Minerva focuses for a moment, and then, between one frame of the universe and the next, her location has changed. She's left in a new location.
Spend an Action or Reaction. Select a Location which is at most 75 feet away horizontally or 15 feet away vertically. If you are using this Effect as a Reaction, you must travel at least 50 feet.
You jump to the chosen location. If the landing is precarious, the GM may call for a roll to land safely. You will never take fall damage from successfully landing a jump made with this Effect.
You may opt to trade your free movement for a Super Leap if you are jumping less than 50 feet or if you are closing a gap to an opponent and spend your Action on an attack.
Instead of physically passing through the air, you are teleported directly to your destination. You may hop to the other side of walls but can travel no more than 3 feet when doing so.
Those in the vicinity of the glitter bomb other than the user will be under the caster's influence.
Once the glitter bomb is used, the contents become as thin as spiderwebs and attach their wiring to their target much like a crown of wire. It is invisible to the naked eye and even if exposed, it just looks like the possessed hair that have been tangled.
Spend at least one Action and use up this A tiny glitter bomb. Select a number of Sapient targets equal to your Charisma within 20 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless Can only use when the target is hostile towards the user. Communicate a command to your targets. Roll 11 dice Difficulty 6, dice penalties do not apply. The targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7.
If the contested Outcome is positive, your targets will be compelled to follow your command to their best understanding of the letter and spirit of the command until they have completed it or for your Outcome in minutes. You cannot issue another suggestion to the target until 10 minutes after they have completed the first command or 10 minutes after a failure.
The target is unaware that they are under supernatural influence and feel they are acting of their own free will. If you fail, they realize that you were attempting to influence them supernaturally with your command.
Your command can be an order to take an immediate Action and a conditional request. You cannot order a target to "do nothing," and they are free to take other Actions as they fulfill your request. Your command cannot be obviously self-endangering or self-destructive. The Effect ends if following your command would cause a target to cross one of their Limits in a way that would necessitate a Trauma roll.
This Effect ends if you are stunned, fall asleep, go unconscious, are incapacitated, die, or if your total Stress ever exceeds 5.
Nari can heal the damage, but it is still apparent that something happened. Nari must be touching the area that they are going to repair for it to work. What is being healed glows for a few moments, then healing process begins. It takes over an hour for the body to repair itself, but this happens on its own. Nari is not needed to be around for the process to finish.
However, once it is done, the body does not return to before. If a limb is lost and regrown, there will be markings on the skin akin to scars. If skin was burned, it will grow back, but be discolored. There is no more pain or damage, though.
Exert your Mind and spend an hour. Select a Living or Animate target within arm's reach. Select a Battle Scar on your target to treat.
The treated Battle Scar heals as you finish activating this Effect. If used on a Battle Scar caused by an Unstabilized Injury, that Injury is Stabilized.
Healing a Battle Scar in this way leaves behind leaves the body visibly marked in some way (varies due to injury) on the target which cannot be healed.
The user flips through the pages of the ledger and motions towards the head, chest, and shoulders of a target with three fingers-- allowing them to briefly connect, manipulate, and 'weave' their soul. Tangible augmentations such as implanted tools or pouches appear in the form of either physiological changes stemming from the shaping of the soul, or spiritual manifestations of the implanted device.
Spend an Action. Select a Living or Animate target within arm's reach. The target can easily Resist.
You may add one augmentation to your target. Each augmentation counts as a Trauma and can have exactly one of the following Effects:
The augmentations you provide are not outwardly visible nor obvious.
You may end this Effect prematurely as a Free Action.
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.
Possession of this Artifact causes the following Battle Scar to manifest over the course of a day: Withered Hands / Soft Spot: Writing in the ledger has weakened your hand over time. Called shots against your left hand do +2 damage. If an attack hits you which could conceivably hit your left hand, roll 1d10 at Difficulty 6. If you fail, the attack hits your soft spot and does +2 damage and Necrosis / Feeble Constitution: The ledger's curse has drained you of your life and imparted partial necrosis on your body. Your immune system and/or vitality is especially feeble. You have +2 Difficulty on any and all Body rolls you make. If they lose possession of this Artifact, the Battle Scar heals over the course of the next day.
Your alteration "heals" over the course of the next month, after which it is fully cured.
In addition to their benefits, your augments come with a penalty equivalent to a minor Battle Scar or Trauma. This penalty does not count as an additional Battle Scar or Trauma.
Marshall Marshall has learned that it is not merely The Great Monkey King that he gains powers from, but from the cosmos itself, including imbuing his non-lethal weapons with the otherworldly power of cosmic lightning. This ability temporarily impeeds the target's chi paths with cosmic energy, slowing or even outright stopping his opponents. His quick reflexes even allow him to shoot this energy to stun an opponent mid-action, making it ineffectual.
(Note, despite the selected skill, this is intended to be used with Non-Lethal Weapon Mastery)
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Animate target within 20 feet. You must actively and obviously use a Nonlethal Weapon to activate this Effect. Roll Perception + Alertness at Difficulty 7.
If you succeed, the target will suffer a dice penalty equal to the Outcome for the next 2 Rounds. Dice pools may be reduced all the way down to 0 by this penalty. This breaks Concentration.
You may Exert your Mind and spend a Reaction to contest an Action someone is taking. Roll Perception + Alertness at Difficulty 7. Subtract your Outcome from theirs, and they use the Contested Outcome to determine if their Action succeeds.
Through clever sleight of hand, or through a simple financial transaction, Bill places a coin on his target's person - could be a quarter, could be a penny, whatever he has on hand - and will be able to detect the how far away the coin is, as well as in which direction. It feels slightly warm to the touch, as if it had been sitting in a hot car earlier that day, and if anyone looks closely at it, the eyes of Mr. Lincoln (or Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt, and occasionally Kennedy) seem to follow them, like a painting in an episode of Scooby Doo.
Spend an Action to activate. Select a target within arm's reach.
Your target is marked with a small coin until it is removed or until you choose to end the Effect. The mark can be easily removed if it is discovered.
You are aware of the marked target's direction and distance from you. You can have up to 1 mark active.
This Gift's level is capped at 2 Gifts and cannot be increased further.
The Necromancer spits into the mouth of a recently deceased corpse. For the few minutes, the corpse's head comes back to life and speaks to the Necromancer.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Dead target within 50 feet. Dead targets must have died within the past week, and you must have their remains in your possession.
The target can communicate in your language for the next hour.
The magician dons their wizard hat, raises their arms, wiggles their fingers, and a rain of sparks fly woosh around an object. It shudders to life and follows the magicians commands, including to do things it was not designed to do.
Exert your Mind and an Action. Select a Inanimate target within arm's reach which could fit inside a briefcase (15 liters). You must actively and obviously use a pointed hat with stars and moons to activate this Effect.
Your target will become Animated indefinitely. You may choose to end the effect at will, as a Free Action. You can maintain a max of 4 targets animated at once.
Animated Objects have the following restrictions and capabilities:
By focusing and whispering a prayer under their breath, the priest may invoke their god to protect those who have good works left to do.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action or Reaction. Select a Animate target within 20 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless the target is a living human. Roll a single d10, Difficulty 4. If you fail or botch, the Effect fails and you cannot activate it again for an hour. Roll Charisma + Occult at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you create a barrier around your target, which absorbs the next Outcome +2 Damage. The Damage reduction from the barrier is applied before Armor. You may only have 1 active barrier at a time.
You must maintain Concentration while using this Effect. The barrier will fall if you are interrupted, or if it absorbs the full amount of Damage. When a barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is you whispering a prayer under your breath. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
The survivalist is adept at following an animal through any terrain. Once they find a recent track, they may focus their will to illuminate the trail of their target. Any part of the target's trail within eyeshot glows a bright, misty green. Even the trails made by vehicles the target was riding in are illuminated.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Select a Sapient target within 20 feet. You may select a target at any range if you use up fresh tracks of the target. At the end of your investigation, roll Perception + Survival at Difficulty 6.
You learn all the following information about your target:
The quality and specificity of information gained depends on your Outcome.
Any information you gather is revealed by illuminating the trail in a glowing light and made publicly available.
You cannot investigate the same target more than once per day.
The creature's claws rip through the poor, defenseless doctor's coat, opening deep gashes in their gut. It bares its fangs to lunge for the killing blow, but the doctor looks up at the attacker. Their eyes filed not with utter terror at their imminent demise, only a look of disappointment and pity. Touched, the monster hesitates. . .
This Effect activates whenever you receive a Severity 2 or higher Injury from an attack. It does not require an Action or Exertion. Select a Living target within 45 feet. Your target should be intuitively based on the triggering event. Roll Charisma + Influence at Difficulty 6. Affected targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, for the next minute, your target will do things they otherwise wouldn’t have done, inspired by remorse for hurting such a pure soul. They will not necessarily display their emotions in an obvious way.
Actions they take will be in keeping with their character and the way they tend to deal with strong emotions. They will be unlikely to change their mind about any actions taken or decisions made until after the Effect ends.
