Description

Ellis's miracles have expanded into the treatment and curing of poisons and diseases. To do so, however, he requires a ceremonial dedication (or often re-dedication) to the service of God. This takes one minute, during which Ellis and the patient pray together and Ellis performs some ritualistic bloodletting with Esperachius. The bloodletting wounds burn with holy, golden fire, attacking the sinful disease or poison and expelling it from the body.

System

Exert your Mind and spend 1 Minute treating your patient. You may cure any diseases, poisons, etc, the target has, even if they don't have an existing mundane cure, and don't require a full diagnosis to do so. The disease or poison cannot be supernatural in nature. Must be within Arm's Reach of your target. The target must willingly submit to ritual bloodletting done by a blessed ceremonial dagger, causing a 1 point Injury to them, as well as engage in a minute of prayer.


Enhancements

  • Witch Doctor (You may cure supernatural diseases or poisons provided you have studied them and have a basic understanding of how they work)
  • Broad Strokes (You do not require a full diagnosis to treat an eligible disease.)
  • Full Treatment (You can cure any number of diagnosed diseases with a single application.)
  • Miracle Worker (You may cure diseases and poisons which cannot be treated by modern medicine.)

Drawbacks

  • Mage (Activating this Effect requires two consecutive Actions of Concentration. It involves intricate use of the body and voice. If interrupted during activation, the Effect fails. It is obvious you are preparing to activate an Effect during casting.)
    • Activation Ritual - Kneeling in prayer and then ritual bloodletting up and down both arms
  • Bloodletting (Your target takes a Severity 1 Injury.)
  • Unique Focus (This Power takes the form of a specific, unique item, which can be borrowed, lost, or stolen. You must use / wear this item as intended to use this Power.)
