Legacy Power: Faster than a Bolt

At the time where everything you loved once died, at the time when it was a matter of life and death, you ran faster than any human could for your life. You couldn’t run as fast ever after nor awaken your power, yet you were gifted by the harbinger to awaken your hidden potential, this is when you woke up one day to see 2d shadowy hands extending in thin air trying to grab your legs but are unable to interact with you. You were scared at first as you hypothesized that those are the hands of those who were killed while you ran during the annihilation of your hometown. But as days passed by, you realized that those shadowy hands aren’t dangerous yet they attract much attention, thus you started wearing a black robe to try to cover them in public, yet at some times they are visible even through the robe as they can go through hard services as if they don’t exist in this plain of existence.

Description

Have you even ran for your life? Didn’t stop nor looked back? It is at those times you break through your shallow limits and start running at a monstrous speed! Your speed os tripled in an instant, and you run! run! run! It used to be just at the moments of need, but now you have awakened the power to control it consciously.

System

Spend an Action and Exert your Mind. You can run [[speed-multiplier]] your normal speed for 1 Minute. Any penalty from Encumbrance still applies.

While this Power is active, you do not suffer any sort of exhaustion. Avoiding unexpected obstacles requires a Dexterity + Athletics roll.

Enhancements

  • Parkour (Your super speed affects all kinds of movement, not just running, and you may ignore small obstacles.)
  • Battery-operated (Instead of Exerting Mind to activate this Power, it has its own 3-point Source pool. The Source regenerates at the rate of one point per day and cannot be raised with Experience.)

Drawbacks

  • Tunnel Vision (While this Effect is active, you are at -2 dice to all Actions and cannot Concentrate.)
  • Monstrous (Possessing this Power causes a mutation that elicits a strong, negative social response from the average person in your setting. The mutation is visible even if you are wearing long sleeves, pants, and shoes. Maximum one per Contractor.)
    • Mutation - legs until knee has black hands (check flavor)
