JPM is the Big Boss, he's the big man in every room he walks into: he's the spitting image of "American Muscle" fit to go toe-to-toe with the Russian bear... a capitalist demagogue.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You are permanently and visibly transformed: built like a bear.. You are considered to be a Sapient, Living being when targeted. Your Brawn is increased by 1 and your Charisma is increased by 1.
Liam stands in front of his comrades in a feeble attempt to guard them from the trained barrels of enemy rifles aimed down at them. In a single moment Liam's racing heart slowed its pace, and he clenches his fists as he starts to change. His short cut hair grows thicker, his nails get longer and seem to form edges, his teeth grow sharp and his eyes turn a golden yellow with black slits down the middle. He growls and bares his teeth, ready to fight.
Exert your Mind and spend a Quick Action.
You transform into a Werehuman for 3 Rounds. You have access to all of your Powers while you are a Werehuman, and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. Reverting from your Alternate Form cannot cause your existing Injuries to kill you. Instead, you remain Incapacitated.
While transformed, your Brawn is increased by 1. You do not suffer any Stress while transformed.
You may only use this Effect once per day.
Like a cicada molting its skin, Nathan's spirit splits its way out of his body, a terrible gaseous form with conjoined masses flailing underneath. Reaching their target, Nathan expels their spirit, clawing into and imprisoning it into a nearby reflective surface before digging into them, remaining there.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Living or Sapient target within 20 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless the target is Sapient (cannot be just Living.). Roll Intellect + Occult at Difficulty 6. The target may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you possess your target for the Contested Outcome in hours. The target has no control over their body or actions, though they retain consciousness and will remember anything that occurs during the possession.
Your original body will be left behind, unconscious. You may perceive through your original body's senses by Concentrating. If your original body is touched, you may roll Perception + Alertness to notice. You may spend an Action to end the possession early.
Stats: During the possession, you use the host body’s Body rating, but your own Mind rating. Any rolls you make use the host body’s Brawn, Dexterity, and Perception but your own Charisma, Intellect, and Abilities. You gain the effects of any physical Assets and Liabilities they have. You cannot read the target’s mind or memories.
Gifts: You have access to and can use any of your own Powers which are not intrinsic to your biology or physical body. You cannot access any Powers or other supernatural effects which the target has, unless they are intrinsic to the target’s biology or physical body.
Death: If the host body is killed or destroyed while you are still possessing it, you will die along with it. If the possession ends and your original body was killed or destroyed in some way, your disembodied spirit will haunt the location where your body died, and the only action you can take is activating this Effect on a new target within 20 feet.
Eviction: If you attempt to force your host to take actions which would violate one of their Limits or their instinct for self-preservation, they may resist by rolling Mind. If their Outcome is higher than or equal to the contested Outcome, the possession ends and you are evicted from their body.
While possessing your target, you may put them into “autopilot.” During this time they will act as they would normally for the situation without the knowledge that you are/were possessing them. This allows them to act “normal” around social contacts, type in passwords if they want to log in, etc. You have no control during this time.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see spirit mutilation and imprisonment.
If you become Incapacitated or suffer an Injury Severity 4 or greater, this Effect ends.
The supernatural forces that keep Ichabod's spirit going reject mortal sicknesses. You also know if any plague enters your rotting body.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You get +0 dice to any Body resistance rolls you make. You also gain the following effects:
Having lost and found enough different body parts, Bruno's body and blood patiently waits for replacement parts instead of bleeding out and dying.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Any Injury you receive heals quickly, reducing its Severity by one level every 6 hours. Any Injuries you receive while this Effect is active do not deteriorate over time. However, any Battle Scars caused by such an Injury will remain unless it is Properly Stabilized as normal.
As long as at least half your body remains intact, you cannot die and remain at Incapacitated, regardless of how many Injuries you take. It is clear to observers that you are still alive.
Once an Injury has been reduced in Severity by two levels, it no longer benefits from this effect and instead heals as normal.
Hezalea's past has brought her into places that no normal human would've been allowed into, all for the "greater good". The exposure has changed her on a fundamental level for better or worse; how could anyone call her a hero now? She can't even be called "human" anymore. Her "blood" coagulates so quickly that her injuries simply look grotesque, as if a Venom-like creature has touched them. Due to this, she has also found herself becoming slightly more flexible than before - that is, her very flesh is less anchored to her form, no longer restricting her ability to fit through smaller spaces.
On toxicity:
Hezalea always used to carry around vials of liquid cancer: chromyl chloride. Koriol was the one who supplied her with it, no questions asked. It looks like blood, just a little more orange in smaller portions, and it fumes enough that people know right away that she means very much harm. The moment they lay eyes on it they usually back away. What does it mean, now that something quite similar flows through her veins? At least she's not planning to maintain any relationship that matters anytime soon.
On the white streak:
No matter what she's tried, she can't get rid of it in any meaningful way. Cutting it off only means it'd grow back with the same pale whiteness, and it's not even porous enough to be dyed before the colour slips away, staining everything else. Maybe it's from the incessant stress of all the situations she throws herself into, but she secretly knows this is just another superficial symptom of something quite sinister underneath.
On choice:
She didn't choose this gift. She was told she'd be getting magic from fulfilling Contracts, but all she got instead was a true manifestation of what was already there. The scientists back then were so intent on achieving this very feat, telling her it'd make her better and stronger and all-powerful. They had an unnatural fixation on replacing one's crimson vitality with something else. All they really wanted was self-satisfaction and bragging rights for attaining divine knowledge, at the cost of her liberty and her life.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You are permanently and visibly transformed: Streak of ghostly white hair and fuming, pitch-black blood. You are considered to be a Sapient, Non-Living being when targeted..
Your Injuries no longer degrade with time. You do not age naturally, and supernatural attempts to age you fail.
You can squeeze through any cracks and passageways a cat would be able to.
Any Animate being that consumes or is injected with your bodily fluids receives a Severity-1 Injury. Every Round, they must roll Body Difficulty 9. If they fail, the Injury worsens by 1 Severity. If they succeed, the Injury stops worsening.
Through the use of clever rhetoric, the spy is able to inspire a surge of emotion in a target with whom they are speaking.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Living target within 45 feet as well as a specific emotion. This Effect cannot be used unless you are engaged in conversation with the target. Roll Charisma + Influence at Difficulty 6. Affected targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6 -3 dice.
If you succeed, for the next minute, your target will do things they otherwise wouldn’t have done, inspired by the chosen emotion. They will not necessarily display their emotions in an obvious way.
Actions they take will be in keeping with their character and the way they tend to deal with strong emotions. They will be unlikely to change their mind about any actions taken or decisions made until after the Effect ends.
You never know whether or not the musician's death is merely part of the performance.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
If you would take an Injury that would kill you, you don’t die. Instead, you survive in an Incapacitated state. This state lasts for the next hour, at which point you fully return to life. Unstabilized Injuries do not degrade while you are Incapacitated
If, while you are unconscious, your wound level rises above your rating in Body + Charisma, or if you take an Injury with Severity greater than your rating in Charisma, you die. After you return, the Injury that would have killed you, as well as any Injuries sustained while Incapacitated, are healed. Battle scars obtained during this time remain.
While addressing a crowd, the influencer may use coded language to send secret messages to a particular person in the crowd. These messages can't be noticed or understood by anyone but the intended target.
Spend an Action. Select a target any distance away from you. You must have a specific target in mind, but you require only an intuitive understanding of them, such as their name, face, or Location. This Effect cannot be used unless you are speaking to multiple people and the target is listening.
You may send a single message to your target. It can be no more complicated than a multi-page letter or a long email.
The message will only be perceived by the intended recipient. You must share a common language for your target to understand the message.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is your left hand making a fist. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
This Gift cannot have more than 3 Drawbacks, and its Gift Cost is capped at 2.
The mutant has grown a long, fuzzy tail resembling one found on a monkey or lemur. Odd as it may be, it certainly comes in handy, and it's got one hell of a grip. If removed, the tail regrows within a week.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You gain an additional limb that functions as a standard human arm and hand.
Each additional limb you posses can take one Quick Action per Round without incurring a -2 dice penalty to your main Action. Each additional appendage you have gives you +1 dice to make and resist Grapples (up to a maximum bonus of +4 dice).
Any Battle Scars that affect or remove your additional limb will heal in a single week.
You may dedicate your extra Quick Action to contest any attempt to escape your Grapples. If you do so, you roll your full dice pool to contest and retain your Action to do anything that does not target the subject of your Grapple.
Your Extra Appendage is incapable of fine object manipulation.
By focusing and whispering a prayer under their breath, the priest may invoke their god to protect those who have good works left to do.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action or Reaction. Select a Animate target within 20 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless the target is a living human. Roll a single d10, Difficulty 4. If you fail or botch, the Effect fails and you cannot activate it again for an hour. Roll Charisma + Occult at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you create a barrier around your target, which absorbs the next Outcome +2 Damage. The Damage reduction from the barrier is applied before Armor. You may only have 1 active barrier at a time.
You must maintain Concentration while using this Effect. The barrier will fall if you are interrupted, or if it absorbs the full amount of Damage. When a barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is you whispering a prayer under your breath. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
