash. You may only stash targets which are in your possession, grappled, or otherwise controlled by you.
You may store units of water in your stash, each no larger than something which could fit inside a briefcase (15 liters), and you may store up to 3 things at a time.
You may choose to equip any equipment you withdraw at no additional cost.
When the Vampire's lust for blood is satiated, their injuries heal at a remarkably fast rate and new injuries are quickly stabilized. While healing, the Vampire's skin retains its deathly pale appearance, as any blood he consumes is being used to repair his wounds.
You gain the following benefits as long as as long as you have drank a half gallon (lethal) amount of blood in the past 24 hours.
Any Injury you receive heals quickly, reducing its Severity by one level every 6 hours. Any Injuries you receive while this Effect is active automatically count as a successful Proper Stabilization and do not deteriorate further. Any Battle Scars caused by such an Injury will heal with the Injury.
The detective pulls out their magnifying glass and investigates the area, learning details about any nearby structures and picking up details on what sorts of beings have passed through and when.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 100 feet You must actively and obviously use a magnifying glass to activate this Effect. At the end of your investigation, roll Perception + Investigation at Difficulty 6.
You learn the following information about the area:
The Witch gazes at a calm and trusting animal and blinks, revealing eyes that have changed to match the creature's. Her body goes limp and collapses, and the witch proceeds to walk away, now temporarily borrowing the animal's body.
A borrowing Witch is a visitor in the animal's mind and cannot overstay her welcome or force the animal into danger.
Spend an Action or Reaction. Select a Creature target within 20 feet. The target may Resist.
You possess your target and have control over their actions for the next hour. Your original body will be left behind, unconscious, in its same location. You may perceive through your original body's senses, at a -2 penalty to all Actions while doing so. If your original body is touched, you get a Perception check to notice. You may spend an Action to end the possession early.
Stats: Any Actions you take will use the possessed creature’s Brawn, Dexterity, and Perception, but use your own Charisma, Intellect, and Abilities.
Gifts: You do not have access to any Gifts while you are possessing your target.
Death: If the host suffers an Injury, or is destroyed or incapacitated, you are evicted back into your own body. If the possession ends and your original body was killed or destroyed, you will die.
Eviction: You cannot force your host to take Actions which would violate their instinct for self-preservation (which includes engaging in Combat for any purpose other than self-defense or natural hunting); any attempt to do so will sever the connection and send you back into your own body. If you are forced out of the target's body prematurely, you must make a Trauma roll.
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.
The witch knows bad things happen to bad people. By bringing attention to a karmic imbalance, she can hurry it along, causing her target's bad luck to catch up with them. The target finds themselves suffering injuries due to freakishly bad luck until they cleanse themselves or perish.
Exert your Mind and spend one minute. Select a Living target within 20 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless the target deserves it. Roll Charisma + Occult at Difficulty 6. Your target may resist by rolling Body at Difficulty 7.
If you succeed, the target is afflicted with a Condition that causes one of the following symptoms:
The affliction is not treatable by modern medicine. It may be diagnosed by rolling Intellect + Occult at Difficulty 6, and can be cured by bathing fully in clear running water.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is you staring at the target, speaking calmly. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
