This Artifact grants you supernatural skill with Shortbows.
Used by Louis Dupont, Created by leonvanderblight.
On Legendary Artifact Hunter's Pendant.
( You must wear or wield this Artifact plainly to receive these benefits.)

It turns out that in honoring his kills, and in ensuring that every part of them is put to use that Louis has gained the attention of some people who are interested in ensuring that his bowmanship reaches peaks suitable for hunting his new favored prey. The pendant in question one found within his home on returning from a job involving hunting snakes, though Louis was unawares of the mythological connection he was still glad of the boon when he found that it solved the rather irritating problem of being out shot by a brony mid mission.

You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact and engaged in combat with Shortbows.

Your attacks with Shortbows have their base Difficulty set to 6, are no longer limited by your Brawn, and deal +3 Bonus Damage. Armor is reduced to 1/2, rounded up against this damage. Reloading is considered a Free Action.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Bullet Parry: You may React to and Defend against firearms and other projectiles with Shortbows.
  • Your arrows are treated as Firearms when determining how they can be Reacted to.
  • Hail Storm: You may Exert your Mind to make an attack with Shortbows against all targets within a 120 degree arc in front of you. Your full attack Outcome applies to each of them, but they may attempt to Dodge or Defend if they are aware of the attack.

  • Reminder: Bonus Damage stacks with Weapon Damage, but does not stack with any other Bonus Damage. Instead, the highest Bonus Damage is used.

Community Archery Mastery Gifts

You gain the following benefits as long as engaged in combat with bows.

You receive +2 dice to all rolls using bows. Reloading is considered a Free Action.

You also gain the following effects:

  • All-Terrain Archer: Your attacks made with bows never suffer penalties due to movement or environmental conditions. This includes sprinting, climbing, firing in the rain, etc.
  • Hail Storm: You may Exert your Mind to make an attack with bows against all targets within a 120 degree arc in front of you. Your full attack Outcome applies to each of them, but they may attempt to Dodge or Defend if they are aware of the attack.

You gain the following benefits as long as engaged in combat with Bows.

You receive +2 dice to all rolls using Bows. Reloading is considered a Free Action.

You also gain the following effects:

  • All-Terrain Archer: Your attacks made with Bows never suffer penalties due to movement or environmental conditions. This includes sprinting, climbing, firing in the rain, etc.
  • Finesse: You may limit the Severity of any Injury you inflict or determine a maximum Wound Level to inflict on the target, including Incapacitated. You may also choose to make this Injury properly or improperly stabilized, or to keep it unstabilized.

You gain the following benefits as long as engaged in combat with Fishing equipment.

You receive +2 dice to all rolls using Fishing equipment. Reloading is considered a Free Action.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Bullet Parry: You may use a Reaction to Defend against any Melee, thrown, or projectile Attack in range of your Attacks.
  • Pincushion: Any attack or Effect activation roll against a target that already has one of your projectiles stuck into them is rolled at -1 Difficulty.

You gain the following benefits as long as engaged in combat with Bows.

You receive +2 dice to all rolls using Bows. Reloading is considered a Free Action.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Bullet Parry: You may use a Reaction to Defend against any Melee, thrown, or projectile Attack in range of your Attacks.
  • Bullseye: If you are not making an attack or activating an Effect, any projectile you fire will be considered a complete success without needing to make a roll.

Stock Archery Mastery Gifts

You gain the following benefits as long as engaged in combat with wooden longbows.

You receive +2 dice to all rolls using wooden longbows. Reloading is a Free Action, and drawing your weapon does not require a Quick Action as long as it is on your person.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Bullet Parry: You may use a Reaction to Defend against any Melee, thrown, or projectile Attack in range of your Attacks.
  • Bullseye: If you are not making an attack or activating an Effect, any projectile you fire will be considered a complete success without needing to make a roll.
