The coin burns with unearthly red fire as the character's flesh flays from half the body and sinew and bone expand out and a leathery bat like wing with a large claw erupts from the Host's back.
This is the corrupted form of the fallen angel trapped within the coin itself.
Exert your Mind (unless you win a coin flip) and spend a Quick Action.
You transform into half corrupted angel with a single claw-tipped batlike wing for 3 minutes. You have access to all of your Powers while you are half corrupted angel with a single claw-tipped batlike wing, and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. Reverting from your Alternate Form cannot cause your existing Injuries to kill you. Instead, you remain Incapacitated.
While transformed, your Brawn is increased by 1. You do not suffer any Stress while transformed.
Your alternate form is its own deadly weapon. Unarmed attacks made in your alternate form deal +3 Weapon Damage (instead of the typical -1).
You may end this Effect prematurely as a Free Action.

When activated, the Bloomguard Sigil shimmers visibly, its petals unfolding with a soft metallic hum. Pale, translucent vines of golden energy sprout from the artifact, wrapping around the chosen target in a protective spiral. The barrier appears as a faint, ethereal dome, barely visible unless it catches the light — like a soap bubble made of starlight. To any bystander, it is immediately clear that something supernatural is at play, and that the source of the protection is the brooch itself, now brightly glowing.
Forged from ancient rites long buried beneath the ruins of forgotten temples, the Bloomguard Sigil is a relic of divine craftsmanship, a marriage of mortal ingenuity and celestial will. It channels the unyielding defense of the legendary Aegis, but tempers it with the gentleness of new life — a balance between war and wisdom. Only those who understand the sacred bond between protection and sacrifice can awaken its true potential. When called upon, it weaves a barrier not from steel or stone, but from pure intent: a living testament to the wearer's will to defend what matters most.
Spend an Action or Reaction. Select a Animate target within 20 feet. Roll Intellect + Occult at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you create a barrier around your target, which absorbs the next Outcome +2 Damage. The Damage reduction from the barrier is applied before Armor. This Artifact may only have 1 active barrier at a time.
You must maintain Concentration while using this Effect. The barrier will fall if you are interrupted, or if it absorbs the full amount of Damage. When a barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds.
This Gift cannot have more than 3 Drawbacks, and its Gift Cost is capped at 1.
Wayne wraps the circlet around his skull and places a couple fingers aside his head... maybe that does something? He feels like it helps. There is a snap of electricity in the air and all nearby insects and animals suddenly go quiet for a moment. The air smells of burnt hair and pine sap.
The target and Wayne both seize up for a heartbeat... and then a greasy shimmer of ozone-laced air crackles between them Wayne's body goes limp, pupils blown wide. The targets eyes roll back... then forward again, now twinkling with Wayne's crooked glare.
On a critical failure, the roles reverse. The creature not stands rigid, adjusting Wayne's joints, blinking weirdly, sniffing the air, and fumbling with pockets. Somewhere in its new brain, Wayne screams.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action or Reaction. Select a Non-Alien Creature target within 300 feet. Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you are actually possessed by the target. They have the full effects of the Effect and have transferred the consciousness to you.
You possess your target and have control over their actions for the next hour. Your original body will be left behind, unconscious. You may perceive through your original body's senses by maintaining Concentration. If your original body is touched, you may roll Perception + Alertness to notice. You may spend an Action to end the possession early.
Stats: Any Actions you take will use the possessed creature’s Brawn, Dexterity, and Perception, but use your own Charisma, Intellect, and Abilities.
Gifts: You do not have access to any Gifts while you are possessing your target.
Death: If the host becomes incapacitated or is destroyed, you are forcibly evicted back into your own body. If the possession ends and your original body was killed or destroyed, you will die.
Eviction: You are able to engage in combat or take other risky actions without being forced out of the host’s body.
Targets with Body ratings higher than 10 require a Charisma + Animals roll resisted by the target’s Body. Kaiju and environment-scale targets are immune.

The new appearance is illusory; it will hold up to scrutiny, but its composition is not altered and it gains no new functionality. Any attempt to use it for a function which it cannot perform (for instance, making bread look like a knife and then trying to stab someone) will cause the illusion to fail or allow a Perception check to see through the illusion, at the GM's discretion.
