Analogue Pathfinding What's so special about this place anyway?
You pull a fountain pen across a blank page, inking and shading a detailed, top-down representation of the surrounding area.
The map is shaded and annotated in thin black ink, but the coulour shifts to a bright red when drawing an area near the source of alien energy. The Sons of Salem

The Sons of Salem is a loosely-organized conservative populist movement in the United States that preaches violent opposition to anything they perceive as witchcraft, demonic, or monstrous.
Blowhard podcaster Ted Gundy and former general of the mercenary group “Hognose,” Roland Rush, founded the movement in 2010 after a series of violent werewolf attacks and unexplained, supernatural murders in Tennessee. Memberships grew quickly, stoked by Ted’s fiery doomsday rhetoric on his podcast "Truth Seekers" and the aspiration of the masculine power embodied by Roland.
Although they speak of duty, honor, and maintaining the “natural order” of things, the Sons of Salem are driven by fear. They collect guns and appear at protests en-masse as a way of easing the all-consuming terror of their powerlessness. At the same time, they have conditioned themselves to respond to fear with “strength” (read: violence).

The operator inserts a cylinder of liquid mercury into the sensor array, to be used as a liquid crystal medium. With line of sight to the sky, a small array is rapidly constructed out of LC, and a tachyon burst is emitted. The reflection from the ionosphere is used by the onboard AI to compile a complete mission awareness package.
After a minute, this package is displayed as a blue light holograph, floating in the air. The holograph can be panned and levels cycled though. Areas of interest are highlighted. The operator is informed.
The dossier is stored in the suit and be recalled by the operator at any time.
The Stellar Navy's intelligence departments are less spoken of, but they prefer it that way. They are responsible for informing the decision of using force, and assisting the Officer on the ground exactly how much, where, and against who. Henry misses these. In a pinch, however, Lith can do almost as well.

Psychosphere Delving
I'm in.
Channeling his mind into the psychosphere his mental self delves into the collective unconscious around his area, feeling the ebb and flow of supernatural energies in addition to the nature of the creatures within it. While within it though his mind touches each of the nearby creatures, from the smallest bug, to the mind's of other people and in doing so he shares a glimpse of their experiences. Though it is unintelligible in terms of information gleaned at this time, the mental shockwaves are devastating in their potential for psychological damage.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 1 mile You must actively and obviously use An orb of souls to activate this Effect. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. At the end of your investigation, roll Intellect + Occult at Difficulty 6.
You learn the following information about the area:
- You learn where exactly creatures and people live within the area, and what sorts of creatures they are.
- You choose a specific type of event and receive a vision of the last time it occurred here.
- You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
- Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.
Area Scan
Maru puts a gauntlet to their helmet, clicking a button. A few whirrs can be heard, before their helmet displays the information on the area around them. Mostly geographical, but new Web technologies allow them to detect some anomalous energies.

He who listens, he who answers

The deity the ear is connected to will hear these.
Dependent on how much it likes these, it will in return reveal information. Johnny puts his ear next to the mouth part to hear it.
“This deity is a vain being. It seems to like me, which is why it helps me but it really seems to be a rather vain creature. Is it even a deity, it might be a demon. If this is god I must be his favourite.
I don’t want to know what happens to me, the day that I stop entertaining it.”
