Nomie carefully lays down rocks and trinkets in a circle. Snacks go in the middle. One little head, four five ten. The gnomes convene, and the provider of snacktime picks the topic.
Off they run, one by one, each scurrying into nooks and crannies, under brush and foot. Each return carrying back a little trinket quite telling of what they've found.
Spend a minute. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 100 feet You must actively and obviously use sweets to activate this Effect. You cannot investigate the same target more than once per hour. At the end of your investigation, roll Charisma + Investigation at Difficulty 6.
You learn a single specific piece of information, chosen from the following list, about the area:
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.
While transformed into his chaotic, monstrous form, River's limbs and body shape naturally adapt to the terrain he's in, allowing him to move like a fish through water or tunnel through sand and mud.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are in your alternate form.
You may move easily and without a roll in any of the following situations.
Points of light show within Dr. Lamech and their patient's bodies like tiny stars where he touches. By directing and manipulating spiritual energy in the injured person, the doctor accelerates and promotes healing, forcing the wound to heal cleanly. Unfortunately the strain on the target leaves them open to haunting or possession by opportunistic spirits.
The Doctor has received a medical manual of spiritual healing, or Reiki. Despite his distaste for what he considers pseudo-scientific quackery, after reading the manual and practicing the techniques, he is in awe of the results. By laying on hands, he is able to feel and redirect the energy in people's bodies, speeding the healing process to supernatural levels.
Exert your Mind and spend 1 minute. Select a Living target within arm's reach. Your target must make a Trauma roll to reap the benefits of this Effect. They may choose to Resist the Effect and not make the roll. Choose a specific Injury on your target that has not yet been treated with this Effect and roll Intellect + Medicine at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, the Injury is reduced in Severity by your Outcome. If you reduce its Severity to 0, the Injury is fully healed. Otherwise, it is partially healed and will heal the rest of the way at its natural rate.
This counts as a successful Makeshift Stabilization if the Injury was not already Stabilized; any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will remain.
While wearing the Imperial Raiment, Emperor Norton the II can converse with anyone in any language.
You gain the following benefits at all times. You must actively and obviously be using Imperial Raiment to gain the benefits of this Effect.
You may understand and communicate to Creatures, humans, and Sapient beings as if you are fluent in a relevant language.
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Loyal Subjects.
Have you ever seen a seven and a half foot werewolf kick down a door?
Well, now you have.
In a pinch, Emily can use her paws, but there's not quite the same feeling as just booting a door down.
Of course, hitting something that hard is outside of the spec sheets Gen-Wyld has given her.
Increase your sacrificial Injury's Severity by 1 and spend an Action. Select a door, container, knot, or lock within arm's reach. This can be used on Alien targets.
You may lock, unlock, and/or open your target.
If you do not have a sacrificial Injury when you activate this Effect, take a new Severity-1 Injury.
Luna disperses water into the air, and the illusions appear shortly after.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target within 45 feet. You must use up 1 Liter of water in order to activate this Effect. Choose an illusion to generate, which can be no larger than an SUV.
The chosen illusion is generated at your target, and it will remain in place for the next minute or you choose to end it. It can be perceived by people through their touch, taste, smell, hearing, and sight. The illusion cannot be used as an attack. You cannot make an exact replica of an existing Animate being or Object.
Anyone who struggles against the illusion hard enough to break a window or who would be damaged by the illusion (or who would be able to perceive it significantly through a sense it cannot fool) realizes it is an illusion and can choose to perceive it or not at will.
The illusion is not fixed to the initial target, and may move about at a maximum speed 30 feet per Round. It may have moving parts and engage in simple, predetermined movements but cannot perform anything complex or interactive unless you maintain Concentration and “puppeteer” it.
Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Weakspot: The Sol symbol on her left shoulder and Shoulder Sublaxation.
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Nightmares: Her Twin being seperated from her, Psychopathy, and Compulsion to clean.
You never know whether or not the musician's death is merely part of the performance.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
If you would take an Injury that would kill you, you don’t die. Instead, you survive in an Incapacitated state. This state lasts for the next hour, at which point you fully return to life. Unstabilized Injuries do not degrade while you are Incapacitated
If, while you are unconscious, your wound level rises above your rating in Body + Charisma, or if you take an Injury with Severity greater than your rating in Charisma, you die. After you return, the Injury that would have killed you, as well as any Injuries sustained while Incapacitated, are healed. Battle scars obtained during this time remain.
The detective can flash their badge and bark out orders to a person or a crowd, and the target will have trouble ignoring their command.
Exert your Mind and spend at least one Action. All Sapient targets within 20 feet of you are affected. You must actively and obviously use a police badge to activate this Effect. Your target cannot be engaged in Combat. Communicate a command to your targets. Roll Charisma + Influence at Difficulty 6. Any affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7.
If the contested Outcome is positive, your targets will be compelled to follow your command to the letter-- but not necessarily the spirit-- of the command until they have completed it or for your Contested Outcome in minutes. You cannot issue another suggestion to the target until 10 minutes after they have completed the first command or 10 minutes after a failure.
The target is unaware that they are under supernatural influence and feel they are acting of their own free will. If you fail, they realize that you were attempting to influence them supernaturally with your command.
Your command can be an order to take an immediate Action. You cannot order a target to "do nothing," and they are free to take other Actions as they fulfill your request. Your command cannot be obviously self-destructive. Commands may force a target to violate one of their Limits, and they will need to make a Trauma roll once the suggestion wears off.
Perform the Five Point Technique via a series of quick pressure point hits on the target’s chest. As you do, channel your chi and speak a condition involving the number five. If the target cannot stop you from performing the technique, their heart will take a direct hit when they fulfill the chosen condition.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Living target within arm's reach. Roll Dexterity + Brawl Difficulty 6. The target may contest by rolling Body, Difficulty 6.
If the Contested Outcome is positive, the target takes that much Damage plus 2. The target's Armor is completely ignored.
When you activate this Effect, instead of occurring immediately, you may choose to delay its effects until the target takes a particular Action. For example: "when they fire a gun" or "when they swim in deep water."
Instead of dealing Damage all at once, the Injury caused by this Power starts at Severity 1 and worsens at the rate of one level per Round until it reaches the Severity it would have otherwise been.
Unimportant characters just can't seem to hit our hero with their attacks. Injuries that are sustained from underlings are conveniently non-severe.
You gain the following benefits as long as the attacker isn't important enough to have a name.
You have 4 Armor, which reduces incoming Damage. Armor from multiple sources does not stack. This Armor cannot be circumvented with Called Shots.
The Necromancer may exert their will on any undead creature, forcing it to act as they desire. The Necromancer's eyes turn completely black, and they speak a command to the creature in the language of the dead.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Non-Alien, Non-Sapient, Animate target within 20 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless the target is undead.
For the next day, you may issue specific commands to your target which they will be compelled to follow.
Your commands must be relatively simple and within the target’s intellectual grasp. You cannot make them obviously endanger themselves or violate their instinct for self-preservation. The effects of the command will fade after a day has passed.
