Tesla's Storm "prepare for the full might of the eureka effect

1
The power to grievously injure a target.
Used by Gareth Markson, Created by dingupingus.
(When activating this Effect, it is obvious you are attacking the target. )

Gareth's head begins to spark and crackle with energy and suddenly a burst of lightning flashes out from his temple

one night while reading Nickola Tesla's biography on a park bench, Gareth noticed a strange cloud forming above his head that suddenly flashed a mighty bolt of lighting down upon him. The bench he was sitting on and the grass around him were blown away only leaving him and his book unscathed. ever since that night Gareth found he was able to call on the might of that electrical current. Strangely Gareth found that along with this new found power, he also grew a major fear of anything that may be considered unsanitary

Community Power Gifts

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select two Sapient targets within arm's reach. You must use up a vial of blood or tissue sample from target in order to activate this Effect. If a target does not consent to the transfer, you must roll Int+Medicine at Difficulty 6 to use the effect on them. They can resist by rolling either Body or Mind at Difficulty 6, depending on what you are attempting to transfer to them.

You may choose a single instance of one of the following to transfer between your two targets:

  • A single Injury and any Battle Scars it caused
This Effect cannot be used again on the same target for the next hour.

Whenever you transfer an Injury, it's Severity increases by 1. Whenever you transfer Mind damage or Traumas, the recipient takes an additional Mind damage.

Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: When stabilizing an injury on another person, roll mind and if you fail you become convinced you have the injury too (gaining 1 point of stress).

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

Exert your Mind and spend a Quick Action.

You transform into Fever Mode for 3 minutes. You have access to all of your Powers while you are Fever Mode, and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. Reverting from your Alternate Form cannot cause your existing Injuries to kill you. Instead, you remain Incapacitated.

While transformed, your Attributes are the same. You do not suffer any Stress while transformed.

Your body is adapted to Singing/Rapping. You receive +3 dice on non-attack rolls related to Singing/Rapping.

Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Backing track - Anytime you are forced into a situation where music is not playing, roll self control to resist the urge to begin humming.

If you become Incapacitated or suffer an Injury Severity 4 or greater, you revert from your Alternate form.

  • Attribute bonuses from multiple sources do not stack. Instead the highest bonus is used.

You gain the following benefits as long as you have your casting wand (low quality).

Your Brawn rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Brawn (cannot be used on combat rolls or Effect activations).

If you are witnessed actively using this Effect, whoever sees it can make a Perception + Alertness roll at Difficulty 6. A complete success reveals the source of your power.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Tough: Half your Brawn acts as Armor against all incoming sources of damage.

  • If your casting wand (low quality) is damaged, destroyed, or lost, you lose all benefits from this Effect for the next two months, or until you can recover any relevant missing items (which may involve a side-game and requires a GM to approve whatever process is used).

Spend an Action. Select a target within 300 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless Gun must be pistol. You must actively and obviously use Gun to activate this Effect. Roll Charisma + Firearms Difficulty 6. The target may contest by rolling to Dodge or Defend as a Reaction, Difficulty 6.

If the Contested Outcome is positive, the target takes that much Damage plus 4.

This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

This gift, born from the remnants of José Ramos legacy, is a marvel of modern science intertwined with the unpredictable beauty of biological mutation. This power, though divergent from José’s, allows the wielder to mold flesh and bone at will, sculpting the human form into a living testament of adaptability and evolution.

When the serum courses through the veins, it whispers secrets of potentiality, enabling the user to alter their physical form with precision and purpose. Claws can spring from fingertips, mobility can be enhanced to superhuman levels, and limbs can morph into versatile tools, each mutation a symphony of biological artistry. Once the need for transformation ends, the limb gracefully returns to its original form, leaving no trace of the extraordinary metamorphosis it underwent.

Exert your Mind and spend 30 minutes. Select a Living target within arm's reach. The target can easily Resist.

You may add one augmentation to your target. Each augmentation counts as a Battle Scar and can have exactly one of the following Effects:

  • Specialized: You receive +2 dice to a particular non-combat Action.
  • Environmental Adaptation: You do not suffer harm from heat, cold, pressure, or lack of oxygen in a particular environment, provided that challenge normally exists in that environment.
  • Implanted Tool: You have access to the functionality of some common Device at all times. The selected Device can be no larger than a motorcycle helmet.
  • Armor: You have 2 Armor at all times. As always, Armor from multiple sources does not stack.
  • Pouch: Part of your body functions as a hidden pocket. It can hold no more than a briefcase (15 liters).
  • Zippy: Your Free Movement is increased by 10 feet.
  • Maws and Claws: Your unarmed attacks do +2 Weapon Damage instead of -1.

The augmentations you provide are not outwardly visible nor obvious.

Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see the surgery to give a mutation must be done without any anesthesia and it’s a really bloody and messy procedure.

Your alteration "heals" over the course of the next month, after which it is fully cured.

  • When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.
  • Remember: A Contractor’s Body rating is reduced by 1 for each Battle Scar after their fourth.
  • You may not augment targets with pouches or implanted devices that are larger than they are.
  • Targets without Body ratings may have a maximum of 4 augmentations.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

Exert your Mind and spend 1 minute. Select a Living target within arm's reach. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. Your target must make a Trauma roll when you activate this Effect. Choose a specific Injury on your target that has not yet been treated with this Effect and roll Charisma + Medicine at Difficulty 6.

If you succeed, the Injury is reduced in Severity by your Outcome. If you reduce its Severity to 0, the Injury is fully healed. Otherwise, it is partially healed and will heal the rest of the way at its natural rate.

This counts as a successful Makeshift Stabilization if the Injury was not already Stabilized; any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will remain.

  • Unstabilized wounds do not degenerate during treatment.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

Exert your Mind and spend two Actions performing the following ritual: perform a fire-breathing trick. Select a target within 20 feet which has both fuel and oxygen available (if you are starting a new fire). Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you take a Severity-4 Injury as the fire burns your throat. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted.

You may start or extinguish a fire as large as a fire in a residential fireplace at your target. You may create or extinguish fires the size of a lighter or candle flame without Exerting your Mind. Your fires require fuel and oxygen in order to continue burning.

Lighting a target on fire deals 3 Damage each Round on your turn, starting in the Round after the one in which they caught fire. This Damage is reduced by Armor, but the target’s Armor rating will be depleted by any Damage dealt, destroying the Armor once it reaches 0.

You may extinguish flames as a Reaction. This does not extend to explosives.

  • Someone may attempt to extinguish a fire that you started by spending an Action and rolling Dexterity + Athletics. An Outcome of 3 puts out the fire
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

  • Body: Minions have 6 Body.

  • Intelligence: Minions have dog-level intelligence, and cannot communicate back to you. They may use equipment.

  • You can fabricate a container of something so long as it contains a single type of thing (such as a tank of water) or it is designed to be packaged together (such as a first aid kit).
