Tin Foil Hats "You're not Crazy if they really are out to get ya!"
No one fashions a Tin Foil Hat like Old Man Murdock! Has bits of Oregonite in there too, don't-ya-know??? Typically a straw cowboy hat, but other models are possible.
Conspiracy Theorist: Every time you are told a Conspiracy Theory, you must make a Trauma roll to not believe it implicitly. Effect persists up to a month after removing the hat.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact.
You get +2 dice to any Mind resistance rolls you make. You also gain the following effects:
- Compartmentalizing: You can take a maximum of 1 Mind Damage per Round.
- Instant Karma: If the Outcome of your Mind resistance roll is greater than the attacker’s Outcome, you may reflect the attack back at them, or to another valid target within an appropriate distance.
- Naturally Resistant: Any time you make a Mind resistance roll, the individual who you are resisting must Exert their Mind, or your resistance succeeds automatically.
Possession of this Artifact causes the following Trauma to manifest over the course of a day: Conspiracy Theorist. If you lose possession of this Artifact, the Trauma heals over the course of the next month.
- These bonuses apply only to Mind rolls made to resist Effects and other supernatural phenomena. They do not apply to Trauma rolls or self-control rolls.

OWL - The Occult Wildlife Landing
The Occult Wildlife Landing (OWL) is a nonprofit organization that advocates for the rights of supernatural creatures to live a life unmolested by humanity’s relentless spread and greed.
While OWL has become the de-facto head of the conservationist movement in the United States, many claim it’s not as innocent as it appears. A number of small, seemingly-disconnected terrorist cells wear the OWL insignia with pride. These groups– which tend to contain a disproportionate number of supernatural creatures and beings– commit high-profile acts of public violence with the intent of furthering OWL’s core objectives. In the past, they’ve blown up oil pipelines, stopped development projects, and even infected congregations of people with mutagenic viruses.
OWL denies any involvement with these so-called “OWL-inspired terrorist organizations” (or OITOs for short). However, many people conflate the two and consider OWL itself to be a terrorist organization.
One thing is for certain: when OWL sends a blast to its followers urging protest, they’re taken seriously.

- Reveal Yourself To Me: If you succeed on a Mind resistance roll, you understand who was targeting you and what the intended effect was.
Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Disfigured.
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Delusions of Grandeur.

There really is no outward effect. Anyone who attempts to push past this mind shield and fails feels a sense of embarrassment for poking into a coworker's personal business.

- Naturally Resistant: Any time you make a Mind resistance roll, the individual who you are resisting must Exert their Mind, or your resistance succeeds automatically.
- These bonuses apply only to Mind rolls made to resist Effects and other supernatural phenomena. They do not apply to Trauma rolls or self-control rolls.

- Been There, Done That: If you succeed a Mind resistance roll, subsequent attempts to use that same Gift or supernatural ability on you for the next day will fail.
- Force of Will: You may Exert your Mind to increase the Outcome of a Mind resistance roll by 2.
- These bonuses apply only to Mind rolls made to resist Effects and other supernatural phenomena. They do not apply to Trauma rolls or self-control rolls.

- Clash Of Wills: If you fail to fully resist an Effect, your Outcome is considered to be 0.
- These bonuses apply only to Mind rolls made to resist Effects and other supernatural phenomena. They do not apply to Trauma rolls or self-control rolls.
