Corpse Consumption Because one with what you reap

1
The power to heal wounds.

(You are obviously treating your target for the entire cast time. You must actively and obviously be using up One pound of flesh or meat per severity of the injury..)

Another job, another life threatening injury. The arm was only a temporary fix. She needed a permanent fix to these scars. So she took a possessed woman’s eye, dark and brown like a bar of chocolate. Luckily it was a good eye even though it was a little beat up. She wouldn’t be using it much more, she had already passed. Maybe it could be used to do some good.
So she has an eye. So what? But it’s not just the eye. She can use any of the freshly dead to help herself heal. Repair what has been destroyed.

Exert your Mind and spend 1 minute to activate. Select a Living target within arm's reach. You must use up One pound of flesh or meat per severity of the injury. in order to activate this Effect. Choose a specific Injury on your target that has not yet been treated with this Effect and roll Intellect + Medicine at Difficulty 8.

If you succeed, the Injury is reduced in Severity by your Outcome. If you reduce its Severity to 0, the Injury is fully healed. Otherwise, it is partially healed and will heal the rest of the way at its natural rate.

This counts as a successful Makeshift Stabilization if the Injury was not already Stabilized; any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will remain.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

Community Power Gifts

Exert your Mind (unless you win a coin flip) and spend an Action. Select a target within 45 feet. Roll Brawn + Athletics Difficulty 6. The target may contest by rolling to Dodge or Defend as a Reaction, Difficulty 6.

If the contested Outcome is positive, the target takes that much Damage plus 4. Armor is reduced to 1/2, rounded down against this damage.

If the target receives an Injury, they are knocked back 5 * Severity feet.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

You gain the following benefits at all times.

All Stabilizations you attempt are considered Proper Stabilizations.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Gifted: You get +3 dice on any rolls related to medical care as long as helping someone else.
  • Perfect Dosage: When dosing a creature, you can intuitively control the dose based on desired effect. Dosages do not have to be carefully measured and prepared ahead of time. The full dose (syringe, pill, etc) is still used up.
  • Sterile: Sanitary conditions no longer matter during medical care. Your patients will never suffer an infection or toxic shock during treatment, even if you are performing surgery in a sewer. You may preserve harvested body parts indefinitely.
  • Surgeon Extraordinaire: You may perform any mundane surgery without inflicting or worsening an Injury, and recovery time is reduced to an hour.

  • Pursuant to the drug rules, all drugs take a minimum time to take effect, depending on the method of dosing.
  • All stabilizations being proper stabilizations applies to stabilizations from other Effects such as Heal Wound.

Freya's internals are incomplete. Her motherboard has space for several other attachments, parts of her limbs are hollow, clearly meant to house additional tools and modules. Currently, all of this sits unused, but Freya is quite literally filled with potential, should she ever have the opportunity to utilize it.

Her body is largely based on a human's, mimicing its needs so that when she was eventually completed and utilized in the field, logistics would not need to build around non-uniform needs. (This is largely false. An exuse employed by Freya's creator to buy herself time to perfect the model's energy systems. Although it led to break throughs in biofuel refining, it was not the end goal.)

The only need Freya does not share with humans is sleep, but she *does* require around eight hours of charging a night. Her battery is capable of lasting longer by entering a progressively more restrictive low power mode, before eventually forcibly locking down and deploying solar panels built into her shoulders. Her prefered method of charging is plugging into her specially crafted charging dock, but in a pinch she can plug straight into a wall or utilize the aforementioned set of collapsible solar panels in her shoulders.

Freya has the ability to record what she hears and play it back freely, thanks to her vocal synthizier. Though, to do so she has to pass a forgetful roll.

You gain the following benefits at all times.

You are permanently and visibly transformed: an vaugely human android. You are considered to be a Sapient, Non-Living Computer when targeted. Your Perception is increased by 1 and your Intellect is increased by 1.

Your Injuries no longer degrade with time. You do not age naturally, and supernatural attempts to age you fail.

You cannot ignore or decrease the effects of Stress for any social rolls you make.

The Severity of any Injury caused by Electricity is increased by 2.

  • You must still perform some equivalent of eating, sleeping, and drinking unless other Effects allow you to ignore that requirement.
  • The increase in Injury Severity stacks with any similar effects, such as the Silver Bullets drawback on Regeneration.
  • Attribute bonuses from multiple sources do not stack. Instead the highest bonus is used.

While David may have acquired many of his other abilities through research, this one he acquired through willpower. When he died, Vance decided he had too much on the line to pass away, and he clawed his way back from the Beyond itself to keep up the fight.

You gain the following benefits at all times.

If you would take an Injury that would kill you, you don’t die. Instead, you survive in an Incapacitated state, though you appear dead to any means of detecting life. This state lasts for the next hour, at which point you fully return to life.

If, while you are unconscious, your wound level rises above your rating in Body + Brawn, or if you take an Injury with Severity greater than your rating in Brawn, you die. After you return, the Injury that would have killed you, as well as any Injuries sustained while Incapacitated, are healed. Battle scars obtained during this time remain.

You gain the following benefits at all times.

Your Body Penalty is reduced to 0. Does not reduce Mind Penalty.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must actively and obviously use a broom to activate this Effect. This Effect remains active for two hours.

As long as you are conscious, you are immune to falling Damage and may hover in place mid-air. Additionally, you may glide as you fall, traveling 35 feet horizontally for every 10 feet you fall. While gliding, you fall at a minimum speed of 10 feet per Round.

You may ascend into the air and fly using your mind. Your Free Movement is Mind x5 feet/Round, including vertically. You cannot Dash. When sprinting, roll Mind and add your rating in Mind plus 1 to the outcome, multiply by 5 to find your sprint speed. Your encumbrance limit is 10 lbs per point of Mind.

You are subject to the following effects while gliding or flying:

  • Evasive Maneuvers: During your turn, if you moved mostly through the air but traveled less than your Free Movement, all attacks against you are at a -2 dice penalty until your next turn.
  • Earthbound: You cannot fly or glide in an atmosphere thin enough to be unbreathable.
  • Weight-Limited: This Effect is suppressed any time you are over-encumbered.

  • Any penalties to dice or movement, including from Encumbrance, are applied as normal. If your movement is reduced to 0 due to encumbrance, you will begin to sink down to the ground.
  • You may activate this Effect while in midair, allowing you to slow and survive any free fall.

Increase your sacrificial Injury's Severity by 1 and spend one minute. Select a Dead target within arm's reach that has died within the last hour. This Effect cannot be used unless you drained the target's blood while they were still alive.

Your target rises as an Animate being. The raised creature is totally mindless, with no memory of its past life or hint of its old personality. They cannot communicate. They will follow any command you speak.

The creature lasts until it dies again. It is revived at full health. Any Injuries it had in life are not accounted for when determining its penalties or progression towards re-death, though they may affect its ability to perform certain actions at GM's discretion. The raised creature must consume flesh every day or it will die again.

Raised creatures have their Abilities set to the same that they were in life. Their Charisma and Intellect are set to 1, but their Dexterity, Brawn and Perception are the same as they had in life. A raised creature cannot use any Effects.

Your revived targets deal 2 Weapon Damage with their unarmed attacks.

If you do not have a sacrificial Injury when you activate this Effect, take a new Severity-1 Injury.

  • The creature will die at the end of any 24 hour period gone without consuming their specified diet, and it is important that this growing desperation is reflected in how they are roleplayed.
  • The sacrificial Injury received from activating this Effect cannot be prevented by any means or healed before 1 day has passed. It is shared with all Effects that use sacrifice. This Injury does not requires Stabilization or cause Battle Scars when it becomes Severe.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.
