You become disguised in a manner of your choosing. The disguise lasts until you either activate a new disguise, or choose to end the effect.
The new appearance may have a different sex, age, and race to your own, and you may alter height by up to a foot and your weight by 50%. Your disguise cannot directly mimic an existing person. You cannot alter your clothes. A disguise cannot affect your Attributes or other stats.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see the fae magic violently warping and shifting the skin of the wielder to adapt to another look.
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.
This Effect ends if you take an Injury or are stunned or incapacitated.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate.
You transform into testing for 30 minutes. You have access to all of your Powers while you are testing, and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. While transformed, your Brawn is increased by 2 and your Dexterity is increased by 1.
Your alternate form is its own deadly weapon. Unarmed attacks made in your alternate form deal +3 Bonus Damage (instead of the typical -2).
Whenever you enter Combat, roll Mind, Difficulty 7. If you fail, you cannot choose which targets to attack.
You cannot speak any coherent verbal language while transformed and must resort to other means of communication.
The coin burns with unearthly fire as the character's flesh rends and from within a gorilla creature bursts forth, growing to 7 foot tall and proportionally muscular. Curling ram horns grow from its head as it does. Its eyes shine with the same unearthly fire that seems to burn into the heart of the human soul. When returning to normal form, the beast's flesh melts away grotesquely into a sludge, which sublimates within moments, leaving the character standing there in their original clothes and gear.
This is the corrupted form of the fallen angel trapped within the coin itself.
Exert your Mind (unless you win a coin flip) and spend a Quick Action.
You transform into large, leathery, gorilla-like creature with goat's horns and heavy claws for 3 minutes. You have access to all of your Powers while you are large, leathery, gorilla-like creature with goat's horns and heavy claws, and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. Reverting from your Alternate Form cannot cause your existing Injuries to kill you. Instead, you remain Incapacitated.
While transformed, your Brawn is increased by 1. You do not suffer any Stress while transformed.
Your alternate form is its own deadly weapon. Unarmed attacks made in your alternate form deal +3 Weapon Damage (instead of the typical -1).
You may end this Effect prematurely as a Free Action.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see the character's skin and clothing burst open and melt away as the gorilla form grows out from within their flesh. While active the gorilla form's eyes shine with the fires of hell itself..
Your alternate form renders you unable to speak any human language and incapable of fine object manipulation. You can only hold or grasp objects in a crude, clumsy way.
Anyone who touches this Artifact will notice it warping their mind and may drop it. If they choose to hold or use it, they immediately receive the following Trauma: Vengeful. If they lose possession of this Artifact, the Trauma heals over the course of the next day.
A swirling multicolored potion. On drinking the potion surrounds your tongue and shifts it to one not your own for the duration. You can the ability to converse with any around, as your tongue naturally shifts to the appropriate variant.
This potion is made by infusing the concepts of multiple languages and communication barriers into a liquid form.
It involves:
- multiple language references
- food and drink from a variety of different cultures, using different languages on the containers
- various books written in different languages
- chanting in different and swapping languages (small bits)
Use up this potion and spend an Action.
You may understand and communicate to Creatures, humans, and Sapient beings as if you are fluent in a relevant language for the next hour.
No matter what sort of magic you believe you wield, no matter how unfathomable you believe it to be, Iryna is starting to understand it. Bit by bit, piece by piece, she knows every energy is at its core touched by radiation, and she must reach out and channel it, let it flow through her and out again, tuning her resonance to it and understanding the energy you command.
Exert your Mind and spend one minute.
You automatically detect all beings invoking alien energy within 300 feet of you for the next hour. This includes any who come within range during the duration. You have a sense of how many valid targets are nearby, as well as their distance and direction.
You receive an energy signature for each being you detect.
All beings invoking alien energy who you can sense are equally able to sense you.
There's a purple glow in the room before everyone in it feels a different pull on them, either stronger or weaker depending on how it will be used.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
You may move easily and without a roll in any of the following situations. Lasts 2 hours.
As long as this Effect is active and you are traversing a terrain it covers, your movement speed is doubled.
The aquamancer dissolves into a flowing pool of semi-solid water. Anything they were carrying is left behind in a damp pile. While transformed, they may squeeze through tiny gaps, and are extremely resilient against most standard attacks.
Sometimes in the process, a little water will get lost, and the aquamancer may be a little hurt by the transformation.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
You transform into a flowing pool of water for the next minute. You may end the effect early and return to your normal form at will. Your structure must remain relatively contiguous. Observers will view you as an unusual entity moving with a singular purpose.
While in this form, you can squeeze through any gap that is not water-tight.
Injuries from standard attacks are reduced to Severity 1, but Damage from AOE effects is increased by 1.
You cannot communicate or use equipment while transformed. Your equipment does not transform with you beyond basic body coverings. You cannot carry any items while transformed.
You have access to your Powers while transformed.
When you activate this Effect, roll a single D10. if the result is 5 or lower, you receive a Severity-1 Injury and a Minor Battle Scar.
The Witch wiggles her fingers at her broomstick, and it leaps from the ground with a whoosh of wind. She may then hop on and fly around. It’s so fun, she often finds herself cackling uncontrollably.
Flight is brief but quick, and she must return to the ground in one minute.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must actively and obviously use a broom to activate this Effect. This Effect remains active for two hours.
As long as you are conscious, you are immune to falling Damage. Additionally, you may glide as you fall, traveling 35 feet horizontally for every 10 feet you fall. While gliding, you fall at a minimum speed of 10 feet per Round.
You may ascend into the air and fly using your mind. Your Free Movement is Mind x5 feet/Round, including vertically. You cannot Dash. When sprinting, roll Mind and add your rating in Mind plus 1 to the outcome, multiply by 5 to find your sprint speed. Your encumbrance limit is 10 lbs per point of Mind.
You are subject to the following effects while gliding or flying:
The beastmaster shouts, and their human voice cracks into a deep, bestial roar. Their body swells with muscle, clothes melting into a thick pelt of fur. Seconds later the beastmaster is gone. Standing in their place is a massive grizzly bear.
However, even in human form the beast within remains close to the surface, and the beastmaster finds highly civilized social situations unbearable.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
You transform into a brown bear for two hours or until you choose to end the Effect. See the Extended System text for stats.
While transformed, you cannot use any equipment (including Artifacts and Consumables), and you cannot use your Active, Direct, or Trap Powers. However, you can use your Passive Powers. Any equipment you are wearing transforms with you.
Injuries and Wound Level are carried over between forms. However, transforming can never kill you; you merely remain Incapacitated until your Injuries are sufficiently healed.
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Intolerance for society. When you are in a situation with strict social protocols (like a trial or a formal dinner) roll Self-Control not to enter a flight or fight response.
The Future Soldier's PSG is capable of briefly supercharging its effectiveness with a jolt of Omega Cell energy. While active, the future soldier glows with an extremely bright golden light.
While the shield is supercharged, the Future Soldier cannot move or see the outside world, but they are completely isolated from anything that occurs outside the shield.
Expend a point of Battery and spend an Action or Reaction.
You phase out of reality for up to 4 Rounds. During this time, you cannot perceive or affect the outside world or take any Actions. You cannot move. Nothing can interact with you in any way.
When you activate this Effect, you may limit its duration to a period of your choosing. If you are able, you may also end it as a Free Action on your initiative.
You leave a golden glow shaped like yourself at your location.
The time-traveler spins the second hand on one of their watches and speeds up until they are a blur.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must actively and obviously use a watch to activate this Effect.
Whenever you use your Movement, after all other calculations, the distance you may travel is doubled.
Outside of Combat, any non-Gift, non-movement Actions you attempt take drastically less time to complete, as long as your personal speed is a factor in the Action. Total time reduction is determined by the GM and capped at 90% (executing the Action takes no less than 1/10th the normal time).
