Mikey is able to stay acutely aware of his surroundings even in tumultuous situations. His ears are able to distinguish a whisper coming from a cacophony.
As long as Mikey can see something clearly he can tell what sounds it makes even if the sound waves don’t reach him. His mind fills in the gaps, subconsciously reading what sounds are made from the subtle movements of the object.
Mikey's earing are able to vibrate at frequencies to cancel out damagingly loud sounds and to pitch other sounds to one he can pick up.
You gain the following benefits at all times. You must actively and obviously be using Earings to gain the benefits of this Effect.
Your senses are enhanced in the following way.
- Hearing: You may hear sounds of sub- and hyper-sonic frequencies, allowing you to hear tiny things (mice, insects, etc) better, and pick up on the vibrations of massive things (earthquakes, atmospheric disruptions, etc) long before others.
Any senses which have been heightened cannot be overloaded. Any Effects or supernatural abilities which would suppress one of these senses are rolled at +2 difficulty.
- Examples of overloading a sense include: an explosion causing temporary deafness, a bright light causing blindness, a sedative causing numbness, etc.

OWL - The Occult Wildlife Landing
The Occult Wildlife Landing (OWL) is a nonprofit organization that advocates for the rights of supernatural creatures to live a life unmolested by humanity’s relentless spread and greed.
While OWL has become the de-facto head of the conservationist movement in the United States, many claim it’s not as innocent as it appears. A number of small, seemingly-disconnected terrorist cells wear the OWL insignia with pride. These groups– which tend to contain a disproportionate number of supernatural creatures and beings– commit high-profile acts of public violence with the intent of furthering OWL’s core objectives. In the past, they’ve blown up oil pipelines, stopped development projects, and even infected congregations of people with mutagenic viruses.
OWL denies any involvement with these so-called “OWL-inspired terrorist organizations” (or OITOs for short). However, many people conflate the two and consider OWL itself to be a terrorist organization.
One thing is for certain: when OWL sends a blast to its followers urging protest, they’re taken seriously.

Angel's mind is cracked like a dropped snow globe, steadily, slowly leaking, a shell of wonder still swirling with glitter and blood. His paranoia of rats in the walls and the insatiable hunger he's developed make him hypervigilant- enough that his Gift has manifested in kind. He twitches, curls his lip, and snaps his head to the noise of interest like the neophobic rodent he holds such deep hatred for.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Your senses are enhanced in the following way.

Trace_Route
Tiny electronic robots emerge from the ring and burrow under the users skin. They crawl along under the dermis creating quickly moving bulges that travel into the users fingers, down their hand, past their wrist, and into the forearm before ballooning outward and spreading all over the body. The feels like their nerves are on fire as the tiny insects crawl along the internals of the body before finally arriving at the nerve receptors for the eyes and nose respectively. Once at the eye the user would see their tiny legs begin to snake into the their vision from the periphery. The nanite needs the eye to be looking forward so as the cornea moves to the side to see the legs they retract while legs on the opposite side continue to snake forward. Once the eye is stationary enough the bug legs lock it into place and another nanite crawls from the back of the eye and enlarges over the cornea. Once in place it's tiny legs inject past the cornea and into the optic nerve behind it. Afterwards the user sees a thin HUD outline of what the other nanites have already found relayed back to the user. As for the nose once the nanites are in place at the nerve ending the user would have a sudden drop where they couldn't smell anything for a few seconds followed by the smell of metal and burning plastic for a bit, then the new senses would be online. The nasal cavities become filled with tiny nanites buzzing and humming from inside.
Tiny nanomachines begin to pour out of the ring and skitter around the user in an outwardly growing sphere. They burrow into floors, walls, roofs and doors and continue to move unnoticed with the user for the duration of the ability before dissolving. While active the bots scout slightly ahead and ping back information to the ring that they emerged from, mainly focusing on electronic items but also recording interesting smells and cataloguing them for investigation.
Expend a point of Battery and spend an Action. This Effect cannot be used unless Nanites require area with active power or enough to last them the duration of the ability(at minimum car battery).
Your senses are enhanced in the following way. Lasts for three hours.
- Smell: Your nose is highly sensitive and can differentiate between scents the way a dog can, as well as recognize things you have smelled before.
- Electroreception: You may detect electromagnetic fields, electric currents, and even neurological activity in a 50 foot radius from yourself at all times. When detecting neurological activity, you learn nothing but the creature's rough size.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see Cornea HUD, Nose Hive..
- When you are within 50 feet of range, your electroreception sense is sufficient for aiming.
- When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.
Aware of the world

- Hearing: You automatically know the origin location of any sound you hear, and you can tell which Action caused the sound.
Any senses which have been heightened cannot be overloaded. Battle Scars you receive cannot affect these senses.
- Examples of overloading a sense include: an explosion causing temporary deafness, a bright light causing blindness, a sedative causing numbness, etc.
- Your microscopic vision requires a close look at a very small, specific area to use. It does not grant increased distance vision, it simply provides a higher resolution, allowing you to see finer and finer detail.
Visor
The visor has several visual sensors built into it.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact.
Your senses are enhanced in the following way.
- Sight: You can see perfectly in dark and even pitch-black environments. You suffer no dice penalty due to darkness.
- Thermal: You are able to "see" heat signatures within your line of sight.
Any senses which have been heightened cannot be overloaded. Battle Scars you receive cannot affect these senses.
- Examples of overloading a sense include: an explosion causing temporary deafness, a bright light causing blindness, a sedative causing numbness, etc.
- Your thermal vision allows you to judge temperatures of surfaces fairly accurately as long as they are within livable temperatures.
Gaea's Blessing (Sense)
Those touched by Gaea are imbued with extra senses, but are also marked physically as her champions.
The bearer of Gaea's Blessing has the ability to see in the dark and have enhanced hearing. My ears are now pointed and my eyes are yellow and slitted.
Gaea's Blessings comes in many forms. This particular version is intended to allow her chosen champion to feel equally comfortable fighting for her at night as they would in the day. The bearer of this blessing is granted the enhanced senses of an Apex Predator.
