Nathan analyzes the complexion, bone structure, face, and palm of his target, calculating their past, present and future based off these characteristics. During this process, he may even ask for the hour, day, month, and year of birth of his target for additional guidance.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Select a Sapient target or a Creature within arm's reach. At the end of your investigation, roll Intellect + Occult at Difficulty 6.
You learn a single specific piece of information, chosen from the following list, about your target:
The quality and specificity of information gained depends on your Outcome.
You cannot investigate the same target more than once per day.
A little buddy made from whatever Digby can find laying around.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must use up Trash the size of the minion in order to activate this Effect.
Summon a single Non-Sapient, Animate ________ at your location. They last for two hours or until they are destroyed. They are controlled by the GM but will follow any commands you give. You may have at most one active at a time.
When a sledgehammer used to collapse small buildings is applied to bones, its namesake crackling effect is a common side effect.
Hardly supernatural in any observer's eyes but the beholder's, it's easy enough to mistake simply hitting something so much harder than in reality. That's not to say one isn't; but to send integral parts of buildings flying out with a hand tool over machines takes more than a bit of muscle mass. It is no surprise this same power can be applied to less-than-material targets.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in combat with Sledgehammer. You must actively and obviously be using Sledgehammer to gain the benefits of this Effect.
+2 dice to all rolls with Sledgehammer. You may Defend against firearm attacks from any range using Sledgehammer.
You also gain the following effects:
The user points the head of their staff at something, the target begins to emit purple waves of dim light. Without needing to touch or be near things, the user can move objects and creatures with his mind.
You gain the following benefits at all times. You must actively and obviously be using a staff like object to gain the benefits of this Effect.
As long as you maintain Concentration, you can take Actions and interact with things that are within 75 feet without needing to physically touch them or be near them. Any rolls made for Actions taken in this way use a Mental Strength of 2 in place of your Brawn rating, a Mental Agility of 2 in place of your Dexterity, and otherwise use your own Attributes and Abilities.
Telekinetic actions have the following restrictions and behaviors:
With the focus of an experience marksman, Buck focuses his mind eyes on the target. Whether he wants them down or dead, that’s well within his skill to do so.
Cowboy Guns: revolvers (ex. Colt Army/Walker, etc.), rifles (ex. Winchester, etc.), shotguns. Typically guns made before the 19th century and therefore no semi-automatics, etc. This does not include sniper rifles which while made before the 19th century, didn't gain popularity until after the 19th century during WW1. So no, sniper rifles are not a cowboy gun.
You gain the following benefits as long as engaged in combat with cowboy guns.
+2 dice to all cowboy guns rolls.
You also gain the following effects:
To be one with nature, one must evolve to be built for it, to be prepared for each facet of it. So her eyes are sharper, her hearing is clearer, and she is more suited to the cold, a speaker and more quieter form, a body designed to remain unnoticed when seen...
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You are permanently and visibly transformed: Longer ears, Sharper eyes, longer and thicker eyebrows and eyelashes and small tufts of fur on each ear. You are considered to be a Sapient, Living being when targeted. Your Dexterity is increased by 1 and your Intellect is increased by 1.
Your body is adapted to Stealth and Sight. You receive +3 dice on non-attack rolls related to Stealth and Sight.
You are immune to damage from cold. If cold is a substantial component of other damage you would take (e.g. falling from a great distance into a vat of liquid nitrogen), that damage is reduced by 2 (in addition to Armor)
Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Shoulder Subluxation.
The Severity of any Injury caused by Cold Iron is increased by 2.
The survivalist spends a moment setting up a makeshift booby trap. The tripwires and pressure plates are so expertly hidden, they can only be noticed by those who have fallen victim to them before.
The victim is hit with a tiny curare dart. Pain wracks their body as a potent neurotoxin spreads through their veins.
Exert your Mind and spend 30 seconds to trap a region of any shape that contains your current location and fits entirely within 300 feet. This trap lasts one day or until triggered or disarmed. You must use up a dart in order to activate this Effect. Roll Intellect + Survival Difficulty 6.
The trap looks like a tripwire, a pressure plate, or a hidden switch. Only those who have seen this trap before can identify it as a trap. Anyone who is aware of the trap may intuitively avoid, trigger, or destroy it.
Any Living target that enters the chosen region will trigger the trap. The target may contest by rolling Body, Difficulty 6.
If the Contested Outcome is positive, the target takes that much Damage plus 2. The target's Armor is completely ignored.
The target suffers a -3 dice penalty for the next hour or until the Injury is healed. This dice penalty does not stack multiple times on the same target.
Instead of dealing Damage all at once, the Injury caused by this Power starts at Severity 1 and worsens at the rate of one level per Round until it reaches the Severity it would have otherwise been.
The creature's claws rip through the poor, defenseless doctor's coat, opening deep gashes in their gut. It bares its fangs to lunge for the killing blow, but the doctor looks up at the attacker. Their eyes filed not with utter terror at their imminent demise, only a look of disappointment and pity. Touched, the monster hesitates. . .
This Effect activates whenever you receive a Severity 2 or higher Injury from an attack. It does not require an Action or Exertion. Select a Living target within 45 feet. Your target should be intuitively based on the triggering event. Roll Charisma + Influence at Difficulty 6. Affected targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, for the next minute, your target will do things they otherwise wouldn’t have done, inspired by remorse for hurting such a pure soul. They will not necessarily display their emotions in an obvious way.
Actions they take will be in keeping with their character and the way they tend to deal with strong emotions. They will be unlikely to change their mind about any actions taken or decisions made until after the Effect ends.
The werewolf unleashes their inner beast, transforming into an imposing hybrid of human and wolf. Their head reforms into that of a wolf, robbing them of speech but bestowing a maw of deadly fangs. Grey fur sprouts from their body as it swells with muscle, ripping any tight-fitting clothes. While transformed, the werewolf is impulsive and driven more by instinct than logic.
If The Werewolf is struck my moonlight, they are compelled to transform.
Exert your Mind and spend a Quick Action.
You transform into a werewolf for 3 minutes. You have access to all of your Powers while you are a werewolf, and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. Reverting from your Alternate Form cannot cause your existing Injuries to kill you. Instead, you remain Incapacitated.
While transformed, your Brawn is increased by 2 and your Dexterity is increased by 2. You do not suffer any Stress while transformed.
Your alternate form is its own deadly weapon. Unarmed attacks made in your alternate form deal +3 Weapon Damage (instead of the typical -1).
Your alternate form renders you unable to speak any human language and incapable of fine object manipulation. You can only hold or grasp objects in a crude, clumsy way.
After this Effect ends, you cannot move quicker than a walk (15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour.
While transformed, you automatically fail any Mind roll to resist an impulse and suffer -3 dice on all other Mind rolls.
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Whenever you are struck by the light of a full or gibbous moon, you must roll Self-Control to resist transforming. Triggers a max of once per night.
Nature is the beastmaster's domain. While in the wilds, they can climb trees and cliffs with ease and dash through dense underbrush that anyone else would need a machete to navigate.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You may move easily and without a roll in any of the following situations.
You only gain the benefits of this effect if you are in an area without a human building within 300 feet.
The Necromancer stands over a corpse and makes a series of grandiose lifting gestures. The corpse rises from the ground as though suspended by invisible strings, barks a pained groan, and lands on its feet, now a full-fledged member of the living dead.
Increase your sacrificial Injury's Severity by 1 and spend an Action. You must use up corpse in order to activate this Effect.
Summon up to 3 Non-Sapient, Animate zombie at your location. They last for two hours or until they are destroyed. They are controlled by the GM but will follow any commands you give. You may have at most 3 minions active at a time.
You may end this Effect prematurely as a Free Action.
If you do not have a sacrificial Injury when you activate this Effect, take a new Severity-1 Injury.
