A candy heart has become the center stone in Bismarck's body, fully integrating his gusher-juice blood into something amazing. Whenever Bismarck needs to see better than normal, at any time, such as to react to something normally unseen or perhaps to avoid something hurdling towards him, his candy heart pumps something fierce to provide a surge of energy throughout his entire body that sends his gusher-juice-blood careening down his veins not unlike a burst of adrenaline.

However, his heart may be obviously seen as a new, easy target. After all, when it does make a beat like this, it grows so brightly that it can be seen through his clothes and hardened sugar skin, a clear, cherry colored silhouette that may be seen by the masses. Pray that no one catches it, else they learn it's your Achilles heel.

You gain the following benefits as long as you have your heart.

Your Perception rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Perception (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).

If you are witnessed actively using this Effect, whoever sees it can make a Perception + Alertness roll at Difficulty 6. A complete success reveals the source of your power.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Slow Time: You may substitute your Perception as the Attribute for any rolls made for Reactions.

  • If your heart is damaged, destroyed, or lost, you lose all benefits from this Effect for the next two months, or until you can recover any relevant missing items (which may involve a side-game and requires a GM to approve whatever process is used).

Community Mythic Perception Gifts

You gain the following benefits as long as you have your eyes.

Your Perception rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Perception (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).

Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Glimpses of the Abyss: When you fail a Mind resistance roll, you must make a Self-Control roll to not spiral into your own knowledge and receive a vision. If you succeed on a coin flip, this vision is helpful. Otherwise, you are incapacitated with terror for 1d4 rounds.

If you are witnessed actively using this Effect, whoever sees it can make a Perception + Alertness roll at Difficulty 6. A complete success reveals the source of your power.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Clear-Sighted: If you see an illusion, disguise, or other false reality, you recognize it as such but cannot immediately see through it.
  • Constant Vigilance: You may React to surprise Attacks, and you do not automatically lose initiative if ambushed or caught-flat footed. +2 dice to Initiative.
  • Gut Feeling: You may roll Perception + Alertness Difficulty 7 to detect when someone is watching you remotely, even through supernatural means. Requires Outcome 4 or higher.
  • Saw it Coming: Any time you attempt to dodge an Attack from someone lower than your position in Initiative, you may Exert your Mind to automatically succeed without a roll. You may use Source to make a Desperate Defense. There is still a maximum of one Desperate Defense per Round.

  • You can still be ambushed if you are incapacitated, stunned, or being kept unconscious supernaturally.
