Jake tensed his body just as he was once instructed... before an overwhelming pain coursed through his body, feeling like he was burning alive from the inside out. He couldn't help but scream as he felt his back start to swell like a balloon, his skin darkening substantially as he held his head. He coughed up blood and bile as his arms began to unfold and expand, his skin growing soft and malleable - then the true horror began.
His body would swell and shrink, swell and shrink, like a mix between a bubble and a lung... And it kept growing. Eventually, it grew until it was twice his original size before unfolding into an array of flesh, bone, and blood, dancing and layering on itself as it took on a new, terrible form: his head was longer, like the Xenomorph if half of the back of its head was missing. His jaw opened and fell slack, easily going past a foot in length. His back was heavily arched into a slouching position as it looked incredibly swollen, spines protruding at random points from it as it's spine extended out before slowly retracting back in. Then there were his limbs... His arms were thin yet layered with muscle while his legs were spindly and long, his feet and hands now reduced to bone talons and claws respectively. Instead of a cry of pain, it let out a series of wet clicks before it's throat opened to reveal a flesh sack, which inflated as the thing let out a deafening roar, declaring dominance and a demand for bloodshed.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate.
You transform into Abberant Humanoid for 30 minutes. You have access to all of your Powers while you are Abberant Humanoid, and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. While transformed, your Brawn is increased by 1 and your Dexterity is increased by 1.
Your alternate form is its own deadly weapon. Unarmed attacks made in your alternate form deal +3 Bonus Damage (instead of the typical -2).

Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: The area of his chest where his heart is located is swollen, the veins around it inflamed and a deep red and blue, making it hard or impossible to hide..

When the user touches a key of some sort, an appropriate keyhole will form in the middle of their chest, right above the heart. Putting the key in and turning it will create an opaque black opening around where the keyhole was. After reaching into the opening to store or retrieve an item, the hole closes, the key turns back and will fall out.
The name only refers to the place of the stash, it's not actually part of the body. It's more of an extension of your mind, death will result in dropping all stored items at once. Time does not move inside the stash, items will leave in the *exact* condition they entered. The key used to open the stash doesn't need to be an actual key, just something whose primary purpose is opening locks, a key card for example.
Spend a Quick Action. You must actively and obviously use some sort of key to activate this Effect.
You may withdraw an item from your stash, or add an item that is within arm’s reach to your stash. You may only stash targets which are in your possession, grappled, or otherwise controlled by you.
You may store Objects in your stash, each no larger than something which could fit inside a briefcase (15 liters), and you may store up to 3 things at a time.
You may choose to equip any equipment you withdraw at no additional cost.

As you center your focus on your own shadow, it begins to envelop you and bend the light creating an obscuring mirage. In the light this may appear like a heat shimmer. In darkness it may appear as swirling mists. The less light there is present to bend, the more successful the effect. Some rumors suggest practitioners that have mastered this technique can completely disappear from sight.
Wrapping oneself in shadows is mentally and physically draining. With increased training practitioners are able to withstand the effects without the taxing exhaustion. As with any gift that brings one closer to the void, extreme caution is advised lest they find themselves careening into the depths rather than skirting in the shallows.
During the duration of this technique, the user effectively does not cast a shadow, regardless of near by light sources.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
You and any clothes or equipment you are wearing are partially obscured from sight for the next 10 minutes. All attempts to detect you using sight are rolled at a -3 dice penalty, and all attempts to detect you where sight would assist are rolled at -1 penalty.

You may turn this Effect on and off at will during its duration.

While in this form, you can squeeze through any gap that is not water-tight.
Damage from standard attacks is halved, but Damage from AOE effects is increased by 1.

As the change overtakes him, Norman is instantly engulfed in a violent flash of blood-red flame, the searing light swallowing his human form in less than a heartbeat. With a guttural, agonized scream that twists the soul, his already imposing figure contorts and swells in a blur of impossible speed. Where Norman once stood, an abomination towers—a nightmarish, eldritch beast over nine feet tall. Its hide is covered with thick fur; a swirling, reddish-brown coat constantly rippling as if alive, radiating waves of unnatural heat. Two jagged and ribbed horns rip from its skull and curve menacingly backwards and to the sides, their edges glowing faintly with feverish energy. The creature’s eyes burn with a sickly, otherworldly glow, and its mouth stretches into a savage rictus, exposing an arsenal of needle-like, interlocking fangs. The air seems to warp and shudder around it, reality recoiling from each of its thunderous, echoing steps. The transformation ends as suddenly as it began, leaving the world ringing with the echo of Norman’s tortured scream and the lingering, acrid scent of scorched earth—a horrifying reminder of the eldritch power now unshackled.
Exert your Mind and spend a Quick Action.

The Thief casts a container's worth of fine powder into the air. The particulates are drawn to any sort of object that is designed to detect people, including tripwires, security cameras, detection lasers, heat sensors, etc. The powder will not trigger these devices or interfere with their operation, but it does reveal their presence to the Thief.
The cloud drifts and swirls, subtly following the Thief for a minute.

The beastmaster shouts, and their human voice cracks into a deep, bestial roar. Their body swells with muscle, clothes melting into a thick pelt of fur. Seconds later the beastmaster is gone. Standing in their place is a massive grizzly bear.
However, even in human form the beast within remains close to the surface, and the beastmaster finds highly civilized social situations unbearable.

While transformed, you cannot use any equipment (including Artifacts and Consumables), and you cannot use your Active, Targeted, or Trap Powers. However, you can use your Passive Powers. Any equipment you are wearing transforms with you.

The vampire sucks a copious amount of blood from a human and replenishes their own cursed flesh.
Exert your Mind and spend 1 minute. This Effect cannot be used unless you drink blood directly from a human until it injures them. Choose a specific Injury on yourself that has not yet been treated with this Effect and roll Brawn + Occult (2 dice) at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, the Injury is reduced in Severity by your Outcome. If you reduce its Severity to 0, the Injury is fully healed. Otherwise, it is partially healed and will heal the rest of the way at its natural rate.
This counts as a successful Makeshift Stabilization if the Injury was not already Stabilized; any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will remain.
If your Outcome is greater than the Severity of the Injury you were attempting to treat, you may apply any excess Outcome to other Injuries on yourself.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see you drink blood directly from the vein.
