the power of alchemy is foreign but it's powers of restoration are undeniable as the powers explain this concoction, it's restorative properties are strong and capable of healing many wounds over little time, though the formula is not yet perfect and it can leave horrid and disturbing scars, and one should not stair at the powers of flesh becoming whole again
Use up this bottle of elixer and spend 15 minutes to activate. Select a Living or Animate target within arm's reach. Choose a specific Injury on your target that has not yet been treated with this Effect and roll Intellect + Science (10 dice) at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, the Injury is reduced in Severity by your Outcome. If you reduce its Severity to 0, the Injury is fully healed. Otherwise, it is partially healed and will heal the rest of the way at its natural rate.
This counts as a successful Makeshift Stabilization if the Injury was not already Stabilized; any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will remain.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see The process of flesh amalgamating and suturing back together like tentacles and worms eating each other and becoming one mass.
When you Activate this Effect, roll a single d10. If the result is 5 or lower, your target receives a Minor Battle Scar.
After drinking the red fluid hell fire burns off the injury.
Use up this Crimson Drink and spend 1 minute. Roll 7 dice at Difficulty 6, dice penalties do not apply.
If you succeed, the Injury is reduced in Severity by your Outcome, unless it had Severity 4 or higher, in which case its Severity remains the same.
Although this consumable item appears as a mushroom and the user may certainly eat it, merely passing through it will activate it's effects which appear to onlooker(s) as a full body growth in a series of frames. It's looks as if reality's f/s have slowed and the user "blinks" or "blips" stocatically from one size to the next.
A single path lies Infront of you, no left or right turns, the only choice is forward. And there in front and above you, just high enough to jump up and punch, is a box labeled with a glowing question mark. You hit it, and box ceases to glow, but out from the top, a mushroom falls. As you approach it, remembering vaguely some sort of cautionary song or rhyme or mnemonic device the boyscouts used to teach, it looks almost inviting. Then suddenly it rotates, revealing grotesque eyes, a slobbering mouth, and upsetting knobby feet.
Your eyes pop open, exacaping you from this dream.
You jolt up in a cold sweat, and there on the floor at the foot of your bed is a perfect-looking mushroom gliding peacefully and bouncing softly from wall to wall. "Super Mushroom," you whisper instinctively to yourself, and you feel the power inside of it. "Ya-hooo"
Use up this Amanita muscaria mushroom and spend a Quick Action.
You transform into The same but larger and taller for 3 minutes. You have access to all of your Powers while you are The same but larger and taller, and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. Reverting from your Alternate Form cannot cause your existing Injuries to kill you. Instead, you remain Incapacitated.
While transformed, your Brawn is increased by 1.
Your body is adapted to Mario movement (jumping, running, etc). You receive +3 dice on non-attack rolls related to Mario movement (jumping, running, etc).
If you become Incapacitated or suffer an Injury Severity 4 or greater, you revert from your Alternate form.
The consumable appears to be two chemical vials. Pour them upon an object or pile of items, and watch as it shifts and molds. This normally takes months or years to research and produce, but who are you to complain? It's food.
After a minute you'll get your requested food item, whose output weight matches that of the input. The taste of the food will depend on the value of the object. Make sure it's exactly 1 minute (not that you can tell if it takes a bit longer than that). Who knows what'll happen if it isn't.
On alchemy:
Here comes the alchemist chef. Does Delphyrion need to specify that this is a transformation from one object to another? Not really. Do they really like the law of conservation of mass and matter? Nope. Do they know they don't have to do all this stuff to limit themselves? Debatable. They'll just insist that this is for the science, the discovery, the suspense, the funny shenanigans.
On the vials:
They appear to be generic vials of clear liquid when unused, though that's questionable enough in and of itself if Delphyrion ever needs to get it past TSA (not that it's much of an issue anymore, considering the availability of their little stash). Hopefully Delph has labeled these correctly, lest they try to chuck this at someone instead of their signature piranha solution. What is the liquid called, anyway? ...Schrodinger's solution. It either exists or it doesn't. Or maybe it's somewhere in between...
On the backpack:
This consumable used to be a backpack. It was easy enough to mistake for any backpack at all, and Delphyrion had not put a label on it. They have lost quite a few beakers and pens to it whenever they mused about their next experiment, as they often reach epiphanies by saying, "If only I had [food item]". Perhaps that's why the artifact works this way.
On food quality:
For some reason the output quality directly ties to the price of food in Orlando. So, use a 5-cent pencil, and you'll get a 5-cent quality potato fry*.
Also, yeah, make sure it's 1 minute exactly. This is a theoretical number; no one has tried to test its limits, hence its reference to Schrodinger.
*Food will vanish from your stomach after 2 hours.
Use up this pair of chemical vials and spend 1 minute. Roll 7 dice Difficulty 6, dice penalties do not apply.
Choose a specific type of Food which could fit inside a regular backpack (up to 27 liters). It must be Non-Alien and generic. You cannot create explosives. You cannot create firearms.
Roll Intellect + Crafts (10 dice) to fabricate up to 5 copies of your chosen Object. The Difficulty is assigned by the GM and depends on the specificity of your chosen Object. The created item lasts 2 hours.
You may end this Effect prematurely as a Free Action.
Luciano's burnt hands unconsciously quake with pain and fright as he stares down at the hole in his abdomen that flowers with crimson, reaching into the hip pocket of his Minecraft grass block pants and feeling the stickiness of a honey jar that has been left open in there, and the fresh blood that spills from the burning wound.
Reaching his fingers into the jar, and covering his fingers with the now amberish liquid, Luciano lets out a yelp as he forces himself to push his fingers into the wound, quelling the bleeding with the viscous substance.
And then, The Hive is upon him. A painful buzzing sends needles through his braised nervous system as they form their hexagonal honeycomb in the bullet hole, turning each movement into a limp as he feebly attempts to walk it off.
And then, as quickly as they arrived, they are gone once more. A beehive in miniature spills forth from the wound, pushed out like a splinter and leaving unblemished flesh behind.
Well, relatively unblemished. It had already started off pretty bad after that fire.
A few scant bees still buzz around the jar of honey that Victor gave to him prior to his death. Luci didn't feel that he deserved it after what happened to Victor, but Anthony insisted that he keep it.
He tries to look after the bees by bringing them Sunny D and, if he empties out a little bit of their honey into something else, he'll find the jar replenished, perhaps from the abundance that CiCi's Infinite Pizzabilities brings forth.
Luciano doesn't exactly have any jars of his own, but he occasionally "borrows" some of the little glass containers that the staff here put their incense sticks in, and fills the little jars with honey instead. He likes to call this "reverse-engining", but doesn't really know what that means.
The honey jars smell nice but tastes terrible, mostly because there's still some incense inside the containers when Luciano adds the honey, and he sometimes leaves them open in his pockets.
Use up this re-used incense jar filled with honey (unless you succeed on 1d10, Difficulty 7) and spend 1 minute. Roll 7 dice at Difficulty 6, dice penalties do not apply.
After you finish activating this Effect, you cannot move quicker than a walk (max 15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour. Exhaustion’s penalty and duration stacks with multiple activations.
A small, cloth-wrapped bomb weighing that can be thrown or attached to an arrow shaft. The cloth is red and is fastened shut with a short length of twine. When it hits a target, it immediately detonates, affecting a shockingly large area for such a small package.
Spend an Action and use up this bomb. Select a Location no further than 40 feet from you and in your line of sight. The area within 25 feet of the chosen Location immediately and obviously becomes imminently dangerous. Roll 7 dice Difficulty 6, dice penalties do not apply. Targets inside the radius may attempt an appropriate Reaction at GM’s discretion. Finding a physical barrier to use as cover will cut total Damage taken in half (applies after Reaction roll but before Armor).
If the Outcome is positive, your blast hits everything within 25 feet of the chosen Location with Damage equal to your Outcome + 4.
The mad scientist produces thorium cores that can be used to upgrade tools and other devices. The core supercharges the item, increasing its quality and rendering it indestructible for a period. However, once the core runs dry, the object is rendered less useful than it was before. The core crackles with blue electricity while active.
Spend 1 Action and use up this glowing blue disk. Select a non-Alien Device within arm's reach. Cannot be used to improve Armor.
Lasts the next two hours. Your target receives 2 extra dice to all actions taken for its intended use. Attacking with an upgraded weapon grants +2 Weapon Damage instead of additional dice. While it is upgraded, the item cannot be destroyed.
After the Effect ends, any upgraded targets suffer a -2 dice penalty until they are either repaired or upgraded again.
The Ninja always prepares a few smoke bombs ahead of time to get out of sticky situations. They can fill a room with smoke in an instant and last long enough for the Ninja to make an escape or find an opening for attack.
Spend an Action and use up this smoke bomb.
You create a hemispherical dome of smoke originating at your Location, with a radius of 60 feet. and lasting for 5 minutes. The area inside your zone is affected in any number of the following ways:
The user places this slip of paper from the mystic against their head, speaks the inscribed phrase, and envisions a time they wished they were alone. the paper bursts into a shockwave that pushes a nearby being away. The repulsion field can be maintained for several seconds by meditating on the nature of solitude.
Spend an Action and use up this paper with mysterious calligraphy. Select a Animate target up to 100 feet away.
Targets are pushed back until they are 100 feet away.
This Effect cannot move anything heavier than 500 pounds.
Affected targets may use a Reaction and roll Dexterity or Brawn + Athletics to hold on to a nearby anchor, if available. A complete success increases their effective weight by whatever they hold onto.
Pushing a target straight upward requires you to be directly beneath them and halves the range. GM’s may ask for a Dexterity + Athletics roll when repositioning yourself around a target to get a desired angle. They may React to reposition or anchor themselves as normal.
You may maintain Concentration after the initial activation of this Effect to continue the push on the target. Lasts up to one minute.
The Witch prepares a vial of green fluid that can be used to poison any food or drink. Anyone who consumes the poison will grow drowsy and then fall into a deep sleep. While unconscious, the victim dreams of the witch and learns a secret about them.
Use up this vial of green liquid and spend an Action to turn food or drink into a trap. This trap lasts until triggered or disarmed. Roll 7 dice Difficulty 6, dice penalties do not apply.
The trap looks like food or drink. Only those who have seen this trap before can identify it as a trap. Anyone who is aware of the trap may intuitively avoid, trigger, or destroy it.
Any Living target within within arm's reach that uses the trap as food or drink will trigger it. Affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.
When the trap is triggered, your target becomes drowsy for the next 3 Rounds, during which time they suffer an additional -2 dice Penalty to all Actions. At the end of their drowsiness, they fall asleep for Contested Outcome x 3 hours.
Sleeping targets will not prematurely wake up on their own, and can only be awoken by taking Damage or nearing death from hunger, thirst, or suffocation. Drowsy targets always fall asleep, regardless of what happens while they are drowsy.
An affected target's dreams while they are asleep will involve you in some way, and will reveal you as the source of their sleep as well as reveal secret information about yourself to them.
If an affected target was already sleeping when you used this Effect, they are put into a deep coma that lasts indefinitely, but they will be awoken from it if a kiss from someone who's attracted to them.
The hacker is capable of crafting bottles of nanites. When poured on a broken object, the nanites go to work restoring it to a functioning state. The goop shimmers and crawls, sparking with blue electricity as it reforms broken parts.
Spend 10 Rounds and use up this a bottle of metallic fluid. Select a Object within arm's reach that is no larger than an SUV. Cannot be used on Alien technology. More than half the target object must be present in order to begin repairs. Roll 7 dice Difficulty 6, dice penalties do not apply.
If you succeed, your target is repaired back to a functional state. If you fail, you spend the full time working before realizing you cannot repair the target.
