Meant to be worn as a technological Armband: he presses onto a button and with a fiery burst of sparks, forged armor-plates forms into some sort of steampunk-fantasy-esque power armor.
Unreliable? I haven't field tested it yet.
Draining? There's a hear and air-circulation issue I'm working on it right now.
Expend a point of Battery and spend a Quick Action. Roll a single d10, Difficulty 4. If you fail or botch, the Effect fails and you cannot activate it again for an hour.
You transform into the Dwarven Sentinal for 3 minutes. You have access to all of your Powers while you are the Dwarven Sentinal, and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. Reverting from your Alternate Form cannot cause your existing Injuries to kill you. Instead, you remain Incapacitated.
While transformed, your Attributes are the same. Your Penalty is reduced by 2.
While transformed, instead of your normal clothes and equipment, you are equipped with: 6 ft Tall Steel Robot with a battle-axe.
After this Effect ends, you cannot move quicker than a walk (15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour.
A plain looking gold ring, with a hidden inscription that glows under the light of fire. The inscription is in old Norse, but reads: One Ring to Rule them All, and in the Darkness, Bind Them. Upon slipping on the ring they will turn completely invisible.
Curse of the Ring: When in danger or an uncomfortable situation, roll Self-Control to resist putting the ring on and running away. If you try to get rid of the ring roll self-controll as well
You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact.
You and everything you are carrying is obscured in one of the following manners. You may Spend an Action to change the way in which you're concealed.
While this Effect is active, any Effect that would obscure you or your equipment specifically from other, additional senses fails automatically.
If someone discovers you, this Effect will not help you hide from them for the next minute. Activating a targeted or obvious Effect, attacking, or being Injured ends the Effect. When the Effect ends, it is disabled for one minute.
Anyone who touches this Artifact will notice it warping their mind and may drop it. If they choose to hold or use it, they immediately receive the following Trauma: Curse of the Ring. If they lose possession of this Artifact, the Trauma heals over the course of the next day.
A 355ml bottle made of what appears to be heavy glass, and filled with a viscous liquid that churns in ribbons of black, dark red, pale yellow, and a sickly green. When it is drunk, it goes down smoothly, but there are no words to describe how unpleasant the aftertaste is. Immediately after being downed, the mouth, throat, sinuses, and stomach burn. The body rejects any toxic or diseasing contaminations and expels them through any available avenue, along with the ingested elixir, as the mind trembles under the experience.
Roughly a third of the bottle's contents must be consumed to take effect, and it seems to reconstitute the volume of a single use per day.
Expend a point of Battery and spend 1 minute. Select a Living target within arm's reach. Your target takes a Severity 1 Injury. Your target must make a Trauma roll when you activate this Effect.
You may cure any Non-Alien diseases, toxins, or poisons afflicting your target even if you have not diagnosed or fully understood it. You may cure diseases or poisons even if they are not treatable through modern medicine. During treatment, the malady you are treating does not progress or cause additional Damage or other effects.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see the target's body visibly shakes with obviously excruciating agony as blood, phlegm, and black and yellow bile are expelled from their pores, mouth, and sinuses.
When activated, the badge will glow lightly and the shield will not appear unless attacked, which then the shield will appear as if the attack hit a glass window, and either bounce off or shatter the window.
Expend a point of Battery and spend an Action or Reaction to activate. This Effect cannot be used unless you are being attacked. Roll Dexterity + Firearms at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you create a barrier around yourself, which absorbs the next Outcome Damage. The Damage reduction from the barrier is applied before Armor, and is treated like Armor by any effects such as Armor Penetration. You may only have 1 active barrier at a time.
You must maintain Concentration while using this Effect. The barrier will fall if you are interrupted, or if it absorbs the full amount of Damage. When a barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds.
Possession of this Artifact causes the following Trauma to manifest over the course of a day: roll self-control to give someone this item. If you lose possession of this Artifact, the Trauma heals over the course of the next month.
When wearing these shades which are not courtroom appropriate attire. If staring directly at an individual when they lie to you there’s a good chance they will feel nerve wracking guilt.
This Effect activates whenever When An Individual Lies to the wearer. It does not require an Action or Exertion. Select a Living target within 45 feet. Your target should be intuitively based on the triggering event. Roll Charisma + Influence at Difficulty 6. Affected targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6 -3 dice.
If you succeed, for the next minute, your target will do things they otherwise wouldn’t have done, inspired by Guilt. They will not necessarily display their emotions in an obvious way.
Actions they take will be in keeping with their character and the way they tend to deal with strong emotions. They will be unlikely to change their mind about any actions taken or decisions made until after the Effect ends.
If any affected target takes or deals Damage, this Effect ends.
People hear only what they want to hear... and see what they want to see. "Oh, are you allowed to be here? I'm gonna need to see some ID, pal." Welp, they want it... and they got it! Just show them this bad boy and you can get into a lot of places!
How's this doodad work? Uh... the power of imagination... haha. Quickly think about what you wanna show it and focus... believe in yourself! With the power of belief (and a helluvalot of moxie and confidence), you can use this to get anywhere.
How'd I make it? Uh... secret processes that would be too complicated for a layman like you to understand. Now screw off!
This Artifact can change its appearance. When not transformed, it is roughly the same size as a business card and just as difficult to conceal.
Spend a Quick Action to activate. This Artifact changes its appearance into an Object within the category of identity and security cards. This lasts until you decide to end the Effect, which may be done as a Free Action.
The new object's appearance can mimic specific items (such as a particular painting, a certain person’s ID, etc), but must be of a similar size and weight to this Artifact.
The new appearance is illusory; it will hold up to scrutiny, but its composition is not altered and it gains no new functionality. Any attempt to use it for a function which it cannot perform (for instance, making bread look like a knife and then trying to stab someone) will cause the illusion to fail or allow a Perception check to see through the illusion, at the GM's discretion.
When used as identification and scanned, the scanner will act appropriately and bring up appropriate generic information. Further searches for the identity in the computer will turn up no results. This will not open security doors on its own.
This device is a piece of chrome the size and shape of the back of a spoon. When placed against the skin, small hypodermic needles sprout from the device and attach it to the user's bloodstream. There, it filters and releases lifesaving drugs into the bloodstream, granting complete immunity from contracting new diseases and added resiliency in all other cases.
WARNING: The immunizing drugs have been shown to reduce inhibitions in test subjects.
