The user chooses to use the bead, then squeezes the pearl.
- If the pearl is not consumed, it cracks.
- If the pearl is consumed, the pearl shatters and turns to dust (that can be picked up, though it's just mundane pewter).


Use up this bead made of pewter (unless you succeed on 1d10, Difficulty 7) and spend an Action.

Your Stress from Injuries is reduced to 0. Lasts three hours. Does not reduce Stress from Mind Damage.

You may move at your normal speed and still maintain Concentration. Taking an Injury less than Severity 6 no longer interrupts Concentration.

  • This consumable is destroyed when used and cannot be used again.

If you are Stunned, asleep, drugged, or otherwise made unconscious for any reason other than being Incapacitated, you may Exert your Mind to wake up. Any penalty which was caused by this condition is removed.

If you do not have a sacrificial Injury when you activate this Effect, take a new Severity-1 Injury.

  • The sacrificial Injury received from activating this Effect cannot be prevented by any means or healed before 1 day has passed. It is shared with all Effects that use sacrifice. This Injury does not requires Stabilization or cause Battle Scars when it becomes Severe.

If they choose to hold or use it, they immediately receive the following Trauma: Unforgivable - An insult to or an attack towards a child simply cannot be tolerated.. If they lose possession of this Artifact, the Trauma heals over the course of the next day.

Your Body Penalty is reduced to 0. Lasts for one hour. Does not reduce Mind Penalty.
