When an ally is about to be hit, Sketch can't look away, and a wave of energy escapes them, coalescing as a glowing green gold shield around their ally.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action or Reaction to activate. Select a Animate target within 20 feet. You cannot target yourself. Roll Perception + Influence at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you create a barrier around your target, which absorbs the next Outcome Damage. The Damage reduction from the barrier is applied before Armor, and is treated like Armor by any effects such as Armor Penetration. You may only have 1 active barrier at a time.
You must maintain Concentration while using this Effect. The barrier will fall if you are interrupted, or if it absorbs the full amount of Damage. When a barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds.
Passing someone a joint, is a really nice thing to do. When someone passes you a smoke, then they feel more obliged to do you a favour.
The dude uses this, to get people to do something for him. He offers them a smoke in exchange for them doing something for him.
“I’m so fucking faded dude, can you get me a water. My mouth is so fucking dry holy shit.”
Exert your Mind and spend at least one Action. Select a Sapient target within 20 feet. You must actively and obviously use Item used for smoking (Cigarette / Joint / Blunt / Pipe) to activate this Effect. Your target may be actively engaged in Combat. Communicate a command to your target. Roll Charisma + Influence at Difficulty 6. The target may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7.
If the contested Outcome is positive, your target will be compelled to follow your command to their best understanding of the letter and spirit of the command until they have completed it or for your Contested Outcome in minutes. You cannot issue another suggestion to the target until 10 minutes after they have completed the first command or 10 minutes after a failure.
The target is unaware that they are under supernatural influence and feel they are acting of their own free will. If you fail, they realize that you were attempting to influence them supernaturally with your command.
Your command can be an order to take an immediate Action. You cannot order a target to "do nothing," and they are free to take other Actions as they fulfill your request. Your command cannot be obviously self-destructive. The Effect ends if following your command would cause a target to cross one of their Limits in a way that would necessitate a Trauma roll.
Kyle doesn’t work with spells or surgeries.
He works with instinct, touch, and time —
rewriting flesh the same way a river carves stone.
When he chooses a target,
he draws close, crouching low,
his fursuit flexing and bristling in sympathy with the task ahead.
Clawed fingertips trail lightly over the target’s skin or fur — not cutting, not scarring —
feeling the hidden currents inside them.
Over the course of eight long hours,
Kyle coaxes new traits to the surface —
teaching the body to grow differently, to adapt, to awaken things buried in its own potential.
There is no anesthetic.
No clean break between who they were and who they become.
Every change leaves a mark on their soul —
a whisper in their blood that they are no longer entirely themselves.
When the process finishes,
the target rises not with stitches, but with new instincts stitched into their flesh.
Sharper claws.
A hidden pouch.
Armor-hard skin.
The ability to move faster, breathe underwater, or carry hidden tools within their bones.
It isn’t magic.
It isn’t technology.
It’s natural evolution —
sped up, focused, and delivered by Kyle’s own hands.
Exert your Mind and spend 30 minutes. Select a Living target within arm's reach. The target can easily Resist.
You may add one augmentation to your target. Each augmentation counts as a Battle Scar and can have exactly one of the following Effects:
The augmentations you provide are not outwardly visible nor obvious.
Mike marks the glasses with runes representing knowledge and revelation. He then looks through the lenses at the surrounding area, as they absorb trace energies from nearby sources of power or the traces left behind by beings who have passed through. At the end of a minute, the rune markings fade and "drain" backward from the lenses into Mike's eyes, imparting the knowledge of what they have absorbed and leaving behind an unmarked surface
After facing the storms, Mike was forced to confront his weakness in information gathering, and delved into studying ways to reveal hidden information. the quality of what he gleans is tied to how well the runes are drawn, as a crisp, superlative rune provides detailed information, so does a crude, deformed rune give a murkier view.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 500 feet You must actively and obviously use some type of eyeglasses to activate this Effect. At the end of your investigation, roll Dexterity + Crafts at Difficulty 6.
You learn a single specific piece of information, chosen from the following list, about the area:
You cannot investigate the same area more than once per day.
An implant was placed in Rasha's brain with which she can connect to devices, and like a rat worms into the system finding weaknesses and striking. Once under her mental control the devices do what she say.
Exert your Mind and spend 2 Actions to activate. Select a Device within 20 feet. Does not work on Alien technology. Roll Perception + Technology, with the Difficulty set by the GM depending on the security of the system you are hacking. Sapient targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6. The hacking roll and their defensive roll are both Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you may issue a single command to the targeted system. This command must have a specific outcome or be a request for specific login credentials. The command you issue must be within the machine's current capabilities. For example, you cannot order a standard security camera to grow legs and walk around.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is rapid movement of the eyes, as if looking at something else. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
If your command does not require bypassing the security of the target (for example, typing on a computer that is unlocked), you do not need to Exert your Mind to activate this Effect, and activation only takes a single Action.
After you finish activating this Effect, you cannot move quicker than a walk (max 15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour.
The user begins impulsively scratching their hands as if they have a tick. Their nails start being filled with dust that materalises on their palms and once it's completely scratched off the dust is carried by "the wind" and brought to the target. Exposure to the dust slowly makes the target drowsy before they drop unconscious on the spot.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. Select a Living target within 30 feet. Make a Trauma roll when you activate this Effect. Roll Intellect + Influence at Difficulty 6. Affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, your target becomes drowsy for the next 3 Rounds, during which time they suffer an additional -2 dice Penalty to all Actions. After this, they fall asleep for Outcome x 3 minutes.
Affected targets will not prematurely wake up on their own, and can only be awoken by taking Damage or nearing death from hunger, thirst, or suffocation.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is flecks of dust starting to materialize on your palms.. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Enervation.

The pyro points a laser pointer towards a target, and a cat-sized-and-shaped fire springs into life, very clearly attracted to the laser. This flame cat can also be shaped from existing fires. While the pointer is active it remains in the shape of a cat, pouncing towards the little red dot. When the laser pointer is not active, the flames return to normal.

The mad scientist produces thorium cores that can be used to upgrade tools and other devices. The core supercharges the item, increasing its quality and rendering it indestructible for a period. However, once the core runs dry, the object is rendered less useful than it was before. The core crackles with blue electricity while active.
Spend 1 Action and use up this glowing blue disk. Select a non-Alien Device within arm's reach. Cannot be used to improve Armor.
Lasts the next two hours. Your target receives 2 extra dice to all actions taken for its intended use. Attacking with an upgraded weapon grants +2 Weapon Damage instead of additional dice. While it is upgraded, the item cannot be destroyed.
After the Effect ends, any upgraded targets suffer a -2 dice penalty until they are either repaired or upgraded again.
The musician pours their heart and soul into their music, giving others some much needed perspective and solace and all around good vibes. This can be a temporary easing of the mind, but with prolonged music therapy it can even permanently cure psychic damage.

This Effect cannot be used unless you continuously play music for your target during the activation. Over the course of one Downtime, your patient must communicate with you and reveal at least one of their Traumas to you, including the details of those Traumas and the circumstances of how they were acquired. After the full treatment time has elapsed, roll Charisma + Performance at Difficulty 6.
Your target may Resist. If your treatment is successful, you may remove one of the patient's revealed Traumas without incurring any Experience cost.
Once per day per target, you may choose to use this Effect to stabilize the Mind of a target within arm's reach. Treatment takes 30 seconds but will not remove any Traumas. If you are successful, restore 2 Mind damage.
You may choose to use this Effect to temporarily relieve any number of the patient's Traumas (including mental Conditions). In this case, Treatment takes an Action and the effect lasts two hours. If the Patient is currently experiencing an episode, Difficulty is increased by 2.

You may use this Effect to Defend against any melee, projectile, or firearm Attacks within range or Clash against any Attack targeted at you. Using it to Defend deals no Damage but does not cost Exertion.
This Gift cannot have more than 3 Drawbacks, and its Gift Cost is capped at 2.
Come one, come all! Stand in amazement and behold as the Fire Eater consumes a flame as if it were cotton candy! Gasp with fright as they breathe a plume of fire a great distance! And yes, ladies and gentlemen, it is quite dangerous.

Select a target within 20 feet which has both fuel and oxygen available (if you are starting a new fire). Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you take a Severity-4 Injury as the fire burns your throat. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted.
You may start or extinguish a fire as large as a firepit's fire at your target. Extinguishing a fire does not cost Exertion. You may create or extinguish fires the size of a lighter or candle flame without Exerting your Mind. Your fires require fuel and oxygen in order to continue burning.
Lighting a target on fire deals 4 Damage each Round on your turn, starting in the Round after the one in which they caught fire. This Damage is reduced by Armor, but the target’s Armor rating will be shredded by any Damage dealt, destroying material Armor once it reaches 0.
