Studying the symbolic relationship between reality and emotions has given Cássio an uncanny understanding of how to manipulate them, beginning by how to mask his own. His honeyed words and practiced tone make the line between lie and truth impossible to discern, and his true intentions are known only to him.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Your Charisma rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Charisma (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).
Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Taste of Mercury: it's all you can taste these days. -2 dice to any checks involving taste, such as detectin poison in a drink.
You also gain the following effects:
Thanks to latent cursing & black-magical-enhancement that has been infused into Gigglegrins flesh: so long as he wears a shroud, he can't be seen!
The black magic that was used up to create both the Old Terror and the "shroud" grants the originates from far-eastern Russian Occultism way back when to the Cold War, and even prior: it's ancient mysticism bullshit and unfortunately though the actual nuance of how it works was lost to time... the effect remains largely the same.
Probably something something unholy nonsense. After being worn for so long it's magic has been infused with Gigglegrin himself, allowing him to personally utilise the cursed magic without the aid of the Old Terror. Although it still requires a shroud to fulfill some type of black-magic symbolism.
You gain the following benefits at all times. You must actively and obviously be using a shroud to gain the benefits of this Effect.
You are obscured in one of the following manners. You may Spend an Action to change the way in which you're concealed.
While this Effect is active, any Effect that would obscure you from other, additional senses fails automatically. If someone discovers you, this Effect will not help you hide from them for the next minute. This Effect does not end early when you activate an obvious Effect, attack, or receive an Injury.
It appears as if Will's arm seemingly grows infinitesimally small while reaching into the lock and opening it, sometimes distorting the observer's perception of Will as they struggle to reason the sight.
Will's perception of his gift is different to that of observers, once he wants to open a lock he simply reaches his arm in and opens it. The keyhole appears to expand to fit his arm, and he believes that this is completely normal. This is done instinctually, as if it were as natural as turning a doorknob.
Spend an Action to activate. Select a door, lock, or locked target within arm's reach , which is no more complex than a personal safe door or a keycard reader. Cannot be used on Alien technology.
You may lock, unlock, and/or open your target.
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.
Terry snaps his fingers, and mint-colored medical restraints appear with green sparks and wrap around his target. They may attempt to break free. After the binding is broken, the medical restraints decay in green sparks.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target within 20 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless the target is initiating or escalating physical aggression. Roll Intellect + Medicine at Difficulty 6. The target may contest by Defending or Dodging.
If you succeed, your target will be restricted at their location by a physical, tangible binding. They cannot move to a new location, and, if your Contested Outcome was greater than their Brawn, they are encased and cannot take any physical Actions other than attempting to escape until they break free.
The target may spend an Action and roll Brawn or Dexterity + Athletics to attempt to break free. They must accumulate a total Outcome equal to or greater than the original Contested Outcome to escape. Damage to the binding from outside sources also contributes.
A hit like that would leave any other to bleed out and die, helpless if not for medical aid. But you’re not betting anymore on whether your comrades can save you. Lady Luck’s favour extends… somewhat. That hit? Not as bad as it could have been. You lucky bastard. That wound had definitely taken your foot off, but it’s seemingly healed on its own.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Any Injury you receive heals quickly, reducing its Severity by one level every 6 hours. Any Injuries you receive while this Effect is active do not deteriorate over time. However, any Battle Scars caused by such an Injury will remain unless it is Properly Stabilized as normal.
All Injuries you receive are considered Properly Stabilized. You may also choose to heal any Battle Scar on yourself that may not have been caused by an Injury. Doing so takes one day, and the Battle Scar affects you fully until that time.
Once an Injury has been reduced in Severity by two levels, it no longer benefits from this effect and instead heals as normal.
look like an antinium
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You are permanently and visibly transformed: Antinium. You are considered to be a Sapient, Living Creature when targeted. Your Brawn is increased by 1.
Your body is adapted to digging. You receive +3 dice on non-attack rolls related to digging.
Your body provides you with the functionality of digging implements. If used to attack, these "tools" use the same stats as a small knife.
You cannot be mistaken for a normal human. You cannot always use standard human clothes, equipment, vehicles, and facilities, and when you can, you suffer an increased Difficulty.
You cannot ignore or decrease the effects of Stress for any Self-Control rolls you make.
While transformed, the werewolf's toughened hide provides protection from all manner of attacks, except silver.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are in werewolf form.
You have 4 Armor, which reduces incoming damage from all sources of physical attack except silver. Armor from multiple sources does not stack. This Armor cannot be circumvented with Called Shots.
Any Injury received from Damage that was reduced by this Armor is considered makeshift stabilized and will not degrade further. Any Battle Scar received from such an Injury is reduced by 1 level to a minimum of a Minor Battle Scar.
The survivalist spends a moment setting up a makeshift booby trap. The tripwires and pressure plates are so expertly hidden, they can only be noticed by those who have fallen victim to them before.
The victim is hit with a tiny curare dart. Pain wracks their body as a potent neurotoxin spreads through their veins.
Exert your Mind and spend 30 seconds to trap a region of any shape that contains your current location and fits entirely within 45 feet. This trap lasts one day or until triggered or disarmed. You must use up a dart in order to activate this Effect. Roll Intellect + Survival Difficulty 6.
The trap looks like a tripwire, a pressure plate, or a hidden switch. Only those who have seen this trap before can identify it as a trap. Anyone who is aware of the trap may intuitively avoid, trigger, or destroy it.
Any Living target that enters the chosen region will trigger the trap. The target may contest by rolling Body, Difficulty 6.
If the contested Outcome is positive, the target takes that much Damage plus 4. The target's material Armor is completely ignored.
The target suffers a -3 dice penalty for the next hour or until the Injury is healed. This dice penalty does not stack multiple times on the same target.
Instead of dealing Damage all at once, the Injury caused by this Power starts at Severity 1 and worsens at the rate of one level per Round until it reaches the Severity it would have otherwise been.
The Necromancer stands over a corpse and makes a series of grandiose lifting gestures. The corpse rises from the ground as though suspended by invisible strings, barks a pained groan, and lands on its feet, now a full-fledged member of the living dead.
Take a Severity-1 Injury and spend an Action. You must use up a corpse in order to activate this Effect.
Summon a single zombie at your location. They will last until they are destroyed. They are controlled by the GM but will follow any commands you give. You may have at most 1 minion active at a time.
Come one, come all! Stand in amazement and behold as the Fire Eater consumes a flame as if it were cotton candy! Gasp with fright as they breathe a plume of fire a great distance! And yes, ladies and gentlemen, it is quite dangerous.
Exert your Mind and spend two Actions performing the following ritual: perform a fire-breathing trick. Select a target within 20 feet which has both fuel and oxygen available (if you are starting a new fire). Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you take a Severity-4 Injury as the fire burns your throat. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted.
You may start or extinguish a fire as large as a fire in a residential fireplace at your target. You may create or extinguish fires the size of a lighter or candle flame without Exerting your Mind. Your fires require fuel and oxygen in order to continue burning.
Lighting a target on fire deals 3 Damage each Round on your turn, starting in the Round after the one in which they caught fire. This Damage is reduced by Armor, but the target’s Armor rating will be depleted by any Damage dealt, destroying the Armor once it reaches 0.
You may extinguish flames as a Reaction. This does not extend to explosives.
The mutant has grown a long, fuzzy tail resembling one found on a monkey or lemur. Odd as it may be, it certainly comes in handy, and it's got one hell of a grip. If removed, the tail regrows within a week.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You gain an additional limb that functions as a standard human arm and hand.
Each additional limb you posses can take one Quick Action per Round without incurring a -2 dice penalty to your main Action. Any Battle Scars that affect or remove your additional limb will heal in a single week.
Your appendage has a grip that is hard to shake. While grappling a target, when contesting their physical actions, you may roll your full dice pool, but it only counts as a Quick Action.
Your Extra Appendage is incapable of fine object manipulation.
