The artifact holds at least one demon bound to obey the commands and will of the wielder, and advance their interests. When used a demon crawl's its way out of the object, and takes flight, looking for enemies.
This artifact is made by summoning a demon and binding it to the object in a long ritual.
Expend a point of Battery and spend an Action.
Summon a single Bound Imp at your location. They will last for two hours, or until they are destroyed. They are controlled by the GM but will follow any commands you give. This Artifact may have at most 1 minion active at a time.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see Spiked bloody demon on fire emerge from the object.
You may only use this Effect once per day.
Tabatha folds a small piece of paper and lets it fly off and reach the target as they appear and she lets it fly off at a speed in a time before arriving at the target... Usually, and eventually. If accepted, the note burns up before a whisper of what was written is said in the sender's voice. If rejected or ignored, the note burns up and disappears.
Spend an Action. Select a target any distance away from you. You must have a specific target in mind, but you require only an intuitive understanding of them, such as their name, face, or Location.
You may send a single message to your target. It cannot be longer or more complex than a couple short sentences.
The message may be intercepted while in transit, and may be overheard, read, or otherwise understood by anyone near either you or the recipient. You must share a common language for your target to understand the message.
It shows them what they want to see! Hardly ever goes wrong, most people aren't clever enough.
This Artifact can change its appearance. When not transformed, it is roughly the same size as a ________ and just as difficult to conceal.
Whenever you show this Artifact to someone, you may give a general description of it, and anyone who hears the description and sees the Artifact will have their mind fill in the details to complete the illusion.
The way the Artifact is seen can mimic specific items (such as a particular painting, a certain person’s ID, etc), but must be of a similar size and weight to this Artifact.
The new appearance is illusory; it will hold up to scrutiny, but its composition is not altered and it gains no new functionality. Any attempt to use it for a function which it cannot perform (for instance, making bread look like a knife and then trying to stab someone) will cause the illusion to fail or allow a Perception check to see through the illusion, at the GM's discretion.
This odd shield is held with the concave side facing outward, like a bowl for attacks, but normally it´s wilded like any common metal shield. Its material seems metalic and, inside of the "bowl" there lies some runes that seem locked for the moment. On its center, it holds a pearl-like precious stone.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action or Reaction. Roll Brawn + Melee at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you create a barrier around yourself, which absorbs the next Outcome + 4 Damage. Any Damage absorbed by the barrier is reflected back to the attacker, up to a maximum of the Barrier Strength Parameter’s bonus. Their Armor applies in full. The Damage reduction from the barrier is applied before Armor. This Artifact may only have 1 active barrier at a time.
You must maintain Concentration while using this Effect. The barrier will fall if you are interrupted, or if it absorbs the full amount of Damage. When a barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds.
You may only use this Effect once per day.
When you activate this Effect, roll a single D10. if the result is 5 or lower, you receive a Severity-1 Injury and a Minor Battle Scar.
When the object is placed on over an injury, and overlay of their internal damage is highlighted and begins the process of repairing. The object must be held over the wound, but it is a rather painful process to heal, causing mental stress on the user.
Expend a point of Battery and spend 15 minutes. Make a Trauma roll when you activate this Effect. Choose a specific Injury on yourself that has not yet been treated with this Effect and roll Intellect + Medicine at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, the Injury is reduced in Severity by your Outcome, unless it had Severity 4 or higher, in which case its Severity remains the same. If you reduce its Severity to 0, the Injury is fully healed. Otherwise, it is partially healed and will heal the rest of the way at its natural rate.
This counts as a successful Makeshift Stabilization if the Injury was not already Stabilized; any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will remain.
Julian Vasquez lays on the black top, spit on his forehead as Jason and Jessica walk away laughing. The need for justice fills his heart and he looks down at his Amulet, Paranoias amulet. he grabs it and red light glimmers through his hands. He calls out for Paranoia and his calls are returned. A demonic figure blood across his body bursts from the floor grabbing Jessica by the throat and using its twisted claws to shape Jessica's face into that of a pigs. Julian smiles, justice is served.
Exert your Mind and Spend an Action to activate. Select a Living target within arm's reach. Roll a single d10, Difficulty 4. If you fail or botch, the Effect fails and you cannot activate it again for an hour. Roll Charisma + Influence at Difficulty 6. The target may roll Body, Difficulty 7, as a Free Action to resist.
If you succeed, the target receives a new Battle Scar of your choosing, limited by the contested Outcome:

This device is a piece of chrome the size and shape of the back of a spoon. When placed against the skin, small hypodermic needles sprout from the device and attach it to the user's bloodstream. There, it filters and releases lifesaving drugs into the bloodstream, granting complete immunity from contracting new diseases and added resiliency in all other cases.
