JPM has the right to Bear Arms: meaning that his grip is iron and inescapable: much like student loans, and... his body has become as hard as the steel which serves in America's fine railroad tracks... meaning that should he ever grab you: he'll squeeze all the life out of ya' like a true capitalist.
Shaolin Monks have this thing where they harden their knuckles-and-bones into a sort of stone-like plating... JPM's done about the same thing.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in unarmed combat.
+2 dice to rolls for grappling and choking. The target's Armor is fully effective against this damage.
You also gain the following effects:
Lau extends a hand, and a biting serpent made of shadow covers the target limb, before it is painfully consumed and vanishes into the void. The shadows can also extend from his mouth.
Lau, having made more of a name for himself, can now make sacrifices to his god.
In addition to Faith, you now have an additional resource in the form of Apep's Favour. You gain points of Apep's Favour through this ability dependant on the Severity of the Battle Scar caused. Minor is 1, Major is 2, Severe is 3, Extreme is 4 and Deadly is 6. The maximum amount of Favour you have is equal to three times your Faith.
VALID SCARS:
Minor:
Bleeder, Missing Fingers, Tongueless
Major: Mute, Lost Hand, Missing Foot, One Eye, Soft Spot, Maybe: Enervated, Traumatic Brain Injury
Severe: Missing Leg, Deaf, Missing Arm, Gusher
Extreme: Parapalegia, Blindness, No Hands, Skinned
Spend an Action. Select a Living or Animate target within 45 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless you consider light level. If you are in dim light, the Battle Scar is reduced in effectiveness by one step. In daylight, it is reduced by two (Severe to Major, Major or Minor to none). Roll Perception + Occult at Difficulty 6. The target may roll Body, Difficulty 7, as a Free Action to resist.
If you succeed, the target receives a new Battle Scar of your choosing, limited by the contested Outcome:
You may affect up to 3 targets within range.
All alterations you make must remove body parts.
This Gift cannot have more than 3 Drawbacks, and its Gift Cost is capped at 2.
Daisy’s spirit has merged completely with that of an arctic hare, granting her enhanced hearing and resistance to cold.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You are permanently and visibly transformed: Daisy has a light coating of fur, and a larger “collar” of fur around her neck. You are considered to be a Sapient, Living Creature when targeted..
Your body is adapted to hearing / listening. You receive +3 dice on non-attack rolls related to hearing / listening.
You are immune to damage from cold. If cold is a substantial component of other damage you would take (e.g. falling from a great distance into a vat of liquid nitrogen), that damage is reduced by 2 (in addition to Armor)
You cannot ignore or decrease the effects of Stress for any Self-Control rolls you make.
The cape that is part of Hope's being allows them to glide and float, flaring and emitting a slight glow from its bright white underside.
Exert your Mind (unless you win a coin flip) and spend an Action. This Effect remains active for two hours.
As long as you are conscious, you are immune to falling Damage and may hover in place mid-air. Additionally, you may glide as you fall, traveling 35 feet horizontally for every 10 feet you fall. While gliding, you fall at a minimum speed of 10 feet per Round.
You are subject to the following effects while gliding:
Drawing external energy from a device and combining it with their own reserves, Rei is able to over-charge their senses to detect all sorts of energy-- allowing them to see in the dark and scan heat signatures, electric fields, and even neurological activity, functioning similarly to a radar.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must use up a phone's worth of energy in order to activate this Effect.
Your senses are enhanced in the following way. Lasts for three hours.
Any senses which have been heightened cannot be overloaded. Battle Scars you receive cannot affect these senses.
You strike your foes with your teeth and injure them with a powerful acid, that while neutralizes quickly, still does incredible damage to the bitten and inflicts terrible suffering.
Spend an Action to activate. Select a target within arm's reach. Roll Dexterity + Brawl Difficulty 6. The target may contest by rolling to Dodge or Defend as a Reaction, Difficulty 6.
If the contested Outcome is positive, the target takes that much damage plus 1. Armor is fully effective against this damage.
The target suffers a -3 dice penalty for the next hour or until the Injury is healed. This dice penalty does not stack multiple times on the same target.
If the target takes damage from this Effect, they will receive at least a Minor Battle Scar regardless of the Severity of their Injury. The specifics of the scar are up to GM's discretion.
This Gift's level is capped at 2 Gifts and cannot be increased further.
Instead of dealing damage all at once, the Injury caused by this Power starts at Severity 1 and worsens at the rate of one level per round until it reaches the Severity it would have otherwise been.
The mobster presents a reasoned, logical case to the target: there's a lot of dangerous folks out there, and only they can offer safety... for a price.
If they agree, they will pay the mobster a monthly fee for protection. If they stop making their payments... well, let's just say, the mobster can't be held responsible for any unsavory types that might pay them a visit.
This Effect cannot be used unless you are making a deal to exchange money for protection.
You may make an oath with a physically-present, Sapient target. Communicate the oath's terms to the target, including the requirements and penalties for each participant. If all agree to the terms, you must Exert your Mind and all participants must shake hands to seal the deal.
Record the oath as a Condition. If a party breaks the oath, the Condition ends and they suffer the oath's penalty.
When crafting your oath, you may incorporate any of the following penalties:
The target cannot be compelled to agree via a direct threat of violence, another Effect, or another oath. If you would like to use clever wording to mislead the target, you must succeed a contested Intellect + (Culture or Influence) roll.
All it takes is a flick of your hair and a bat of your eyelashes, and you’ve got their attention.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. A number of Sapient, Living targets within 50 feet who can perceive you through no greater than your Charisma rating are affected. Audiences or mobs with a singular focus count as one target. Roll Charisma + Performance at Difficulty 6. All affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7.
If you succeed, the targets will keep their full attention focused on you for Contested Outcome in Rounds. They will automatically fail any rolls related to noticing anything other than you.
If you pass from their perception and they are unable to pursue you, the Effect ends. If they can follow you, they must do so for 2 Rounds or the Effect will end. The Effect ends early if the target is Injured or violence occurs nearby.
This does not affect the target’s opinion of you or their mood, and they may take any Actions while affected (including attacking), as long as that action centers on you. Fascinated targets cannot Concentrate.
The Ninja is a master at blending in to any crowd or organization. If they can find complete privacy, they may channel their ninjutsu to temporarily create the illusion of any outfit or uniform they desire. The new clothes shimmer into existence over their existing garb over the course of a minute of meditation.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute.
You become disguised in a manner of your choosing. The disguise lasts for two hours, or you may end it early at will.
The new appearance must have a similar sex, age, and race to your own. You cannot significantly change your height and weight. Your disguise cannot directly mimic an existing person. You may change the appearance of your outfit. A disguise cannot affect your Attributes or other stats.
You may roll Charisma + Crafts to attempt to make your disguise Beautiful. If your Outcome is 6 or higher, non-Effect Charisma rolls where your good looks could help are rolled at -2 Difficulty. If you fail or botch, you are ugly instead, and non-Effect Charisma rolls are made at +2 Difficulty.
You cannot alter the appearance of your flesh and blood.
The Werewolf’s body, long caught in the crossfire between human and beast, has developed a powerful coping mechanism. It draws upon the conflict, healing severe injuries in a matter of days.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Any Injury you receive from a source other than silver or fire. heals quickly, reducing its Severity by one level every 6 hours. Any Injuries you receive while this Effect is active do not deteriorate over time. However, any Battle Scars caused by such an Injury will remain unless it is Properly Stabilized as normal.
You may Exert your Mind and spend an Action to reduce the Severity of one of your Injuries by 2. Does not affect Injuries suffered as an activation cost for Effects.
Injuries you receive from silver or fire. are increased in Severity by 1.
The Necromancer temporarily assumes the form of their own corpse, complete with maggots, spilled entrails, and exposed bone. They cannot move while transformed, but their empty eye sockets see as well as ever.
Exert your Mind and Spend an Action.
You transform into your own corpse for one minute. While transformed, you may control the functioning of the object you have transformed into. You can perceive your surroundings as normal. You can be targeted as a Non-Living, Sapient Object.
If you are damaged while transformed, the damage is realized when you return to normal. If you are damaged before you transform, your inanimate form will appear partially damaged.
You may end this Effect prematurely as a Free Action.
