If the attacker wishes to kill the user then they must bargain with death through to kill this person
You gain the following benefits as long as they're in a life endangering situation.
If you would take an Injury that would kill you, you don’t die. Instead, you survive in an Incapacitated state. While incapacitated, you can take one Action per minute, starting one minute after you were incapacitated. This state lasts for the next hour, at which point you fully return to life.
If, while you are unconscious, your wound level rises above your rating in Body + twice your Charisma, or if you take an Injury with Severity greater than twice your rating in Charisma, you die. After you return, the Injury that would have killed you, as well as any Injuries sustained while Incapacitated, are healed. Battle scars obtained during this time remain.
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Experience of death.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You may move easily and without a roll in any of the following situations.
James flicks his wand, and promptly after an illusion of whatever he wishes appears. In his mind flashes of the mission he obtained this gift on appear, his comrades injured, drowning, blood and explosions in a harsh winter, Wolves biting into him ripping his flesh.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target within arm's reach. You must actively and obviously use wand to activate this Effect. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. Choose an illusion to generate, which can be no larger than a person.
The chosen illusion is generated at your target, and it will remain in place for the next 3 Rounds or you choose to end it. It can be perceived by people through their hearing, smell, and sight. The illusion cannot be used as an attack. You cannot make an exact replica of an existing Animate being or Object.
Anyone who touches the illusion (or who would be able to perceive it significantly through a sense it cannot fool) realizes it is an illusion and can choose to perceive it or not at will.
The illusion is not fixed to the initial target, and may move about at a maximum speed 30 feet per Round. It may have moving parts and engage in simple, predetermined movements but cannot perform anything complex or interactive unless you maintain Concentration and “puppeteer” it.
Neil observes his target, letting Miasma occupy his eyes while he uses it to sense necromantic energy, alerting him to traces of death.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Select a Sapient target within 20 feet. At the end of your investigation, roll Intellect + Occult at Difficulty 6.
You learn all the following information about your target:
The quality and specificity of information gained depends on your Outcome.
You cannot investigate the same target more than once per day.
He strikes people down with a unseen calm. A actual monster.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in combat with melee weapons.
+2 dice to all rolls with melee weapons. You may Defend against firearm attacks from any range using melee weapons.
You also gain the following effects:
The two previously dim yellow lights in Astra's roboBunny ears flicker. The roboBunny ears get covered in a black ichor like substance. They become transparent and watery, glass-like before vanishing completely. Not long after, the black ichor covers the rest of Astra's body, gobbling all of her clothes and belongings from head to toe. The glassy, water like shimmer follows, mimicking the black ichor's advance. Astra then vanishes, her silhouette barely distinguishable in an otherwise empty room.
When the girl moves, her silhouette becomes visible, displaying a shimmery, glassy, watery like depiction of whatever it was displaying to conceal Astra. It changes and realigns to make the snowBunny obscured again, only managing after the movement stops.
When the effect stops, the black ichor becomes visible as it retreats back into the bunny ears.
The ichor cannot be touched and any object or person not covered in it will simply go through and touch Astra.
The 'ichor' is in fact an illusion, hence it's non-physical nature. The bunnyEars create a field that 'washes' over Astra's body, clothes and on-person belongings.
While this effect is active and Astra moves, the resulting distortion is the light bending being readjusted, trying to match the surroundings from all possible angles.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You are obscured in one of the following manners. You may Spend an Action to change the way in which you're concealed.
While this Effect is active, any Effect that would obscure you from other, additional senses fails automatically. If someone discovers you, this Effect will not help you hide from them for the next minute. You only remain obscured while you are standing still; moving or taking actions will suspend the Effect for a Round.
You may turn this Effect on and off at will during its duration.
The mutant has grown a long, fuzzy tail resembling one found on a monkey or lemur. Odd as it may be, it certainly comes in handy, and it's got one hell of a grip. If removed, the tail regrows within a week.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You gain an additional limb that functions as a standard human arm and hand.
Each additional limb you posses can take one Quick Action per Round without incurring a -2 dice penalty to your main Action. Each additional appendage you have gives you +1 dice to make and resist Grapples (up to a maximum bonus of +4 dice).
Any Battle Scars that affect or remove your additional limb will heal in a single week.
You may dedicate your extra Quick Action to contest any attempt to escape your Grapples. If you do so, you roll your full dice pool to contest and retain your Action to do anything that does not target the subject of your Grapple.
Your Extra Appendage is incapable of fine object manipulation.
The Witch gazes at a calm and trusting animal and blinks, revealing eyes that have changed to match the creature's. Her body goes limp and collapses, and the witch proceeds to walk away, now temporarily borrowing the animal's body.
A borrowing Witch is a visitor in the animal's mind and cannot overstay her welcome or force the animal into danger.
Spend an Action or Reaction. Select a Non-Alien Creature target within 20 feet. The target may Resist.
You possess your target and have control over their actions for the next hour. Your original body will be left behind, unconscious. You may perceive through your original body's senses by maintaining Concentration. If your original body is touched, you may roll Perception + Alertness to notice. You may spend an Action to end the possession early.
Stats: Any Actions you take will use the possessed creature’s Brawn, Dexterity, and Perception, but use your own Charisma, Intellect, and Abilities.
Gifts: You do not have access to any Gifts while you are possessing your target.
Death: If the host suffers an Injury, or is destroyed or incapacitated, you are evicted back into your own body. If the possession ends and your original body was killed or destroyed, you will die.
Eviction: You cannot force your host to take Actions which would violate their instinct for self-preservation (which includes engaging in Combat for any purpose other than self-defense or natural hunting); any attempt to do so will sever the connection and send you back into your own body. If you are forced out of the target's body prematurely, you must make a Trauma roll.
Targets with Body ratings higher than 10 require a Charisma + Animals roll resisted by the target’s Body. Kaiju and environment-scale targets are immune.
This Gift cannot have more than 3 Drawbacks, and its Gift Cost is capped at 2.
The Necromancer may exert their will on any undead creature, forcing it to act as they desire. The Necromancer's eyes turn completely black, and they speak a command to the creature in the language of the dead.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Non-Alien, Non-Sapient, Animate target within 20 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless the target is undead.
For the next day, you may issue specific commands to your target which they will be compelled to follow.
Your commands must be relatively simple and within the target’s intellectual grasp. You cannot make them obviously endanger themselves or violate their instinct for self-preservation. The effects of the command will fade after a day has passed.
The spy can twist the urban environment to their whims, erecting fences, walls, and barriers as needed. They whistle and gesture to where the wall should be, and the surrounding materials fly into place.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Location within 50 feet. You must be in an area abundant with man-made structures and materials.
Select one of the following alterations to create out of standard building materials originating at the target:
The alteration begins to form when you activate this Effect and finishes forming on your initiative in the next Round. Until it finishes forming, it is not guaranteed to function.
This alteration lasts one minute but may be prematurely destroyed or altered. Your alterations may be broken through with appropriate tools. Anyone attempting to break through must roll Brawn + a relevant Ability. A cumulative Outcome of 6 across all attempts breaks a hole large enough to move through. See the extended system text for GM guidance on various tools.
When the Vampire's lust for blood is satiated, their injuries heal at a remarkably fast rate and new injuries are quickly stabilized. While healing, the Vampire's skin retains its deathly pale appearance, as any blood he consumes is being used to repair his wounds.
You gain the following benefits as long as as long as you have drank a half gallon (lethal) amount of blood in the past 24 hours.
Any Injury you receive heals quickly, reducing its Severity by one level each hour. Any Injuries you receive while this Effect is active do not deteriorate over time. However, any Battle Scars caused by such an Injury will remain unless it is Properly Stabilized as normal.
